Morpheus had a strong suspicion that something unknown had happened in Silent Hill.
It could very well be a trap set for Sirzechs and Serafall by their enemies.
Otherwise, how could a place like Silent Hill possibly trap two powerful devils like Sirzechs and Serafall?
Morpheus's interest was piqued.
No matter what, a trip to Silent Hill was now unavoidable.
"Wait here for me. I'll be back soon," Morpheus said to Rias, preparing to leave. But before he could, Rias grabbed the hem of his clothes.
"No way, I'm coming with you."
"Are you sure? Even your brother got trapped. If you go in, you might not be able to help and could end up being a burden."
"..."
Why did this guy always have to speak such blunt truths?
It was almost insulting—not just to her, but to devils in general.
But thinking about her brother's strength, Rias had to admit he was right.
With her level of power, she might indeed end up being a liability.
Still, her brother had been missing for so long, and she was worried sick.
For a moment, Rias stood frozen, unsure of what to do.
Seeing her hesitation, Morpheus sighed. "Fine, you can come along. With me there, nothing will go wrong."
Before Rias could react, Morpheus scooped her up and cast a teleportation spell.
In an instant, they vanished from Japan and arrived in United States.
The entire process took less than a second.
Teleportation magic was just that convenient.
Once in United States, Morpheus pulled out his phone, opened the GPS to confirm their location, and then pinpointed Silent Hill's coordinates.
It wasn't long before he and Rias reached the highway outside Silent Hill.
Relying on his immense power and confidence, Morpheus didn't hesitate and led Rias straight into Silent Hill.
Upon entering, he found the place eerily desolate.
The streets were completely empty.
Not a single person could be seen in the houses or the supermarket nearby.
In fact, it wasn't just people—there wasn't even a trace of monsters.
Silent Hill felt like an isolated island, a deserted one at that.
Morpheus raised his hand and cast a detection spell. A red light bloomed from his palm, spreading out from him and sweeping through the streets and alleys of Silent Hill.
Rias, watching this, couldn't help but want to comment, "Aren't you afraid of alerting the enemy by doing this?"
But considering Morpheus's strength, she kept her mouth shut.
"Interesting," Morpheus murmured to himself after the detection spell swept through Silent Hill.
Rias asked, "Did you find something?"
"Nothing at all," Morpheus replied, shaking his head.
"How is that possible?" Rias was stunned. She trusted that Lady Serafall wouldn't lie to her. Her brother and Serafall were definitely trapped here.
So why couldn't they find them?
Morpheus explained, "It's perfectly normal. We haven't entered the true Silent Hill yet."
Rias blinked, confused.
"Someone has constructed an Otherworld within Silent Hill," Morpheus clarified. "Where we are now is the surface world of Silent Hill, completely devoid of life."
"Only by entering the Otherworld can we see the real Silent Hill."
Rias looked around. She wasn't unfamiliar with the concept of creating pocket dimensions.
But the fact that she hadn't sensed anything meant the one who built this Otherworld was far stronger than her, so she hadn't noticed a thing.
"Can you get in?" Rias asked.
Morpheus laughed heartily. "Who do you think I am?"
He slowly extended both hands into the void, then pulled with force. A ripping sound echoed as he tore open a human-sized rift in the fabric of space.
Then, with a swagger, Morpheus stepped through.
Rias stared, dumbfounded. It was her first time seeing someone physically tear open a spatial barrier to bypass a restriction preventing entry into an Otherworld.
This was beyond unbelievable.
"Are you coming or not?" Morpheus's voice called from within the rift.
Snapping out of her daze, Rias hurriedly followed.
Upon entering the Otherworld of Silent Hill, Rias was shocked to find it wasn't much different from the surface world.
It was just as desolate, just as empty.
The only difference was that this place looked like it had been the site of a brutal battle.
More than half of Silent Hill had been reduced to rubble—buildings were in ruins, and the ground was scarred with craters and gouges.
Rias extended her senses, trying to detect her brother Sirzechs's magical signature.
"This way," Morpheus said, beating her to it with a discovery.
Seeing him pick up his pace, Rias quickly followed.
The two soon arrived at a church in the heart of Silent Hill.
The church stood unscathed, untouched by the devastating battle that had ravaged the surroundings, standing tall amid the ruins like an anomaly.
Morpheus stepped forward and pushed open the church's doors.
Inside were a few people.
Among them were Sirzechs and Serafall.
But the two devils were in bad shape. They were bound, nailed to crosses like suffering martyrs.
The enemy hadn't done this just to torment them.
Morpheus could see that their powers were sealed within the crosses.
Clearly, this was a special sealing ritual.
Besides Sirzechs and Serafall, three others were in the church.
One was the enemy Sirzechs and Serafall had been tracking—the son of Lucifer, the Satan of the Hell.
Rizevim Livan Lucifer.
Behind Rizevim stood two others.
One was a handsome man with gray hair, whom Morpheus recognized instantly.
Vali Lucifer.
Rizevim's grandson, host of the Longinus Divine Dividing, a human-devil hybrid, and the strongest White Dragon Emperor in history.
Morpheus recalled that in the original story, Rizevim, for his own amusement, had incited his son to join him in tormenting Vali.
Vali's father, fearing his son's talents surpassed his own, frequently abused him.
Vali's mother, trying to protect him, was beaten and could only comfort her son in secret by making him pasta.
Unable to endure, Vali was eventually saved by a servant's sacrifice and taken in by Azazel, the Governor General of the Grigori. Under Azazel's guidance, Vali learned to communicate with Albion, one of the Two Heavenly Dragons residing within him, and harnessed the power of his Divine Dividing.
