"Nikolai! Run! You get into the centre! If the guards don't let you in-" Taekjoo then throws a key card at Nikolai "give them this and tell them you're with me!" he said before he got punched by Ims.
Nikolai set out on a run to his blue sedan, now with that dealt with Taekjoo could focus on Ims who was currently trying to get out from under Taekjoo. He slammed Ims' head onto the ground, blood splattering when he does so, it was a gruelling sight, it wasn't pleasant at all. He didn't know why but he felt bad to some extent. But when the man almost broke his hand he lost the will to feel bad.
Letting out a roaring scream, hearing the bones snap under the pressure of Ims bending his wrist in ways it shouldn't he tumbled to the floor, laying next to Ims with a dark bruise forming around his wrist, the skin had been punkered in places now letting out small beads of blood, his dark skin now becoming almost black with red, his eyes were smushed shut. He let out groans of pain, quickly choosing he will never recover from them.
Ims looked hurt by what he had done to Taekjoo but quickly replaced that hurt with anger, rushing out of the house and calling back up.
Through the pain Taekjoo got up, he used his leg to make Ims tumble to the floor, taking out his knees and making Ims kneel, Taekjoo ran to in front of the door and it his place to not let him out, but he soon got thrown to the ground by agents, looking around and not clocking that Taekjoo was the threat.
"Cheif where's the threat sir?" one of them asked, looking down at the old man, whose suit was stained with Taekjoo's blood and so clearly ruined. Ims pointed a hand at Taekjoo and the agents looked at him. But did they know what to do? No, of course not.
"He's the threat" Ims said with venom laced in his voice.
The agents picked Taekjoo up and cuffed him, sending roaring pain up his arm from the broken bone. It was clear it hurt but as soon as these guys knew someone was a threat they didn't care, but some remorse had found its way on Ims face.
They took Taekjoo to the sleek black cars and threw him into the back seat of one, with Ims sitting next to him.
"Taekjoo, if you had listened and got the cargo to me then this would never have happened, your wrist wouldn't be… um… that" Ims carefully said. Taekjoo slowly side eyed him.
"Oh yeah like you weren't hoping to break my wrist" the sarcasm dripped from Taekjoo's voice as he spoke, earning a loud scoff from Ims. The remorse completely left Ims at Taekjoo's words, he didn't care for the kid he had raised since he was nineteen. Nope didn't care one bit, okay maybe he cared a little, he just wasn't showing it.
They arrived at headquarters and the agents roughly pulled him from the car, dragging him across the floor as they make their way to the holding cells, people glanced over, he heard gasps and quiet remarks of betrayal but he saw that little girl he talked to earlier, her face was filled with anger and sadness, at him. Taekjoo dipped his head, hiding the fact her face upset him.
Once into a quieter part of headquarters Ims started talking.
"You're not going to be here for long, it's just that I need you to think about what you did over. You're still a valuable asset to me" Ims muttered. He knew that would hit Taekjoo in ways he could understand but in the end he just got more pissed off. Suddenly the agents were planted on the ground and Taekjoo was running.
"Get up you buffoons! Get him!" Ims started screaming orders. The pain was getting worse and he knew he wouldn't have his hand anymore, he just needed something to get these cuffs off. But what?!
The keys were right there on the agent but he couldn't get close enough, the agents stood up charging at him once more, effortlessly pinning him down and putting him in a cell. Slowly pink smoke embraced him and he collapsed, feeling the cold concrete of the cell and the slight sting in his cheek.
—
The scene was black before he blinked his eyes open, distant chatter echoed around but his brain was too tired to actually process what they were saying. One sounded like a girl and the other a guy very similar to Nikolai's voice, the Russian accent was thick. Sitting up he felt cold metal around his wrists, but he still felt the running liquid of blood running down his broken skin around his snapped wrist.
Sitting up sent pain through his arm, his hand was practically useless and most likely not going to be able to be used, after this he needs to get to a hospital.
He glanced around, he was in the enemy cells, but why? He wasn't an enemy, his head hurt. He tried racking his brain of what was happening but he just couldn't, nothing would come to find.
Harsh patterns of footsteps echoed through the hallways of the cells, stopping in front of him. Ims.
"Ahh, you're awake" the man kneeled down, his suit was cleaned and or changed into a new one. His agents stayed by his side keeping watch at all times, he felt out of place in this fucking cell.
"What… happened?" Taekjoo asked with a tremble in his voice, looking down at the ground and the slowly growing pool of blood behind him.
"Oh.. you don't remember. Good" Ims' voice lowered at the end of the sentence, he reached into the cell and brought Taekjoo's head up to look at him, deep purple and pale orange eyes met amber eyes. "How's your head?" Ims then asks.
"It hurts" Taekjoo replies, rubbing himself against Ims' hand, it was something he did when he was younger, feeling comfort in the older man, but Ims was surprised he would do it now, after everything that happened. So he popped the question.
"What do you remember?" keeping Taekjoo's eyes on him he watched Taekjoo's reaction closely, the man thought for a while but couldn't come up with an answer.
"I don't know" Taekjoo replied, his eyes finally meeting Ims head on. Ims nodded to his agents and the door to the cell slowly opened with a loud clatter of metal, the clack of the metal cuffs around his wrists, then the cold feeling fell from his skin soaring pain made itself present once more as the agents moved to unlock the cuffs around his ankles, Ims extended a hand to Taekjoo and he took it, getting help to stand up.
"We need to clean this face of yours up and that wrist as well" Ims' voice dripped with artificial kindness. Keeping his movements calm and collected to not frighten Taekjoo as he seems to be a child once more. He glanced at his agents around him to keep watch at all times as they walked back up to the main building of the NIS.
The bright sunlight came in contact with Taekjoo's eyes and he squinted and put a hand up to cover his eyes, quickly saying a curse in Korean, slowly opening his eyes once more to get his eyes to adjust to the blinding light of the sun.
"Are you alright?" Ims asked, keeping the fake sweetness but Taekjoo picked up on it immediately this time. He glared at Ims but Ims thought it was just teenage rebellion in an adult body, but Taekjoo's brain slowly became adult once more.
"Mhm" Taekjoo simply replied with, looking away from Ims, though his memories weren't there his maturity was very much present. He didn't know what was happening, he was greatly confused, nothing made sense, was anything ever going to make sense ever again? Maybe not. But maybe that was for the better.
Finally reaching the headquarters once more everyone was one edge as they watched as Ims' walked with Taekjoo, eyes staring for ages as they walked toward his office.
'I want them to stop looking at me' Taekjoo thought to himself, looking toward the floor and watching as he mindlessly walked, for some reason he started processing the fact he was walking, 'one foot, then the other, one foot, then the other' he repeated in his head, watching his feet do as they were told. He saw the feet in front of him stop, making him stop in his tracks, Ims' gestured toward the inside of his office, the office didn't look any different, it was the same as always, wooden floors, dark wood desk right in the middle with two chairs, one looking more comfortable then the other, the uncomfortable chair was his, while the comfortable one was Ims'.
Sitting down in his chair he waited for Ims to sit, looking around he saw cupboards, with a rare amount of books in the cupboards. Ims finally sat, interlacing his fingers and giving Taekjoo a hostel smile. Taekjoo picked up on it, it was immediate, he didn't need to look for too long to know something had happened between the two, maybe that could explain his wrist? He didn't know, a soaring, stinging pain echoed around his head, fuck it pounded, it hurt, why did it hurt?
Suddenly he remembered, Nikolai, Aiko… wait, Aiko! Where is she!?
He remembered everything, everything that happened, his wrist, Ims broke it, on purpose, Nikolai was meant to be here, but why wasn't he, what happened to him? Was he okay? Where was Aiko? Does Ims' still have her or did she escape? Fuck he didn't know, he needed to know.
"Wheres Aiko?" Taekjoo asks with venom, matching Ims' earlier tone of voice.
"Fuck you remember" Ims' face dropped, Taekjoo had regained his memory and Ims' wasn't impressed about it, looked upset almost. Letting out a scoff Ims got up and closed the door, locking it so no one could leave nor come in.
Looking out the window behind Ims' chair Taekjoo saw the ocean, why did he feel drawn to it, he needed to get to it. Springing up from his sat position he planted a punch in Ims' face, using his knowledge to unlock the door and run, his wrist hurt as he ran, but he ignored it, it wasn't important at this current moment, nothing was more important than getting to the ocean, agents chased after him as he weaves and dodged people in the headquarters, he knocked some people over but he himself can't be knocked over as he needed to get out of this place.
Finally feeling the cold air hitting him the coldness didn't help the wound, running toward the water he finally reached it, he felt the urge to jump in but he hated the ocean, he didn't want to get closer to it, he didn't want to feel the dampness of the water.
He fell to his knees and finally processed what had happened, he lost his memory, somehow, Ims' used his for a second and now he's here. Gosh how things can escalate within a couple minutes.
Sitting down on the sand he messed with it, picking it up and slowly letting it fall through his finger, but something made him go to the water.
With his hurting wrist he walked towards the water, getting splashed as he walked in.
