Elsa's eyes went wide. "Mom?"
The woman in the doorway smiled warmly, her eyes closing for just a moment. When she opened them again, she waved one hand dismissively.
"Don't let me interrupt," she said smoothly. "You two can continue."
Elsa immediately stepped back from Liam, her face going bright red. She smoothed down the front of her skirt quickly, her hands moving to straighten her hair.
"No, Mom—" Her voice cracked slightly. "We weren't— I mean—"
Liam stayed completely still. He didn't say anything. Just slipped his hands into his pockets and looked at Diana calmly, his expression neutral.
Diana smiled gently, the kind of smile that said she knew exactly what she'd walked in on and found it amusing. "Elsa, sweetheart. It's alright. Really."
She stepped further into the office, the door closing softly behind her.
Diana was wearing a short dress that hit just above her knees.
