"Melisandre, the Red Woman! I've heard much about you!" As Moroa and her two-headed disciples departed, Jon led Melisandre, who had been waiting for days in Redemption Town, into the castle to meet Lynd.
"Prince, you know me?" Melisandre looked at Lynd and said with a smile, "Prince, you seem very familiar with me?"
"Yes, I am indeed very familiar with you." Lynd nodded and said, "This isn't our first meeting."
Melisandre was startled, then asked in a deep voice, "When you displayed your divine power in Kohor back then, could you also see me?"
"You were in Kohor back then too?" Lynd looked surprised.
Melisandre realized she had misunderstood, so she asked again, "I'm very curious, where have we met before? Prince, can you tell me?"
"I may have led you to misunderstand. It's that I know you and have seen you, but you don't know me." Lynd smiled and said, "I know your prophecy, the prophecy of Azor Ahai, and I also know what you are." As he spoke, Lynd pointed to the ruby necklace around Melisandre's neck, "Honestly, you should convert to the god of magic. Staying here with me might be better."
"If you truly know me, then you know it's impossible for me to convert." Although Melisandre felt that Lynd seemed to see through her, she still managed to compose herself and speak calmly.
"Yes, you truly won't convert, because you live by the power of R'hllor. Once you convert, you will also lose your life." Lynd looked at Melisandre and asked, "What should I call you, Red Woman, or the Chosen of the Lord of Light?"
"My current identity is only one: the envoy of Azor Ahai reborn," Melisandre said in a deep voice.
"Azor Ahai reborn?" Lynd chuckled lightly and said, "Do you really believe that Azor Ahai reborn is Stannis Baratheon? Have you truly understood the prophecy you saw in the flames?"
Melisandre frowned and said, "I firmly believe in my Lord's revelation."
Lynd said no more, returning to the main topic, "What did Stannis send you here to do?"
"I asked to come myself," Melisandre corrected. "I am here to order a batch of weapons and a batch of armor from you."
"We do not sell armor." Lynd shook his head and said, "You should have connections at the Red Temple in Kohor; you can purchase directly from Kohor."
Melisandre hesitated, "Isn't Kohor also your territory?"
"No, Kohor is a city-state of Lorath, not Summerhall." Lynd had no intention of continuing to discuss Kohor's ownership with her. He directly asked, "How many weapons do you need? What types?"
Melisandre stated the weapon types and corresponding quantities.
Lynd was surprised, as the number was much larger than he had anticipated, which made him wonder, "There are no wars in the Seven Kingdoms right now, yet Stannis needs to order so many weapons?"
Melisandre looked at Lynd and smiled, "Since when does Summerhall need to ask the buyer for their reason for purchasing weapons?"
"No, it's not necessary, I'm just curious, you don't have to answer." Lynd shook his head and said, "As far as I know, Stannis is not well-off. How does he plan to pay for such a large sum of weapons and equipment?"
"With dragonglass," Melisandre said.
