When morning came, Yuzu felt as if the world had finally returned to normal again. The servants were busy outside, and the chaotic voices of drunken men had vanished completely.
Yeva arrived early to tell her that she needed to rest for a few days. Besides the sprain in her leg, she had bruises and scrapes from throwing herself off the balcony.
"Has Sir Niky left already?"
Yeva, checking the swelling around Yuzu's ankle, nodded. From Viktor's expression the night before, Yeva already knew the consequences wouldn't end with the punishment Niky had given.
"He went to work. Should we call him? You seem awfully attached to the Boss lately."
"Don't!"
The moment Yeva reached for her phone, Yuzu panicked and grabbed her hand. Her cheeks flushed a deep red. She couldn't believe Yeva would disturb Niky just because she had asked where he went after she woke up.
