Ars didn't give Hikaru a chance to say anything.
The moment he finished speaking to Dmitri, he tightened his grip around Hikaru's wrist and pulled her away from the crowd. His strides were long and decisive, utterly indifferent to the fact that Hikaru struggled to keep up with his pace. Ars showed none of the visible anger one might expect, yet it was precisely that calmness that made Hikaru's anxiety deepen.
Ars said nothing, not even when they reached the parking area.
"Sir—"
The driver who usually accompanied Ars everywhere was already waiting there. He froze the moment he caught sight of Ars's expression. Sensitive to the shift in atmosphere, the driver bowed slightly and stepped aside as Ars and Hikaru passed.
"I'll retrieve your equipment, Sir."
Ars responded with a brief nod.
