Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

Once the symbol was completely formed, it started to glow. Radiating a light so bright and blue, it appeared to have been set aflame from within, which soon began to spread as the rest of the magic circle began to glow in turn.

Once the circle began to shine to the point that it was almost too bright to see, a figure started to emerge from the surface of the circle. The top of her head was the first thing to appear, revealing a raven black mane, which was soon followed by the rest of her body. Once her feet were pulled out of the magic circle, she hung above the circle, momentarily suspended in the air as her toes dangled just inches above the circle.

Its job now completed, the magic circle began to disperse into specks of blue light which soon faded into nothing. The figure slowly drifted to the ground, and once her feet was firmly planted on the ground, she opened her eyes.

They were eyes of violet, shining like gems of amethyst. She was a small woman, one that could easily be described as petite, though one impossible to be mistaken for a child due her fully formed figured. Her hair was worn in pigtails that were held in place with violet ribbons, and she was dressed in what appeared to be a magical girl costume made out of pink and white cloth. She held a matching colored wand tipped with a star in her right hand, while with her other hand she shaded her eyes as she gazed around the place she found herself in with an open curiosity.

It's not every day that a devils gets to meet their original ancestor after all. Being summoned by one was a rare event, one in a trillions chance to say the least.

Surrounding her petite figure were weapons. Peerless weapons from countless legends and myths were planted point first into the ground around, spreading outwards towards the distant horizon, shining s bright because of the glimmering light of the suns, numbering so many that they were beyond counting. In the gold and crimson skies above her were an eye, a single slitted golden colored eye. the eye are watching every of her movements, whenever she goes right, the eyes pupils will follow her, seemingly to search any kind of suspicious movement like as if it's it only purpose.

Let alone a goddess just from another world

But she paid the giant unblinking eye no mind as something else had captured her attention.

Usually the only demons in the history are the one who always trying to slay everything, us included. the devils

Stepping forward, she began to make her way between the sword in her left and a hammer in her right and goes towards the one that had held her interest. She didn't travel far before she stopped just outside the edge of the magic symbol that was carved into the ground.

Eyes wide with wonder, she gazed at the figure seated inside the magic symbol

It was a young man approaching the end of his teenage years. His hair was colored with a golden-colored blonde. A man with eyes of green that shine so bright that they were almost emerald. He was tall for his age, topping six foot in height, though he didn't look it since he was currently sitting on the ground . it's a human, but if someone check closely with their magical sense they would sense a faint magical presence of a demon lingering around the boy.

Cradled in his arms was an older-looking woman who looks like just hit her 30's, barely With hair that's colored similar to the younger boy ,she looked ethereal, like something out of this world. Almost like a fairy out of legend. The colors of her eyes could not been seen as they were hidden behind her closed eyelids. With a peaceful smile adorning her face, she would have looked like nothing more than a slumbering mother if not for the unnatural stillness that took hold of her body and the crying boy that embraced her so tightly towards his chest.

His tone made a demand instead of the question he asked the Goddess that's stood before him as her very eye's just unblinking as it looked at him impassively towards the knight "As I can feel your anger and disappointment and disapproval but it is for as You're very good intentions I tell you now, something else often importance that I did not tell your very friends about and as I did not keep you just here lightly, Rusted Knight." as she's told him and just turning to stare at the enraged fairy tale knight before her. "But I have a quests I can only entrust to you with this and that—--" As she's was Just interrupted "I don't want your quest !" As He just roared towards her now and as continued speaking "I want to go back home. And I want to enjoy my last remaining life in peace and I wanted to finally settled down and as meet my family and has I want put my past behinds me and my very failures and I want to rest Finally but you rob me of that Why!" as His hand fell to his very hilt of his broken sword, his stance taking on readiness to attack the God that stood before him once more as A heavy silence hung in the air between the two. The blacksmith stared evenly at Jaune, who returned its blank look with trembling rage and sorrow, before as the blacksmith spoke again, " Don't mistaken my very intensions rusted knight I don't hold you back to punish or tortured you but this is a task Only you can do and as you being the knight of ever after and as rust and the hero of both land's and your very responsibly too

And rest ensure and Your very reward as shall be the opportunity to return to your realm with other's things as well and with the very powers to fix the mistakes my creations have wrought on you, and your very world but first you must help me to find them and clear another matter that recently event rusted knight" As she told him with a smile on her very face as then Jaune began to reign his anger and listened to the goddess very speech in fronts of him and then his very mind processing the very words carefully as he's heard, as his gauntlet clad hands just slowly moved away from the hilt of his blade, but kept his scowl on his face as he stared down the deity before him and " just What do you mean find them ? As How can I do that when you The Goddess of creation just cannot do it ?" He's asked incredulously and standing straighter and walking forward when the blacksmiths asked him to do so has then The goddess shakes her head.

" That is not something I cannot do rusted knight

As I could find them, yes," As The very Goddess admitted as looking's towords her very champion

but spoke more before the knight could interrupt her "But to do so I need to leave and as leave this world unattended and just your world as well face more problems Than anything's as then When my very creations abandoned it,... I used my power to stabilize and as divert the doom they had wrought upon your home To divert my energy to search for them would rend your very world's asunder to it's very end." As she Told him "I see…..Your reason" The Rusted Knight said, placing his hands with a clunk of metal on the very stone near the anvil the very Blacksmith used a while age."As it is though, with your very aid Jaune Arc, I can do it this..." As she told him as After a while as he started to walk around and was thinking's of everything's that she told him Something's started make sense as how did everything's begin in remnant and It wasn't by coincidence It was by someone's and she was the one there for them when no one was and if she's leaves then it might put everyone and everything in jeopardy and What about his friends and family and how would they feel when they realize that's they have the wrong person with them And what if they truly grateful for it as they we're quites happy with his doppelgangers and as I don't know How's it feel about that at all" As he was thinking's about his very situation " assure your friends will be safe and your family will be protected as theirs world is not in danger's and not will be attacked by Salem for a while and as it's will be perfect opportunity to strike and to seized this moment's notice" As she told him as the knight looked towards her and just understood what she's meant If there is a way to help and permanently fix everything then it's very worth the very least the risk and as he is the only one who could do it It is something he's not proud of but he is the only capable person here's as He knows magical beasts and he's just knows about many things around here considering everything's that happened in Ever After till now he knows just about everything around here and then he decide.

" ok then what do I have to do?" knight just asked, furrowing his brow and as staring into the flaming abyss around the very forge the two stood in and the very goddess nodded at him… " As thank you for understandings situations has you might know this as your very friends just mights have left you behind here but in the end it was a better situation as Those girls are quite innocent and quite naive at very much most of the times And that might be one of the few reason's I did not ask them as the truth is the situation and the being's you're going to face or something more dangerous and as than anything You might have never faced in your very entire life and as you the hero of ever after as just are the only and the best choices I have and then that poor girl's who lost so much and they all just might break from the responsibilities with the very mission now" As she told him as ceasing any kind of doubt within him about himself and his friends.

As then jaune started to look toward's and asked her one questions " What do you have in mind ?" As the goddess smiled towards him "Become my very apostle of war as you will shed the title of the Rusted Knight of ever after and has then you can become a new hero and in the process as you will become just something as more greater as times passon as the very Apostle of Restoration and as the new light will emerge one day and as you will guide it and then with my blessings and boons to go forth and just help me bring my failed creations back to me to judge them for the very crimes." As the goddess of ever after told the knight just now.

then where will I go ?" As the rusted knight asked as then striding forward to stand beside the being as it held out a hand, letting it fall on his shoulder and gasping, feeling warmth spread through him and seeing his body, armor, and clothing included glow a bright red before the red faded away then as his armor restored to the white and gold forged steel as if it had just then gotten repainted and as repaired before he could blink as well knight look around his

surrounding's as thing's just changed as the goddess spoke once again "Another world, same than yours, but where you can learn how to use the very powers I bestow on you." A doorway appeared to his left, as ornate white wood with a gold trimmed handle and frame and "Go now, and master your new skills become the new being you are meant to be and fulfill your task." As the very goddess told him as then as taking the helmet the Blacksmith held out to him as restored to its prime like the rest of his armor and just placing it on his head as then Jaune just grabbed has the handles of the door and stepped through and then It's was the moment of the truth that presented before the knight himself As The light breeze alongside has the sunlight just woke jaune as from his nap again

as Cackling of a campfire started to fill his ears as his very eyes fluttered open slowly as he blocked the sunlight. As By the campfire was another one of the knight with him, and tending to the very fire to keep as the very temperatures at a comfortable level for both of them "Good morning," jaune said as he yawned as he started to get up has knight just started to turned his head around, giving him a light smile." Good morning lord Arc It's is a fine morning but it needs to be cut short as just we're nearly at The enemies Ford and it was rumored that a scarlet witch is there And with her company of men beside her and their rumors that she had dragons as well this time That was the report as I was given by scouts my lord" As knight Told him before handing to the fire again as Jaune Arc just thinking about the situations as how did he come to this and the Scarlet witch as He's been fighting her or a very long time and the dream he had it's was very much an old memory of the deal jaune took a long time ago and he nearly forgotten just about it till now as he get up and watched to the castle's walls that just were going to be breached soon by his soldiers and he's still remembers the first day he met the Scarlet witch and it was then. He remembers the very poem just he wrote then. as then he heard a explosion as he turn towards it and saw her the very Scarlet witch...….the very general of the devil army's in front of him as she's wielding her very sword has she kept through his men like paper as one by one they were slain by her and her very very devil soldiers one by now.

I remember our first meeting perfectly.

Over a field of grass, dyed red by the glowing sun at the horizon and the splattered bloods across the land, a sphere of light flickered to life. It pulsed weakly for a moment, its blue light wavering in the air before somehow finally gaining some strength from it surrounding and started to solidifying.

How could I not?

Slowly, almost hesitantly, the sphere of light began to move through the air, leaving a trail of shimmering light in its wake. It's always twisting and turning, but never rising or falling, the sphere began to pick up speed as an image began to form from its trailing lights.

Like a paintbrush on canvas, the sphere drew a circle in the air. And within that circle was another circle, and third one within the second. Between the borders of the circles were strings of archaic runes, numbering in the hundreds, leisurely revolving within the limited space within the boundary of the circles.

When the sphere at last appeared to have finished its work, it hung in place, motionless for a few moments, before slowly drifting towards the very heart of the design, to the small patch of empty space located in the middle of the smallest circle.

From his hiding place within the growth of trees, a lone figure surveyed the countryside for any sign of his target. Rain drummed the hood of his poncho and beaded the lenses of his binoculars which made looking through them nearly impossible. With a frustrated grunt, he wiped them clean and continued his search. Intel had told him that the second Norma was most likely returning to her home here in the Enderant Union to try and locate her mother. And from what he had read, the reunion was not going to be a pleasant one. But he had bigger problems than whatever heartbreak the Norma was going through. Though he had been given the address of the girl's mother and a map of the area, as it turned out backroad maintenance was fairly low on the Union's priorities. Between damaged road signs, closed bridges, and moved landmarks; he had lost almost half a day before he finally found his bearings.

I'm positive she should be somewhere in this area, he thought. Did I take another wrong turn? Or is she taking another route to avoid being caught? Maybe I missed her while I was trying to find my way. Damn it! What am I going to do now?

Just as he was about to leave, a lone figure appeared in the distance and he zoomed in on the image. A girl, mid to late teens, long red hair done up in twin tails, and an expression on her face so empty she might have been a ghost. There she is, he thought. Looks like her reunion went about as well as expected. Well hopefully that means I won't have to work so hard to convince her to come with me. It was then that he noticed the sirens approaching from the other direction. Turning his view, he saw two police cars speed through the rain and pass by the girl, only to stop before four policemen leapt out and ran back towards her.

"Damn it!" Pocketing his binoculars, he ran behind a nearby tree where his land runner had been parked. The engines revved to life and the vehicle floated off the ground before speeding down the muddy road at top speed. Already, the cops had reached the Norma and were beginning to beat her down. Mana's at full, he checked. Gun's chambered. Only four cops. Should be able to handle this without too much trouble.

In the pouring rain, the four policemen stared down at the renegade Norma they had just captured. One of her eyes had swollen shut from the beating and it looked as if she could barely breath. If it weren't for the fact that they were told to bring her in alive they would have happily put her out of the world's misery.

"Thank god we found her."

"From what I've heard she's already robbed at least one store."

"And that's in addition to what she and that other Norma did to the Rosenblum Princess."

"Come on let's just get this trash off the road and back to where she belongs." Two of them reached down and roughly seized her by the arms, lifting her up and dragging her across the mud when a low roar caught their attention. From down the road, a strange vehicle was racing towards them. It looked like a Mana bike but the engine was too loud. Nor did it seem as if any Mana was radiating from the repulsors. As it reached them, the machine came to a stop and a man in a hooded poncho stepped off.

"Hey there," he said. "What's going on?" The hood obscured his face from view but judging by his voice he was young. Early 20s at most Just continue on your way sir," one officer said. "We've got it under control." The man's head shifted between them to the Norma and when he next spoke, there was a distinct edge to it.

"I don't think so. Four guys beating on a helpless girl half their size is something I can't ignore."

"Sir," another officer said. "This is no girl! She's a Norma. She escaped from incarceration and we're here to return her. Now move along or you'll be charged with obstruction." Despite their warning, the man flexed his shoulder and began to stroll towards them.

"I don't think you understand. We're in the middle of nowhere. You have no idea who I am or what I can do. Now I'd rather not make a mess if I can avoid it but I will if I have to. So throw down your weapons, give me the girl, and I can promise you'll get out of this alive."

"That's far enough!" one cried. Raising his hand, a pyramid shaped barrier of mana formed around the stranger. "I don't know what game you're playing but you're in a lot of trouble mister!" With a grimace, the man brought up his left fist.

"I tried to warn you," he said as the Light of Mana began to envelop his hand.

"What are you..." but the officer was unable to finish his sentence before the man swung his fist into the barrier and shattered it like glass.
