With a loud bang, Batman, whose body strength had increased by more than an order of magnitude, still could not withstand Eric's punch and was violently thrown backward.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Batman's body slammed onto the ground, then rebounded, creating huge cracks in the ground while rolling across it.
If it had been an ordinary attack, he would probably have been dead, but because of the injection of the "improved Super Serum," he could still barely hold on at this moment.
He spat out a mouthful of blood, his right hand, which had taken Eric's punch, was swollen and bruised, and his bones were even fractured.
He couldn't exert any strength at all.
Taking a deep breath, he struggled to his feet. Batman immediately pulled out a Batarang from his utility belt and threw it at Eric.
As he threw the Batarang, he moved quickly towards Eric.
Bang!
As Eric struck the Batarang away, Batman also used his "super speed" to move in front of Eric.
His left hand delivered a straight punch towards Eric's head.
But it was easily caught by Eric.
Seeing that his left hand was ineffective, he immediately used all his strength to raise his almost crippled right arm and struck at Eric.
With a thud of flesh colliding, both of Batman's hands were easily gripped by Eric.
However, the moment he gripped both of his hands, the Batarang, which had been knocked away, silently returned and struck towards Eric.
At this moment, Eric's hands were gripping Batman's arms, temporarily unable to free them to deal with the incoming Batarang.
But he didn't pay any attention to the Batarang either. Heat Vision shot from his eyes, destroying the Batarang, which was carrying powerful explosives.
Amidst the booming explosion, Eric released Batman's hands and backhanded him in the chest.
He knocked Batman to the ground, then caught another Batarang that had flown away but was circling back, and shot it at him.
Boom!
Batman took the full force of the Batarang bomb, and the violent shockwave slammed him against the wall.
He slowly slid down the wall, his armor completely tattered, and blood stained his body.
Leaning against the wall, Batman spat out a mouthful of blood, his eyes dull and lifeless as he looked at Eric.
He wanted to stand up, but neither his spirit nor his body could support him in battle.
He could feel the rapid loss of his life force within him.
The after-effects of the Super Serum were constantly draining his remaining vitality.
"It's over, Batman!"
Eric looked at Batman, who was leaning against the wall and just spitting out blood, and shook his head.
"You are no longer the fighter; you are just a scarred man. You—should make your exit!"
Eric said as he walked over to Batman.
Collapsed building debris was scattered at Eric's feet. As he stepped on the debris, Eric noticed a communicator next to a pile of stones under his foot.
The voice coming from the communicator was that of Batman's butler, Alfred.
"Master Bruce, what's wrong? Can you hear me? Master Bruce!"
Alfred's voice was filled with panic.
Eric bent down, picked up the communicator, and said to Alfred on the other end, "Stop calling Batman! He's dead. Prepare to bury him!"
Alfred on the other end of the communicator was silent for a moment after hearing Eric's voice, then asked Eric, "Who... who are you?"
"Homelander!"
Upon hearing Eric say Homelander's name, Alfred said nothing more.
After a moment of silence on the other end of the communicator, it hung up.
Eric threw the communicator to the ground, looked at Batman, whose life was slowly fading from his eyes, and expressionlessly shot Heat Vision from his eyes.
The Heat Vision struck his chest, penetrating his "Super Skin" and directly reaching his internal organs.
Batman, spewing blood, immediately fell to the ground, gradually losing his life.
The green kryptonite he had been holding in his hand rolled onto the ground.
Looking at the green kryptonite that rolled out of Batman's hand, Eric was stunned.
Was this the weapon Batman had been holding, always ready to use against him?
Why didn't he use it in the end?!
Eric wasn't too surprised that Batman might have discovered the existence that he and Clark feared, which was green kryptonite.
After all, with thorough investigation, clues to such a thing would always be found.
But why did Batman hold the green kryptonite and never use it against him until the very end?
Eric's eyes were filled with doubt.
Just as he was about to walk towards Batman's body, with a bang, a powerful energy beam struck him.
The beam, possessing strong lethality and immense power, seemed like an energy weapon that shouldn't exist in this world. Its generated might even made Eric frown.
Raising his arms, Eric used both arms to block his chest, fending off the impact of the energy beam.
He looked towards the person who had emitted the energy beam and saw that it was a being resembling a cyborg, completely covered in silver metal, attacking Eric.
Based on the opponent's mechanical cyborg attire, Eric quickly recognized his identity.
Cyborg, one of the seven founders of the Justice League, a half-human, half-machine cyborg.
