Rivas was a local high-school bully.
A 17-year-old kid with a good physique and athletic qualities. A person with a bright future, if worked hard, could get into any of the sports colleges he wanted to. In fact, if you look at him for the first time, you might even misjudge him as an adult in his early 20s. He had a blessed physique.
Though rather than using that gifted physique for any of the sports that were present at their school, instead, he focused all of his energy in asserting dominance and making connections with the local gangs around the area. He knew all the thugs, all the druggies and somehow even managed to connect with the mafia that usually spited the local gangsters.
Working hard at it, in time, he made his name synonymous with the local gangsters and thugs, making most of the neighbourhood steer clear of him, especially because of how rash he was. People who knew him began fearing him, fueling his ego even more than his ambitions grew, and so did his dirty deeds.
