Gabe was startled out of his light slumber as Etienne knocked on the window of the car.
Gabe unlocked the door and Etienne stepped in, placing his sword between his legs.
Gabe checked his expensive silver watch and glanced back at Etienne.
"Is this…real? Am I dreaming?" Gabe asked sleepily.
Etienne chuckled, "Were you sleeping that deeply? We're still in the parking lot of the arena. We need to get out of here quickly, people are going to start flooding out soon."
Gabe looked down at his watch again then looked back up, "It's been twenty minutes. Did you really beat them already?"
Etienne grabbed a cloth out of the glove compartment and cleaned the hilt of his sword, "Yup. I wrapped that up pretty nicely. Inez is pretty strong, if she didn't have that deficiency she'd be a big problem. Derrick…was pretty weak. Much weaker than I expected if I'm being honest."
Gabe's eyes widened, and his voice dripped with awe, "And…they were captured? They didn't escape or teleport or…"
