Perseus sat quietly in the back of Helios's Sun Chariot, his gaze fixed straight ahead, his back ramrod straight, trying his best not to scrutinize Helios's chariot, so as to avoid any disrespectful or offensive actions towards the Sun God.
This was Athena's prior blessing to him, and Perseus firmly carried it out, which made Helios quite satisfied with this demigod.
However, what the Sun God didn't know was that for a great Magician like Perseus, not looking didn't mean he couldn't observe. During the time Helios was driving the Sun Chariot, Perseus had already thoroughly analyzed the entire Sun Chariot, even dissecting some fragments of Helios's own authority.
As a modern person from another universe, Ares was quite interested in the Sun God's authority, because if power levels were truly classified according to celestial bodies, then before the Sun, let alone Zeus the King of Gods, even Gaia would only be considered a speck of dust.
Throughout history, many myths have worshipped the Sun God as their supreme deity, such as Ra in Egypt and Ahura Mazda in Persia. Ares also felt that in the face of endless thermonuclear fusion, Zeus's great thunderbolts were nothing.
Unfortunately, after Ares analyzed a portion of the Sun God's authority, he found that Helios only held the title of Sun God, but only commanded the faint light of the celestial body that was the Sun.
In this divine era, the Earth's surface was divided by Gaia into several mutually isolated small worlds, and the skies of these small worlds were also covered by Gaia's power. Looking up at the sky on the current land, one could only see the false sky created by Gaia, and the stars in the sky could not compare to the true celestial bodies in the actual universe.
Therefore, Zeus, whose power was considerably weaker than the Sun's, could freely elevate his favorite figures to the sky as constellations, because the sky was originally fake, and the constellations in the sky only corresponded to the true celestial bodies in the universe, without the power of real constellations.
"Alas, they are still too weak, these guys with no dreams at all." After understanding this situation, Perseus couldn't help but sigh.
"Perseus, are you saying something?"
Helios, who was concentrating on driving the Sun Chariot, heard the demigod hero muttering behind him and immediately asked.
"No, I was saying how magnificent your Sun Chariot is." Perseus replied.
"Of course."
The handsome Sun God, clean-shaven, looked a little smug at his words.
"Although my Sun Chariot is a divine artifact left over from the Titan era, it's no worse than Hephaestus's creations."
The Sun Chariot continued to travel, quickly leaving the land's boundary and entering the sea. From afar, Perseus could see the fiery cloud he had set up to protect the waters of the Invisible Island. He, of course, knew the mechanism of this fiery cloud; it would only indiscriminately attack ships or targets that approached the Invisible Island with malicious intent, and it could not attack objects above the clouds.
Helios's Sun Chariot passed unimpeded above the fiery cloud. Today, he deliberately took a detour, bringing Perseus to a certain point in the center of the fiery cloud, and then stopped the Sun Chariot.
"We've arrived. From here down is the location of the Invisible Island."
Helios pointed below the fiery cloud:
"From now on, I cannot take you any further. I don't want to offend Ares, the God of War; he's an unreasonable madman."
Perseus thanked the Sun God and verbally agreed with Helios's assessment of the God of War, but at the same time, Ares, the God of War in the Underworld, quietly noted Helios down in his little book.
"Then I shall take my leave here, noble Sun God."
Perseus's politeness was very pleasing to Helios, after all, this was a demigod hero who didn't even put Poseidon in his eyes.
The Sun God nodded to him, deliberately parking his Sun Chariot next to a gap in the fiery cloud, which happened to form a downward passage, making it more convenient for Perseus to descend.
Perseus wasted no time. He quickly imbued himself with several Magic spells, protecting himself, and then leaped from the Sun Chariot, plunging into the fiery cloud.
…
"!"
After watching her two sisters follow Ares into the dark world underground, and seeing the slowly closing fissure, Medusa suddenly felt a pang in her heart.
This was a monster's instinctive reaction; something that could threaten her life had quietly arrived.
Without hesitation, Medusa uncorked the bottle of potion Ares had given her in the Blood Temple, then drank the purple liquid in the bottle in one gulp, simultaneously tearing off the blindfold she wore over her eyes.
As soon as the potion entered her body, it transformed into a terrifying heatwave, exploding fiercely, making Medusa's whole body burn, leaving no time to react.
Golden snake scales began to appear on her skin, her entire body grew taller and larger, and her curves became even more breathtaking, but this state did not last long, as her lower body immediately transformed into a thick snake tail, and several pairs of huge wings grew on her back. Her hair turned into snakes, constantly writhing, and her mouth spat out crimson snake tongues, while her gaze burst forth as several purple beams of light. Anything swept by this light, regardless of its previous material, would instantly turn into hard stone.
At this point, the transformation had not stopped. The golden snake scales continued to grow, spreading over Medusa's formerly fair skin, as if to completely devour her. The snake hair growing on her head also began to become longer and thicker, and her mouth twisted like a snake's, able to open easily, enough to swallow large animals.
But when her body's demonization reached this point, Medusa could no longer maintain her sanity and consciousness as a goddess. Her mind sank into the abyss of thought, and after silently lowering her head for a few seconds, she suddenly let out a terrifying roar to the sky.
A dreadful magical power erupted from her body, and in an instant, the entire Invisible Island was enveloped by her magic. All animals living on the island and all plants growing there instantly turned into bizarre rubble.
At this moment, Medusa, the goddess among the Gorgon Sisters, died, and the true monster, Gorgon, the Queen of Beasts, finally fully manifested on this island.
