The morning light slipped through the thin curtains again, warm and unhurried. Outside, the city was waking slowly. The distant hum of traffic, the chirping of birds from the nearby park, and the faint smell of fresh bread drifting from the bakery down the street—the ordinary world was back.
Seo Jin stretched languidly, his back pressing into the mattress, the softness of the sheets grounding him in ways he hadn't known he could feel. Li Ran, sprawled beside him in his usual casual slouch, turned lazily, letting his arm drape over Seo Jin's waist.
"Morning," Li Ran murmured, voice rough with sleep.
