As the Arrowheads and Stripes Flag waved proudly above the sleeping city, the Ghost of Ottawa walked the streets of the downtown area. The birds were chirping, the sun had just crested over the building tops, and 1430 WCMY Radio had just began their morning broadcast. However, this would become the last morning of peace that Greater Ottawa would know for a long while.
Sometime around eight-in-the-morning, hooded figures began gathering in Washington Park. Citizens watched as they began chanting a language they couldn't understand. Once word of this reached the Ghost, he immediately rushed to Washington Park. When the hooded figures spotted him, two of them rushed at him with strange daggers drawn. The Ghost threw the first person to the floor and grappled with the second.
"What... The hell are you doing here?" Asked the Ghost, voice strained from holding the dagger away from his body. The figure didn't respond, rather a dark smirk formed on his face as the whole city began to glow blue. Upon seeing their success, the other hooded figures finished their chanting and joined their comrades in attacking the Ghost. However, their leader turned his wicked gaze upon the sizable crowd that had been watching this whole time. As the Ghost took out another hooded figure, he saw the leader marching toward the crowd. A chill ran down his spin as he knew the crowd stood no chance against these guys. They were strong and they were well coordinated.
Knowing this, the Ghost of Ottawa raced to intercept the hooded figure as the hooded figure approached a family that had been out for a stroll in the park when all of this had transpired. As the father of the family stepped forward to protect his loved ones, the Ghost grabbed the hooded figure by the waist and threw him to the ground. Without hesitation, the Ghost landed several hard kicked with his granpda's red leather, steel toe boots to the figure's face.
"Run! Get out of here!" Yelled the Ghost as he tackled the hooded figure back to the ground. As the family made their escape, the ground began to tremble violently across Greater Ottawa. As the Ghost of Ottawa and the hooded figures looked up, the sky became red with swirling purple vortexes. These vortexes began raining hordes of undead creatures down into the streets of Greater Ottawa. The Ghost of Ottawa locked in, this was an enemy attack like he'd never seen before. His punches landed harder, he became more aggressive, and his glare became piercing as decided he wasn't taking any prisoners.
The Ghost drove his KBar into the hooded leader's jugular and dropped him instantly. The others all to beat up to move weren't a threat to the Ghost. Therefore he began rushing toward the sound of screams and fighting. Just up the street, many of Greater Ottawa's citizens were trapped by a horde of the undead. They were getting herded into a kill circle when the Ghost of Ottawa leapt over them and landed in with his people to help defend them. "Keep the elderly and children in the center! You MUST FIGHT!" Screamed the Ghost as the owner of Home Hardware tossed him a sledgehammer. The Ghost let out his warcry as he slammed sledgehammer into the first undead's head.
For the first time, the citizens of Greater Ottawa got to see their leader in a full rage. The school children that had all been taught his story, now had a front row seat to just how freed them... and it wasn't through the power of friendship. He freed them and established Greater Ottawa with a kind of violence that made even the undead take a step back. The Ghost was a force to be reckoned with as he turned zombies and skeletons into nothing more than piles of debris. He tore his own muscle, cracked his bones, but kept fighting. That kind of rage hadn't been seen since his darkest days, but for this... threatening the lives of his people, attempting to kill them all... this kind of rage was to be expected.
