Chapter130:Visions
Ank was surprised after hearing Celestia explain about her vision, because even though he had already experienced many strange and unexplainable situations since his awakening.
There was something different about this vision, as if what she saw was not just a simple vision but something connected to him on a level he himself could not yet understand.
He felt that visions were very important to him.
"Celestia… can this vision still come to your mind?" Ank asked slowly, lowering his voice because he did not want to wake Maya and Freya who were sleeping peacefully beside him.
He was happy seeing maya and freya like this.Sleeping peacefully without any worries.
But Celestia did not reply.
She did not even move.
She continued to hug him as if his presence alone was enough for her, as if she had no need to answer anything, and that silence made Ank even more uncomfortable because he did not know how to react in a situation like this.
Celestia was tightening herself against Ank refusing to let Ank remove herself from him.
Ank felt more awkward, and it was increasing its passing seconds, because this was something completely unfamiliar to him, as he could understand Maya's behavior and even Freya's actions to some extent, since their emotions followed a pattern he could recognize.
But Celestia was different, because the only connection he remembered having with her was through the quests related to her, and yet now she was clinging to him like this, speaking about visions and refusing to let go, which made everything even more confusing.
"What the heck is happening…" Ank thought, his mind already burdened with countless problems.
And now this had become one more complication that he did not know how to deal with, adding to the growing list of things he needed to understand and solve but could not.
"Celestia…" he called again, even more softly this time, trying to get some kind of response, because he genuinely wanted to know what she had seen and if it would affect him in future or not before he could try again, something unexpected happened.
Her grip loosened slightly.
And then she fell asleep.
Still holding him.
Ank froze for a moment, completely caught off guard by this sudden shift, because he had been expecting an answer, or at least some explanation, but instead he was left with silence, and now with a sleeping girl who refused to let go of him.
"Now what do I do…" he thought helplessly, looking at her resting peacefully against him, her breathing calm as if nothing had happened.
He tried to move carefully, slowly attempting to remove her arms from around him without waking her, but the moment he tried, she tightened her grip again, as if even in her sleep she could feel him trying to leave, and she refused to allow it.
Ank let out a silent sigh, because he knew that he could easily remove her if he used force, even in his current state, but he stopped himself at the exact moment he heard her murmur while sleeping.
"I would not want to leave you…"
Her voice was faint, almost inaudible, but those words struck him deeply, because at that exact moment a memory surfaced in his mind, unclear and incomplete, yet powerful enough to shake him.
A small figure.
A little girl.
Standing in front of him.
Saying the same words.
"I would not want to leave you…"
Ank's entire body froze as that image flashed through his mind, and even though he could not see her face clearly, even though he could not remember who she was, the feeling attached to that memory was strong enough to make his chest tighten.
And then.
A tear formed in his eyes.
He did not understand why.
He did not understand what he was feeling.
But remembering that girl made him want to cry.
"Why…" he thought, but there was no answer, only a strange emptiness mixed with an unfamiliar warmth that he could not explain.
At that moment, he lost the will to push Celestia away, because something inside him told him that doing this was wrong , even if he did not know why.
"Alright…" he thought quietly, accepting the situation.
"It was a mistake using that forbidden spell…"
"Losing my memory is more troublesome than I thought…"
He paused.
"But… if I think about what would have happened to Maya…"
His expression softened slightly.
"There are no regrets."
With that thought, he stopped resisting completely, allowing his body to relax as he slowly closed his eyes, his breathing becoming steady as exhaustion finally took over.
And soon he fell asleep.
Deeply
Just like Celestia.
Freya was lying on his left side, holding his left hand gently as if even in her sleep she did not want to lose contact with him, while Maya was on his right side, holding his right hand with a slightly tighter grip that reflected her stubborn nature even while unconscious, and Celestia rested on his chest, her face calm as if she had finally found peace.
Ank did not feel bothered anymore.
Not by their presence.
Not by their closeness.
Because at this moment, his mind had already drifted away into sleep.
Time passed quietly, and the room remained silent until slowly, without making any noise, the door opened and Seraphina stepped inside, her gaze immediately falling on the scene.
She watched them.
A small smile appeared on her face.
But behind that smile, there was pain, because she wanted to join them, she wanted to sleep like them, sit beside him, hold his hand, or even just stay close like the others, but she did not move because something held her back.
Her pride.
And her love for Freya.
She clenched her hand slightly, forcing herself to remain where she stood as she whispered softly, "Ank I do not know what kind of magic you used on me, not just me but all of us even Celestia could not escape from you…"
Her gaze lingered on him for a moment longer before she continued in a softer tone, "Rest Ank after this, we will talk. I have many questions and you will have to answer all of them."
She turned slowly and walked toward the door, but before leaving, she looked back one last time, her eyes filled with doubt and curiosity, because she could not understand how someone with such a status could possess such power, and that small doubt continued to trouble her mind.
Then she left.
Ank did not notice anything.
He did not feel her presence.
He did not hear her voice.
Because he was already in a deep sleep, his body was still adapting to the power that was slowly unsealing within him, gathering energy, stabilizing itself yet Ank was still unaware of the storm that was waiting for him.
