Chapter 128: The Appearance of Da Ming
Ning Rongrong looked at Flander with an expression of anger and, after a long while, gritted her teeth and said,
"Alright, alright, such a great Shrek Academy, my grandpa Sword and Grandpa Bone will come and talk to you."
Dai Mubai, who had been looking smug, suddenly changed his expression, and Flander also had a dark look as he glanced at the two difficult little girls, thinking to himself whether he should make sure they stayed here forever.
Tang San, standing beside them, once again placed his hands on the soul tool. Earlier, he was worried about trouble coming from their sect. But now, if the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect was coming, there was no need to hold back anymore. He could eliminate these two women who had a death wish and then leave in silence, quietly developing. It was just a shame he wouldn't be able to participate in the Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament.
Just as Flander and the others were still debating, a figure suddenly appeared behind Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong.
"You say your academy is the boss? I don't think so!"
Hearing that familiar voice, both girls turned around in surprise.
"Da Ming?"
"Da Ming, someone is bullying Sister Xiao Wu. Come quickly and help me teach them a lesson."
Flander, seeing the man in the snake robe, cursed in his heart, realizing things were going badly. He quickly bowed respectfully.
"Sir, you are from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, right? We didn't mean to offend. We just want to maintain the authority of the academy."
Da Ming smiled at the two girls and, after hearing Flander's words, sneered.
"Authority? Let me show you what real authority is."
With that, a terrifying aura pressed down on Flander.
Flander groaned, and a trace of blood dripped from the corner of his mouth.
"Title Douluo?"
"Besides Sword and Bone, there are other Title Douluo in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect?"
Flander had originally planned to reason with them, but seeing the situation, he immediately changed to a more humble attitude.
"Your Excellency, we wouldn't dare challenge you. We have no authority in front of you."
Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu looked at Flander's second expression with disdain, realizing how much he was afraid of power.
"Oh? You don't want authority anymore?"
"No, no, we don't!"
Seeing that they had backed down, Da Ming didn't plan to speak with him any longer. Instead, he cast a grim look at Tang San.
"Kid, you tried to kill them twice, right?"
"Shit!"
Yu Xiaogang, seeing that Da Ming was focusing on his precious disciple, quickly climbed to his feet. Indeed, under Da Ming's pressure, the master had already collapsed to the ground.
"Sir, could we talk for a moment?"
"Spit it out quickly, I'm not here to chat. Tell that little brat to come out front."
Seeing that Da Ming wasn't going to give him face, Yu Xiaogang thought for a moment and then decided to reveal his trump card in front of everyone.
"This child's father is Tang Hao, the youngest Title Douluo on the continent. Please don't make a mistake."
The Shrek students, who were unaware of this, immediately looked at Tang San with shock and a hint of envy.
Da Ming, however, looked at Yu Xiaogang with a mocking smile, thinking that this man might be insane—threatening him with a dead man?
"Tang Hao? So what? If he comes, I'll beat him up along with you. I'll say it again—tell the kid behind you to come out. What's the matter? You can sneak attack, but you can't admit it?"
Knowing that Ning Bei had his plans, Da Ming wasn't going to reveal that Tang Hao was already out of the picture. His target was now Tang San, the one who had murderous intent toward Xiao Wu.
Yu Xiaogang, looking at Da Ming, was stunned. "You really want to hurt the son of Tang Hao? Do you know who Tang Hao is? He's the guy who could kill even the Pope Qian Xunji. You're going to mess with his son?"
Seeing that Yu Xiaogang and Flander were about to speak again, Da Ming lost his patience. With a snap of his fingers, he sent the two flying and gathered lightning in his hands, preparing to deliver a Heavenly Extermination Thunder to Tang San.
Tang San was crushed under the oppressive aura of a Title Douluo and could barely move. His mind was full of fury.
"Damned bastard, you have a huge death wish. If I don't die, I'll come after you for your life."
Just as Da Ming was about to attack, a terrifying presence that only he could perceive locked onto him from the heavens above.
Seeing this, Da Ming quickly withdrew his lightning, deep in thought as he looked at the trembling Tang San.
"No wonder Ning Bei only dares to act secretly, with a god behind this kid. It seems I need to be careful."
Seeing that Da Ming had withdrawn his aura, Flander, struggling to get up, was a bit confused. He thought Da Ming was still wary of Tang Hao's power.
"Alright, let the younger ones handle their own matters. Rongrong, Xiao Wu, let's go."
Xiao Wu was still a bit confused about why Da Ming let them go, but before she could ask anything, Ning Rongrong grabbed her arm, and she immediately saw her friends signaling to her, swallowing her words.
Ning Rongrong, seeing that today's matters had ended, hurried to Zhu Zhuqing's side and, pulling her hand, signaled Da Ming and Xiao Wu to walk outside the academy with her.
Only the Shrek students were left with gloomy expressions.
After a while, Flander, clutching his chest, shakily made his way to the wall a hundred meters away. He sighed deeply before pulling Yu Xiaogang out from between the cracks in the wall. The master had already passed out.
Today had been a huge loss. A few students had escaped, and he had gotten injured, probably not recovering for ten days. Not to mention, the master's cultivation was even lower—when he would wake up was uncertain.
...
On the return carriage, Xiao Wu finally voiced the confusion she had been holding in.
"Da Ming, why didn't you make a move? Those guys should have been no match for you."
Before Da Ming could speak, Ning Rongrong looked at Xiao Wu, clearly anxious.
"Why are you asking such a stupid question? Of course, he couldn't attack them. Otherwise, Da Ming would have smashed them to pieces already."
Da Ming nodded, agreeing with Ning Rongrong's point.
"Why not?"
"That kid has a god behind him. It's not something I can mess with."
"Ah?"
Xiao Wu was filled with questions. That sneaky old man was actually chosen by a god? What kind of god would make such a choice? An evil god?
Then she turned to Ning Rongrong with more questions.
"Rongrong, how did you figure this out? You're even worse than me. I didn't realize it."
Ning Rongrong rolled her eyes at her friend, clearly exasperated. "You're the one who's bad. Your whole family's bad. Can't you speak properly?"
"When I was little, I would always pester my brother to tell me bedtime stories. One of those stories was about Tang San's dad, and it seemed like he had some connection to the Shura God."
"Ah? Why didn't I hear Big Brother Ning Bei talk about that?"
"Hmm? It's simple. When I was little, I would always make my brother put me to bed. You could climb into my brother's bed too, and maybe he told you stories about the god king."
"Ah!"
Xiao Wu's face instantly turned red, and her hands instinctively reached around Ning Rongrong's waist.
"Haha, don't do that! I'm sorry!"
Laughter echoed through the carriage, and Zhu Zhuqing quietly listened to their conversation. While she felt a little surprised, there was also a hint of envy.
Other people's brothers would care for their sisters and tell them bedtime stories to help them sleep. As for her sister... well, that was a story best left untold.
Seeing the little cat's expression grow more and more forlorn, Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu stopped their playful banter.
"Zhuqing, don't worry. Join the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect with us. You won't be able to stay in the Star Luo Empire anyway."
The little cat's expression shifted, her eyes widening.
"Wouldn't that trouble you?"
Ning Rongrong quickly waved her hand, reassuring her.
"There are only a few Title Douluo in the Star Luo Empire. Do you think they'd bother coming all the way to the Heaven Dou Empire to cause trouble for the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect just because of you?"
"That's true."
Zhu Zhuqing shook her head, indicating she didn't have such great importance.
"Even if all the Title Douluo of the Star Luo Empire came, we'd be fine. Our Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect has more Title Douluo than they do."
The little cat glanced at Da Ming but didn't argue with Ning Rongrong's words. Still, there was a lingering concern in her heart.
"So why would your family help an outsider like me?"
