Chapter 38 - 564. Do You Know Which Level 13 Powerhouse It Is?

A white-haired man was flying like lightning.

Suddenly, he stopped, looked forward, and a slight ripple appeared in his calm eyes. He abruptly reached out his hand. His palm seemed to dip into a surface of water, strangely disappearing into the air. When he pulled it back, his hand was holding something.

A huge eyeball, spinning round and round. This eyeball was covered with tiny purple electric arcs, and in just an instant, it turned into charcoal in the man's hand and scattered with the wind.

The white-haired man looked at his empty palm, where there was a scorched spot. A strange light gleamed in his eyes, and he subconsciously wanted to connect to his personal communicator. After thinking for a moment, he abandoned the idea.

"There are only a few Level 13 powerhouses in the base, and not a single one has comprehended the Thunder Law... Who could it be?" The white-haired man murmured softly.

His figure flickered, and in the next instant, he appeared tens of thousands of miles away.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Violent explosions erupted one after another. This space had completely transformed into an ocean of lightning. Everywhere, rampaging lightning, like dragons, like snakes, like trees, like nets... Intertwining and destroying everything.

The void was shattered, like a mirror completely broken by someone. Countless Alien Beasts wailed and died in this lightning ocean, turning into dust. The remaining human martial artists on the battlefield were terrified and desperate, scurrying around like headless flies.

But after many of them touched the lightning and were shattered and annihilated, these people finally learned their lesson and began to discard their previous grudges, whether they had surrendered or not, grouping together to barely hold on in the lightning ocean, barely surviving.

Everyone was looking at a spot above their heads. The void there had completely turned into chaos. Neither Lu Sheng nor the Level 13 General-level Alien Beast could be seen anymore. They could only see the brilliant lightning, the waves of flames emanating in ripples, and the occasional screams belonging to the Level 13 General-level Alien Beast.

Everyone's faces were pale, including the two guides.

They huddled together like ants, their martial bodies, forged over thousands of years and infused with Law Power, trembling. Under such terrifying world-destroying power, these individuals, who came from different Star Regions and were overlords there, now seemed to have collectively traveled back to their weakest period. Helplessness, fear, despair... enveloped them, threatening to swallow them at any moment.

"What... what happened?" murmured A martial artist, terrified like a frightened beast, not knowing from whom he was seeking an answer.

A muffled voice slowly answered beside him.

"It's a Law... it's a Law Power. And it's extremely powerful one."

That person, in a daze, looked up at where the lightning raged.

"But why does such powerful Law Power exist in... exist in the hands of someone whose realm is clearly only Level 11?"

Others who knew of Law Powers also wanted to ask the same question. Unfortunately, no one could answer this question. Everything that had happened to Lu Sheng so far was too unbelievable. He was like a blazing comet that suddenly streaked across half the sky, smashing their common sense about martial arts into pieces with an extremely crude and unreasonable attitude.

This group of people gathered together, like a group who had survived a shipwreck and climbed onto the same deck. They looked around blankly on the turbulent sea, not knowing if the next wave would swallow them all.

Saya was on this deck. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, these surviving martial artists surrounded him, and even when taking turns to resist the raging lightning, they never let him go to the front.

One of the two Guides even kindly gave him a stone of unknown material. Using this stone, the severely injured and dying Tang Dun actually showed signs of improvement. Beneath his remaining stone head, small stone particles began to grow.

Saya held Tang Dun's head, staring blankly at the most dazzling and bright spot of lightning, his expression dazed. He had been in this state for a long time, never fully recovering.

Saya had been pampered since childhood, always well-protected even after major changes, and he still retained the mindset of a spoiled young master. For him, this experience of secretly running away to enlist in the Interdimensional Battlefield... Undoubtedly, it was a hundred, even ten thousand times more fantastical than all his previous hundreds of years of experience combined.

"I called a man who wields a Law Power and can forcefully beat down a Level 13 General-level Alien Beast... my brother?"

Saya was in a mess, completely at a loss.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by a loud bang, the lightning on the Interdimensional Battlefield surged. Countless bolts of lightning and fire erupted. Like a torrential flood, they surged wildly in all directions. The nearest Alien Beasts bore the brunt, swallowed by the lightning and disappearing without a trace before they could even make a sound.

The defensive formation formed by numerous human martial artists was also about to be submerged by a surging tide of lightning. Everyone's faces were pale, filled with deep despair. And at this moment, a gray-white long saber descended from the sky, instantly cutting open the lightning surge and blocking those destructive energies from outside.

A figure suddenly appeared before everyone. Black clothes, white hair, and in his hand, a strange long saber shaped like a spine. Everyone stared blankly at this person for a moment, and two voices quickly rose from the crowd.

"Are you... Lord Hai Ji Dao?!"

The white-haired man slowly turned, revealing an indifferent and calm face. His pupils were also bone-like gray-white, and his gaze fell on the two guides as he spoke faintly, "Was it your distress signal?"

"Yes, it was us."

At this moment, the guides were like lost people at sea seeing a shining lighthouse, both excited and overjoyed beyond measure.

"It's good that you've arrived, Lord..."

"Thanks to your timely arrival, Lord."

The rest of the surviving human martial artists also became excited, their faces beaming with the joy of surviving a catastrophe. Even those "traitors" who had once sided with the Alien Beasts. For them, even facing a military court in the Star Region was far better than dying now. It's better to live a bad life than to die well, after all.

They had all painstakingly cultivated for thousands of years to reach the Level 12 height; who would want to die in vain like this?

After confirming his identity with the two guides, the white-haired man withdrew his gaze and focused on the raging lightning sea before him. The guides quickly walked to his side and heard him ask, "Do you know which Level 13 powerhouse is fighting the General-level Alien Beast?"

The guides froze, looking at each other. They opened their mouths, momentarily unsure how to answer.

The white-haired man asked again, "What? You don't know him either? Is it a Level 13 powerhouse from our human side?"

"Yes..."

The two exchanged glances, then nodded with complex expressions, "He should be from the human side."

Lu Sheng... He should be considered human, right?

The white-haired man frowned slightly upon hearing their uncertain reply. Just as he was about to ask a few more questions, the previously surging and raging lightning sea suddenly stopped its momentum and began to retract towards the center. It was then that everyone could finally see the scene beneath the lightning sea.

The Alien Beasts that had been swallowed by the lightning sea had completely disappeared. Only large and small Alien Beast core crystals remained. All the shrinking lightning converged towards the center. The lightning there became increasingly dazzling. It grew brighter and brighter.

The guides and the others couldn't look directly with their naked eyes, and eventually, even the white-haired man had to squint.

A purple sun seemed to appear in the dark, sunless sky.
