Then: "The eastern expansion supply chain — will I keep managing that?"
"That will fold into the general deputy portfolio," Kelvin said.
"It needs daily attention," Sel said. "The eastern section coordinator doesn't verify incoming supply against the allocated quantities. Someone has to do that manually."
"You've been doing it manually," Kelvin said.
"Yes," Sel said. "Because the alternative is the section running short on materials and I can see that in the morning inventory if I check before the sixth bell."
A pause.
"I'll add it to the handoff documentation," Kelvin said.
"I can write the documentation," Sel said. "I've been tracking it for three months. I know every variable."
Satou kept walking.
He was smiling.
