The convoy of black SUVs wound its way up the mountain road, leaving the smog and the noise of the city far behind. As we climbed higher, the air grew cool, carrying the scent of pine and damp earth.
When the Jade Springs Resort finally came into view, nestled in a valley of misty peaks, I understood why there was a six-month waiting list.
It was absolutely beautiful.
Traditional wooden architecture blended seamlessly with modern glass, waterfalls cascaded into steaming natural pools, and true to Lin Jun's word, there were fields of sunflowers swaying in the gentle mountain breeze.
This was very similar to the resort we used for the debut but had the same regal air.
"It's... incredible," Qiao Mei breathed from the seat beside me as we pulled up to the main reception.
I smiled, squeezing Yichen's hand. "It really is."
