Chapter 119 - Yet Another Little Fanboy, Flash

The message came from someone he knew very well… yet also felt somewhat unfamiliar.

That's right—this person was his loyal fan, Flash.

How strange. Why did it feel like every world's Flash was a die-hard Spider-Man fan?

What kind of bizarre bond existed between Flash and Spider-Man across different universes?

Different worlds' Spider-Men had wildly different relationships with the female characters—so why was there always this faint smell of anxious tension in the air?

Peter scratched Spider-Man '94's head, unable to figure it out.

Of course, in this world, Flash was actually called Flas, the pronunciation just slightly different.

The difference was small, but Peter was certain that the big, muscular guy in front of him—brown buzzcut, dressed like a sporty jock—was definitely Flash.

As for proof?

Besides the highly suggestive name, his attitude just now explained everything.

Flas walked up and shoved Peter, saying irritably, "I want to know why your boss is calling those frauds 'Spider-Man's Sinister Six.'"

Peter didn't take offense at Flas's rude push. His attention was instantly caught by what he said."Flas, what did you say? 'Spider-Man's Sinister Six'?"

"J. Jonah Jameson—he can't fool me!" Flas said heatedly, waving his arms. He was clearly furious. "Spider-Man is a hero! He's not some criminal mastermind! This is a setup!"

Peter felt he finally found a clue to what he'd been worrying about."What are you talking about? Flas, sorry, I don't really get what you mean. Can you explain it more clearly?"

Flas froze for a moment, as if surprised that the always-conflicting Peter Parker was suddenly speaking to him so politely.

But he quickly snapped back to reality, remembering the important part. He pulled out his phone, tapped a few times, then turned the screen toward Peter."Don't tell me you slept through the last twenty-four hours?"

Peter's eyes were instantly drawn to the video on the screen:

The Rhino lifted a car and slammed it around wildly in the street. After he finished smashing, Spider-Man descended from above—then led the Rhino away before the police arrived.

In the background, people screamed in panic as chaos erupted across the street.

The narration was J. Jonah Jameson's voice:

"We can clearly see this act of violence! As I've been warning you all along—Spider-Man is leading a criminal gang: the Sinister Six!"

Peter's expression darkened.

So this was exactly what he'd been afraid of!

That "Spider-Man" was clearly an impostor—undoubtedly the Chameleon.

And they had only two goals:

First, smear Spider-Man's reputation.

Second, force the real Spider-Man to appear. If the real one stayed hidden, the slander would only pile up higher and higher.

And of course, they must have already prepared a trap—just waiting for Spider-Man to walk into it.

A trap laid out in the open.

And the key issue—he had no choice but to jump into it.

Whether to clear his name or fulfill Spider-Man's responsibility, there was no way he could ignore it after learning all this.

And that—exactly—was their goal.

Peter searched through the memories again and realized that this world's Spider-Man truly operated alone.

His only two friends who could be considered allies or fighters—Dr. Connors had already turned back into a human, and Kraven the Hunter had returned to his homeland after regaining clarity.

Not a single helper left.

Well… except Peter himself.

The good news was that Peter felt his arrival seemed to be suppressing the degeneration of Spider-Man '94's powers, giving him more time to deal with things calmly.

Peter decided that since Spider-Man '94 couldn't take action…then he would do it himself!

"The Sinister Six? I'll send you demons straight back to hell—consider that a proper name for you!"

Thinking this, Peter turned and boldly wrapped his arms around Felicia, speaking softly:

"I'm really sorry, Felicia. I suddenly remembered that Aunt May needs my help tonight, so I can't go with you. I hope you'll give me a chance to make it up to you another day… okay?"

Felicia looked up at him, pouting with mild displeasure."Peter, how can you go back on your word?"

Peter kissed her cheek. "I'm truly sorry, Felicia."

"Alright, alright. We'll go next time. But remember—you owe me a date!" Felicia tapped his chest lightly and kissed the corner of his mouth. "You're a gentleman, Peter. I'm attracted to you. Now go."

With that, she gave Peter a gentle push, slipping out of his arms.

"Heh-heh." Peter grinned foolishly, waved, and hurried off.

Flas: ???Did I just come here to eat dog food?!

"Um… Felicia, maybe we could—" Flas attempted to cut in.

"No, Flas. You should go find someone to vent your anger to instead."Felicia turned away briskly and left.

On the other side, Peter returned to school, put his books in the locker, found an empty spot, changed into his suit, grabbed a few cartridges of web fluid, and set out.

Following his spider-sense, he quickly located his target.

The Rhino!

Peter observed him from the air from a distance.

This was technically Peter's first direct encounter with the Rhino, but thanks to Spider-Man '94's memories, he quickly recalled the Rhino's details.

The Rhino had undergone a chemical-radiation experiment that fused a powerful polymer layer onto his body. Radiation plus chemicals had made him extremely strong—able to lift up to around 75 tons, surpassing Spider-Man's strength in his normal state.

The polymer armor made him nearly invulnerable—able to withstand physical attacks, handgun fire, machine guns, rocket launchers, and even explosions equivalent to one ton of TNT without being killed.

His armor wouldn't crack or melt between –50 and 1000 degrees Celsius.

Mounted on his armor were two high-strength steel blades shaped like rhino horns, capable of easily piercing 2-inch (0.05m) thick steel plates.

This compensated somewhat for his lack of offensive precision.

In short, the Rhino was essentially a heavy tank warrior combining strength, durability, and destructive power.

Previously, Spider-Man '94 had only been able to defeat him while bonded with the symbiote.

Right now, the Rhino was rampaging through the streets.

He found an armored cash truck, charged straight into it, and tore open the steel hull with the rhino horn, revealing bags of money inside.

As for the police escorting the truck—they had fled the moment he appeared.

Their weapons were useless against him.

Peter didn't rush in.He observed his surroundings carefully. His spider-sense was telling him—

The Rhino wasn't the only one here.
