"Hmph!" Spider-Man 2099 snorted coldly, turning to Ben Reilly. "I summoned you here to work, not to wallow in self-pity!"
"Ugh! You scold me, you look down on me! I really am a collection of tragedies!" Ben Reilly wailed, a giant "loser" written all over him.
"Someone, send this guy to Ezekiel's therapy room!" Spider-Man 2099 suppressed his anger, using his watch to have Lena call someone over.
After a moment, the Spider-Car that they had seen not long ago arrived with a few Spider-Men. They lifted Ben Reilly onto the Spider-Car and drove away in a certain direction.
After this short farce ended, they continued forward, arriving at another area of the hall.
The scene here was very different from before.
Here, Peter saw many creatures trapped in things that looked like blocks of yellow crystal.
"These are temporal cages. These are extradimensional beings that appeared in the wrong spacetime due to temporal disturbances. After we find them, they are sent here, queuing up to be sent back to their own spacetime," Super Spider-Man B explained.
Peter looked around, seeing quite a few "familiar faces".
It wasn't that he actually knew them, but he saw character elements from many "old friends" in them.
For example, a burly guy with a fur coat, who was obviously Kraven the Hunter from some world.
Then there were several others: one with a fishbowl on his head, one with wings on his back, one with a scorpion tail, and one with a rhino horn on his head... Good heavens, it was a "Spider-Man sidekick" variety pack.
It was clear that these guys were probably the "destined supporting characters" in every Spider-Man story – not necessarily villains. Like in Super Spider-Man's world, Vulture and Green Goblin were good guys.
Peter suddenly thought of Octopus Lady. After searching carefully, he asked, "Have you seen an Octopus Lady? Uh, a female version of Doctor Octopus. Her name is Liv, Olivia Liv Octavius; she's from the same world as me and Miles."
"Octopus Lady? A strange name, but not bad," Lena's small figure jumped onto Peter's shoulder, guiding him to the side. "We sent off a few Doctor Octopuses or Octopus Ladies earlier, but none to Universe 1610. The rest are here."
Spider-Man 2099 stopped, not stopping them, clearly condoning this behavior.
Following Lena, Peter arrived in a certain area.
Lena introduced, "These are Doctor Octaviuses who haven't confirmed their original universes yet, or are still waiting for the return program. You can see if there's one you're looking for."
Peter took a look.
Here, three female versions of Doctor Octavius were being held.
One had a head full of snake hair, like the legendary Medusa. The "octopus tentacles" behind her were biological tentacles, like an octopus, but the ends were several fierce cobra heads.

The second one was a large octopus, standing on two feet, with three other pairs of feet acting as her hands.
The reason it was called "her" was because this one's appearance was somewhat human-like, and she was wearing a cover-up that human women wear, and her… well, it was a bit eye-searing.
The third was a robot made entirely of metal.
"Are you sure this one's a woman too?" Peter asked, looking at Lena.
Lena nodded, "She introduced herself. She approached us on her own."
Then she briefly recounted the story of this mechanical Octopus Lady.
In a certain universe, Doctor Octavius conducted an experiment on an artificial sun, but an accident occurred during the experiment, leading to the death of his wife.
Grief over the loss of his wife and self-blame for his beloved one's death drove Doctor Octavius to abandon his original nuclear physics experiments and turn to biomechanics.
Through his relentless efforts, he transferred his wife's consciousness into a mechanical body he had prepared for himself and successfully revived his wife, Mrs. Octavius!
Thus, Mrs. Octavius became the Octopus Lady of that universe.
After being unexpectedly brought to another universe, she went to that universe's Spider-Man and then contacted the Spider-Man League through him.
As for why she took the initiative to contact the Spider-Man League, of course, it was because she wanted to go back to her own universe as soon as possible to be with her husband!
A Gorgon version of Octopus Lady, an octopus-man version of Octopus Lady, and a mechanical-man version of Octopus Lady.
Unfortunately, none of them were the one Peter was looking for.
"Does the Octopus Lady you're looking for have any characteristics? Why are you looking for her?" asked Super Spider-Man B.
Amazing Spider-Man B was puzzled, "You mean Liv? What happened to Liv? Isn't she in her original universe?"
Miles explained, "She really isn't. I haven't seen her for a whole year. At that time, when the super particle collider exploded, she seemed to..."
Speaking of this, Miles hesitated.

"Wow!" Peter and Miles exclaimed in unison.
Spider-Man 2099 coughed lightly, "We've seen enough. I think we should get down to business. Lena, do you have the calculation results about him?"
"I do. Please, follow me."
