(Sasori and Deidara's POV)
-Hey, Sasori no Danna! (Master Sasori!) Let's stay in this city a little longer!- Deidara said excitedly, arriving at the meeting point and looking at the "gravely hunchbacked" Sasori, or more precisely, his puppet: Hiruko.
Hiruko's eyes fixed on Deidara. Sasori didn't even need to show his impatience with the boy, the puppet had been made with a constant look of "irritation". Sometimes Sasori thought he had foreseen the trouble of taking Deidara around, which is why he made Hiruko's face so irritated.
-Deidara, shut up, let's go.- Sasori said angrily.
-Hey! Wait! A noble is getting married today, I heard they're going to set off fireworks! The most explosive ones! I want to see! Hn!- Deidara didn't move an inch, frozen to the ground with a look that showed he refused to leave.
Sasori's irritation grew rapidly, even more so because Deidara's "art" contrasted sharply with his own. He couldn't see beauty in something so ephemeral, for him, art was something that endures! Something beautiful that lasts forever! That is art! Beautiful eternity!
Hiruko's body turned slightly, glancing sideways at Deidara. Sasori could see that stubbornness again, whenever Deidara acted like this, he could be beaten to death, but he wouldn't change his mind.
Like that time he decided to blow up a village after a child called his clay bird "ugly", Sasori almost laughed at the time, but Deidara didn't, and the whole village paid for the child's words.
Not that Sasori cared, even if someone called his puppet ugly, he wouldn't be so drastic. At most, he'd poison the boy to death. That's it, Deidara is truly very extreme.
In any case, Sasori knew that arguing with the idiot would be pointless. He considered leaving alone, it wasn't the first time he'd done this, but Pain had already warned him, he didn't want his puppets destroyed because of a clown's whim.
The urge to poison Deidara to death returned to Sasori. He was unhappy with Kakuzu for a moment, if it weren't for him setting a precedent and doing this so many times, the leader wouldn't have been so clear about his warnings against attacking his partners.
If Deidara died, at the very least Pain would teach him a harsh lesson, having several of his puppets destroyed. Deidara's life wasn't worth so many puppets, so he could only resign himself to it.
-One night!- He made clear.
-Hey! Sasori no Danna, you'll see how beautiful the explosions are, I can even help a little, I can do the ending theme, how about blowing up the whole wedding? It would be a great kindness on my part, I could immortalize them in that moment! How envious! Hn!
Sasori almost laughed at Deidara's words. - "That brat really has a screw loose." - He thought.
While the pair of artists were arguing, not far away, the figure of a hissing white snake could be seen in a tree, looking at them, its tongue constantly sniffing the air, its vertical eyes never leaving the pair.
"Yugito" was rapidly approaching, heading directly towards Sasori and Deidara. The two sides would meet in a few minutes, but Zetsu didn't appear out of nowhere. She needed to create a good alibi, showing up out of nowhere and saying hi would be incredibly suspicious.
So she changed her clothes and removed her Hitai-ate(headband). She didn't use transformation, but disguised herself to enter the city. Transforming was useful, but it was also a clear layer of chakra over the skin, easily sensed by any nearby sensory ninja, so she preferred a physical disguise.
Sure, like Zetsu, he could transform into other targets using just a little of the target's chakra, but Yugito wouldn't do that, after all, the goal was to create the illusion of hiding, not to actually hide.
She knew Deidara and Sasori would find her. How? A White Zetsu had been following her ever since she left the Land of Sound.
Yugito only needed Zetsu to inform Black Zetsu, Black Zetsu would inform Obito, Obito would inform Pain, and Pain would give the order to Deidara and Sasori.
Jugo had to admit that the Zetsus made the exchange of information, which was normally complicated, much easier.
Without ninjas attempting to infiltrate enemy territory in search of information, a job where death was often at their backs, Zetsu made all of that seem commonplace.
If it weren't for Jugo's wooden style, it would be much more complicated to deal with these guys.
The white snake continued to monitor the pair while Yugito hid in the city, acting as if she were trying to evade pursuit.
There really was a chase, Oto ninjas, Jonin, following deliberate tracks, it was a decoy, but not even the pursuing ninjas knew it. To them, the mission was completely real.
The three sides, ninjas from Oto, Zetsu Yugito, and Deidara and Sasori, were playing on a chessboard, Jugo's Snake Clone merely observed from above, ensuring that everything would go as he expected.
