Mukade, the villain from the movie The Lost Tower, was a puppeteer who used Ryūmyaku as an energy source for his puppet army. Unfortunately, Jugo was after this thing, so the future changed drastically.
Mukade never went to Roran because Jugo had directly stolen the dragon vein. What had happened to Mukade because of this? Jugo had no idea.
However, seeing the man smiling there, remembering the strange tree and the white liquid... this guy is really good at finding 'good things', even without his original destination, he had still found another way to strengthen himself.
Jugo could tell that the tree wasn't connected to demons, instead, the way it functioned, extracting chakra from those cocoons to create that white liquid, resembled the Divine Tree, albeit in an extremely degraded version.
Could this guy have found a lost branch of that thing?
That tree was very small, but the liquid it produced was very similar to the cells of the Zetsus.
However, none of that mattered, Jugo already considered things here as his own. After all, Mukade wasn't a nice guy, so appropriating 'illicit' goods was doing a good deed. Even so, he didn't act directly, after all, it was Toji who found this place.
Although Toji was still himself, they were currently separated, and he would have to see what Toji planned to do with that place.
The next moment, Jugo pulled Toji away and was out of the city in a few seconds, compared to Toji's speed, Jugo was still much faster.
Toji didn't quite understand what was happening, when he realized what was happening, he was already outside the city. One was a sequence 5, the other a sequence 2 angel, you could tell the difference in strength between the two with your toes.
Jugo wasn't too bothered by Toji's bewildered look and explained the situation he saw, asking what he wanted to do with that place.
Toji fell into deep thought. - In truth, we don't yet know the big picture, we can decide after we understand what's happening.
Jugo thought for a moment and nodded. - Then let's get that guy, anyway, I can rip his soul out directly and extract the information from his spiritual body, actually, just turning him into a werewolf is faster, even if he dies, I can extract his soul.
Toji shrugged, he didn't care much. He'd only come here out of curiosity, whether there was anything good to be gained from it or not remained to be seen.
Seeing that Toji did not express opposition, Jugo moved.
The Snake Clone appeared directly in front of the shocked Mukade. Before the man could react, Jugo calmly pointed his finger at Mukade's forehead. His fingernail lengthened and turned black, a simple touch caused a trickle of blood to trickle from the wound. The blood quickly turned black as Mukade's eyes widened.
He tried to fight it, attempting to use the connection to the tree to summon puppets, but the next moment, he fell, screaming in pain, feeling his entire body burning, black hairs rapidly growing from his skin.
Jugo watched with curiosity, fortunately (or not) for Mukade, he survived. The moment he returned to human form, sweating profusely, his eyes were no longer strange to Jugo, instead, it was evident that there was a fervent devotion there.
Jugo pursed his lips, he still hated the thing, but its usefulness was still apparent.
-Master.- He lowered his head and spoke.
-Wait a moment.- Jugo said. The next moment, he appeared beside Toji and then returned to the room, leaving Toji still disoriented.
-Can you stop doing that?- Toji asked irritably. Even though he himself had once been an Angel, he no longer retained his powers from that time, currently, the feeling was merely disorienting.
-Okay.- Jugo shrugged. -He's already a werewolf, we can ask now.
Toji also turned to Mukade, his irritation giving way to curiosity.
-Tell us everything, what's happening with that tree down there?- Toji asked.
Mukade looked first at Jugo, who nodded, although they were the same person, Mukade was connected to Jugo himself, not to Toji.
-I call it Saisei no ki (Tree of Rebirth).- Mukade, who maintained his usual personality when not dealing with Jugo, began to speak with animation and fervor. -When I found it, it looked like a strange corpse with tree bark. I thought it was a puppet, but after researching it further, I realized it wasn't.
-Especially when I fed it with chakra, there was clearly a reaction, the wood even tried to pierce my hand to absorb my chakra. Luckily, I noticed quickly, and that thing didn't have enough chakra to fight me.- Mukade said with pride and disdain.
Neither Toji nor Jugo interrupted, they merely observed Mukade's expressive, almost lunatic, narration.
-After that, I realized this thing wasn't easy to handle. It took me several years to learn how to use seals to control it, creating a connection with it. After that, it was easier. I fed it again. The product was this liquid, which I call Seimei no Ro (Dew of Life). This thing has many properties, but the main one is an extremely potent rejuvenating power, although the production cost proved to be very high.- Mukade shook his head. -In the beginning, this was just a side project. It was only after I understood how valuable this thing is that I focused completely on it. I've made several advancements over the years.
He pointed to the guy breathing on the counter and said. -That was my best creation, the living puppet.- He seemed even more excited as he presented this 'thing'.
