Iris:
"Yeah, I came here to grab the rest of my stuff. Don't worry, I'll be out of your hair in no time," Kash replied flatly, and my posture began to weaken.
I unfolded my arms and clasped my fingers together, gently fidgeting with them.
"I need to speak with you about something," I uttered.
I did not know why I suddenly thought I needed his help to figure out what Luca was up to, but the thought disgusted me.
It felt like I wanted Kash's attention back on me. I needed it subconsciously, yet physically, I had no control over my tongue.
"Uh, later. I have to get ready for the lunch," Kash responded, sounding even more distant as he pulled clothes from the closet and tossed them onto the bed.
He then called for a maid to collect them.
He was really moving out.
"It's strange that today we're all sitting together like this," Lara remarked as she broke the silence and began to speak.
