Chapter 194 - Chapter 194 Another World

Obito left Konoha and returned to his original time period.

However, Kurenai Yūhi's protection of Naruto did not cease.

To prevent Obito from launching further attacks, Kurenai Yūhi stayed by Naruto's side at all times.

Only after she confirmed something did she finally leave with peace of mind.

Kurenai Yūhi had already encountered two people from the future—Naruto and Obito.

Based on her deductions and repeated experiments, she arrived at an important conclusion.

That was—

The future is a fixed fact.

No matter how one tries to change history, the act of changing history itself is already part of that history and will not alter the final outcome.

Why was she able to reach this conclusion?

Because Kurenai Yūhi now knew that Naruto was Shizuki.

She had even attempted to contact the future Naruto, asking him to return to the time when Naruto was nine years old to eliminate Obito and remove the threat entirely.

As for how to contact him—

Naturally, by leaving messages.

For example, writing notes to be given to Naruto in the future.

Or carving words into stones and hiding them inside Naruto's home.

But… Naruto never came.

Why?

First possibility: the future Naruto never received her message.

Second possibility: the future Naruto did not know how to travel back to his nine-year-old self.

Third possibility: the future Naruto had reached the same conclusion as Kurenai Yūhi—

That no matter how history is altered, what happens is already determined.

Obito in the past posed no threat to Naruto in the present, so there was no need to intervene.

In short—

Regardless of the reason, Naruto was safe.

Naruto's safety put Kurenai Yūhi's heart at ease.

After Obito returned to his own time period, he saw Zetsu waiting for him.

Not sensing any Nine-Tails chakra on Obito, Zetsu asked,

"What went wrong?"

Was the timing incorrect?

Or had Obito encountered Naruto but failed the mission?

Obito replied in a low voice,

"That man's Genjutsu talent… is beyond imagination."

"No—more accurately…"

"Naruto himself is beyond imagination."

Naruto had not only taught Kurenai Yūhi that terrifying Genjutsu, but also laid an incredibly solid foundation for her.

So much so that her Genjutsu ability reached a level no one before her could imagine.

If Kurenai Yūhi had not been careless, Obito might have died at her hands.

And Obito soon realized something that truly terrified him.

Naruto had traveled back to the era when Obito was still in school.

So why hadn't Naruto killed him?

Was it because Naruto couldn't?

No.

Obito carefully reconsidered everything.

Kurenai Yūhi at that time could have contacted the future Naruto, summoned him, and killed Obito on the spot.

But she didn't.

Or rather—she did, yet Naruto never appeared.

That was impossible.

If Kurenai Yūhi had been willing to contact him, the future Naruto would definitely have known.

Then why didn't Naruto come?

Perhaps because the current timeline was already the "answer."

No matter how history changed, the final result would remain the same.

So Naruto didn't even bother killing him back then—

Didn't even bother coming to save his younger self.

So then…

How should the Dragon Vein be used?

Obito shared his conjecture with Zetsu.

Zetsu felt a headache coming on after hearing it.

It hadn't expected such bizarre causality to exist in this world.

But—

Since the Dragon Vein existed, there was still hope.

Zetsu suggested,

"Since the Nine-Tails chakra has already been obtained by Uzumaki Naruto…"

"Why not collect Tailed Beast chakra across history?"

"You bring the chakra back from different eras, and the conditions of the plan can still be fulfilled."

"After all… the opportunity to return to the past seems infinite."

Obito thought this made sense.

So he entered the Dragon Vein again.

Traveling through multiple time periods, Obito gathered Tailed Beast chakra one by one.

However—

There was one persistent problem.

The Nine-Tails.

No matter which era it was, obtaining the Nine-Tails chakra was extremely difficult.

The first Nine-Tails Jinchūriki—

Uzumaki Mito.

Wife of Senju Hashirama, immensely powerful.

She possessed the Uzumaki bloodline and could cooperate perfectly with the Nine-Tails.

And with Hashirama present, Obito could not act at all.

The second Nine-Tails Jinchūriki—

Uzumaki Kushina.

Kushina herself was not as strong as Mito.

But—

She carried Namikaze Minato's Flying Thunder God kunai.

The moment Obito appeared, Minato would instantly teleport in and rescue her.

The third Jinchūriki—

From birth to the present era, Naruto was guarded by Kurenai Yūhi.

Simply outrageous.

This time, Obito attempted to time-travel again.

But—

Something was different.

The era he arrived in was later.

In other words—

The Dragon Vein had sent Obito into the future.

"You've come."

The moment he arrived, Obito heard a voice.

He turned and saw a one-armed, middle-aged man looking at him calmly.

That was—

The Rinnegan.

And not Madara's Rinnegan.

This one possessed nine tomoe.

Obito's face twitched.

"What is this place?" he asked.

The middle-aged Sasuke Uchiha replied calmly,

"You should be asking what time period this is."

Obito: "..."

Sasuke took out a piece of paper from his pocket.

On it was Kurenai Yūhi's handwriting—the message she had written to contact the future Naruto.

"This is—" Obito felt his scalp go numb.

So Kurenai Yūhi really had contacted the future Naruto.

But for some reason, Naruto never received the message.

Otherwise, Naruto would have waited at the Dragon Vein and ambushed him.

"You should be from another world," Sasuke said calmly.

"Perhaps I should explain your fate to you."

Obito was intrigued.

Since he was already here, he might as well learn what awaited him.

So Sasuke explained the events of Shippuden.

Obito revived the Ten-Tails.

Uchiha Madara was resurrected.

After being moved by Naruto's words, Madara secretly manipulated Obito and used a forbidden technique to revive himself, becoming the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki.

Then came Black Zetsu's betrayal—

And Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's resurrection.

Naruto and Sasuke joined forces to seal Kaguya.

After hearing everything, Obito finally understood.

The time period—and the world—he was in—

Was not his own.

Because in this world, Naruto was far weaker.

And Naruto had actually forgiven him—

The man who murdered his parents.

Obito was absolutely certain.

In his own world—

Naruto would never forgive him.

That was why Sasuke had said—

"You should be from another world."
