When it was revealed to the police that Mizuki had essentially attempted an assassination and stealing a Clan's secret techniques, the Hokage had the man imprisoned and then took statements from Takeda along with Iruka backing him up with his side of the events.
"So Mizuki was trying to use the scroll he stole as a bargaining chip with other countries as a minimum…" The Third Hokage said out loud as he read through what was recorded; "And he actually thought that he could try to pin it on Yoshida in case someone needed to be silenced."
"He wanted to use the scroll to try taking my ability to Flame Meld and sell it off…To who exactly, I don't know." Takeda pointed out as he had now mellowed out a little since the police took Mizuki.
This made the Third Hokage let out a sigh as he puffed on his smoking pipe, he had a few ideas on who would want this accomplished and even more regarding who would want this kind of power at their disposal. "For now, I'll authorise Iruka's decision to make you into a Genin so you can continue your training as a Ninja, we will keep the details of what happened as a secret until you come of age or decide to tell people."
"You mean like the one you tried to keep about my family and the Hokage?" Takeda asked as he felt more strained at the idea of more secrets. "About how they were responsible for the Uchiha getting killed or for what happened with the Fourth Hokage." He said bluntly as he began to try getting answers about the how's and the why's.
"Mizuki told him about the decree you set after the Itachi Genocide." Iruka explained as he could see that the Hokage was more than a little alarmed that Takeda knew about this.
"So not only was I constantly sneered at and disliked by pretty much everyone in the Village, I had to find out from someone who was planning on killing me that they had a reason why!" Takeda snapped as he could understand that people would look down on him for being Mafia even before the mass murdering, however every fibre of his core refused to believe that his own family and friends were responsible of something like that.
"You were 7 years old and still grieving at your own clan's funeral, for pity's sake!" Hiruzen Sarutobi pointed out as he put the pipe down in it's bowl; "To tell you that such malicious rumours existed, ones that no one can tell are real or not would be completely irresponsible of me as a person AND as a leader of this village!"
"They seem to believe it well enough to think it's true…" Takeda mentioned but then sighed a little as he at least had an answer. "Still, at least I know now that there's more to it than just hating me and my family for just existing."
"Nobody hates you, Takeda. They just…have the wrong idea about you." Iruka mentioned as he pat the boy's back, ever since the whole Mizuki incident; Iruka made a promise to Takeda that he'd start trying to be nicer and help him out where he could. "I'm not going to say open up to everything but maybe start being nicer to the people in your group, take that feeling of alienation and turn it into pushing forward to prove them wrong, show them that you ca excel as a Ninja…You're gonna be placed into Teams soon so why not start there?"
"Indeed, I believe you have students to prepare for in the morning." The Third Hokage mentioned as he showed Iruka the door but then stopped Takeda when he turned to leave. "Not you…There is something I need to discuss with you alone."
Takeda nodded stiffly as he was worried that he was going to be given another punishment for going overboard on Mizuki. "I-I know I went a little too far in fighting him…So I'll accept it if you have a punishment in mind for being excessive…"
"You don't need to apologise, not for that…A person is expected to stand up for himself and especially when it comes to defending their home or their family…But make no mistake Takeda, that decree was to have your family remembered as defenders who protected the Fourth Hokage and the Village but people tend to take away the wrong message." Hiruzen explained as he walked towards a nearby painting of the village and removed it to show a safe. "In any case: I believe I told you back at your family's funeral that when you earn the rank of Genin, I'd give you the first part of your inheritance."
"Yeah…I think I remember that." Takeda said as he remembered that moment but truthfully, he had other things to think about rather than what he'd get. "Though I thought you said that I'd get everything when I come of age."
"Your father and the other Clans who allied with your family had their own arrangement when it came to the next generation inheriting the mantle of Clan leaders." The Third Hokage said and got up to go over to a wall safe; "They didn't tell me the exact details about what they were planning but they gave me this as a form of trust." He explained as he pulled out an envelope that had a small lump in the middle.
Takeda accepted it and saw the wax seal on the back of the envelope, seeing the allied symbol of the Mafia clans.
The symbol was a circle that contained the three Clans in thirds: The top emblem was the Vongola's winged clam, the left symbol was the Varia's coat of arms and the symbol on the right side was of the Yoshida clan's white gull.
"I'll look at it once I get home, today's given me a lot to think about." Takeda admitted with a small but still grateful bow to the Hokage.
Once the door shut behind him, the Third Hokage sighed as he gazed out of the window. "Honestly, young man? I can't say that I blame you…But who was it that gave Mizuki the idea to try poaching the Clan's Flame technique? The Hidden Cloud? No, they wouldn't dare after their attempt to steal the Hyuuga Clan's heir, Orochimaru is a possibility just as much as Danzo would be, but there's nothing concrete to say if either were behind this…And if they were, what could they gain from it?"
Takeda managed to get himself home and after cleaning up the place from the traps going off, he reset them in case someone tried again. "I knew the day would come for me to get this but I still don't even know if I can be ready for this…" He thought to himself as he pulled the envelope out of his pocket and then opened it: The contents opened up into a standard looking letter and a ring.
Takeda,
If you are reading this, then you've finally made it and earned the right to officially become the heir to the Yoshida Clan.
By accepting this letter and the Ring, you have now become one of us…You must behave like us and you must see things the way that we do as leaders. The greatest gift that I can offer you is insight: In order to become a truly flawless boss and leader, you must master yourself in mind, body and the Flames in your soul.
See everything, remember what you were taught and make the family proud.
Makoto Yoshida.
Takeda continued to read it and re-read because he had half expected to get answers on what to do, the only thing that he could really glean from it was some generic platitudes that came straight out of an apology letter. "That's it? That can't be it!" He yelled into an empty living room as he was half tempted to just tear up the letter, though there was something there that felt off, something that started to make more and more sense when he thought about it.
"See things the way that we do."
With that phrase nagging at his mind, he decided to test something; After quickly removing his ring that marked him as an heir to the Family which was a simple silver band with a blue gem in the middle, he then picked up the ring that had been stuck in the letter and marvelled as he recognised what it was.
This particular ring was more stylised then the one granted to an heir: This ring was a darker orange coloured band but with a more detailed look as the gem remained the same colour but with a sceptre going through a 'Yoshida' banner, stylized clouds around the outside, and a crown with a white gull on it. The gem was circled in silver and pieces of the gems that shared colours with the other Flames circled the main gem like a crown. The top says 'Yoshida' and the bottom 'Famiglia.'
"Dad's Ring to show that he's the head…And now it's mine." Takeda thought wistfully as he slid it onto his finger, a small voice in the back of his mind yelled that he didn't deserve it or was worthy of it…But it was something that he had to accept regardless. "Now to see if this works." He said as he channelled his flames through the ring to see if it recognised him.
The ring's head then suddenly burst with the indigo Mist Flame instead of Takeda's intended Sky Flame and made a similar fire form at the top of the letter where the Yoshida Clan's emblem was, the letters started to glow and began to rewrite itself almost like they were alive.
"What the…An Illusion on a letter? I know our clan had secrets but this is something else…" Takeda mumbled as he then saw the now real form of the letter on the table in front of him. It was some small relief that he didn't accidentally burn the whole thing but now he knew that what was there was the truth of his father's words.
Takeda,
If you have been able to get a hold of this letter and you are reading these words as they are, then either I am away for your Inheritance Ceremony or the worst has happened and you have been made the sole heir to inherit our Clan's leadership naturally.
I can now be as honest with you as you are now the new Head of the Yoshida Clan; With it comes the secrets to our Dying Will Flames and the knowledge of our home…Our original home in the Western Continent and why we had to leave. Remember this well, Takeda: Even though we are an established Clan in the Hidden Leaf, you must be careful with who you trust as our enemies have tried to steal our secrets of the Flames…Both from the Outside and the Inside.
Our Clan plus the Vongola, the Varia and the Sawada Clan have come together as an alliance before we came to the Leaf and we all swore by our blood to form a tontine under the very foundations of our home: We gathered our combined history, our secrets, our Sins in the case that if at least one of our own survives, we can pass on that knowledge to ensure that our legacies live on.
Something has happened that has caused us to be targeted by anyone who knows us and whoever is behind it will stop at nothing to weaponise our Flames and our legacy for their own ends…Your second priority is to make sure that no one can.
The first? Live…Look after each other, Takeda. I know you have what it takes and I know that it doesn't mean much if I am not there to tell this to you…But our greatest strength isn't any weapon or our fire, it's our unbreakable will.
Know that I am more proud of you than any words could ever hope to say, look after your mother and your sister…Protect your family with your dying will.
Makoto Yoshida, Dad.
Takeda left to him by his father in what he now knew were his final moments and he felt conflicted: He had the clarity in knowing that he was now the real deal and that he was prided for it, the bittersweet lump that settled in his stomach that this was now official and the sombre note that even with the faith left in him, he could never uphold that last request. "I'll do my best to live…I can promise you that much."
With the evening that he had, morning came almost too quickly and word of what transpired was even faster.
As Takeda mulled it over, he opted to go for a different approach with the headband since he knew that his attention span would be making him mess with it every so often. "Even if I am going to be on better terms with Iruka, I shouldn't push it…" He thought as he dressed up in something new for his next leg as a Genin.
This time, Takeda was wearing what looked like a dark blue hoodie that had white cuffs and his Ninja headband was tied onto his right arm, black pants that housed space as a holster for kunai or shuriken plus the same shoes he normally wore.
With one last glimpse in the mirror and reassuring himself that this was indeed happening, Takeda headed out of the door and began making his way to the Academy. Though he did notice that there were quite a few people who were looking his way and muttering, however this particular occurrence was something that he was at least aware about instead of the usual harsh looks and snide remarks.
Word spreads fast when it came to news and gossip, so it exploded when it was revealed that Mizuki had been arrested at the Yoshida compound in the middle of the night. Some people said that Iruka jumped in to be the hero and stop Mizuki before the "problem child" was hurt, the other people just said that Mizuki got cocky and screwed up because neither could believe that a kid could get the jump on a Chunin.
The Academy was still buzzing with the eagerness of everyone who had earned their headband and became a Genin; Nearly everyone in Takeda's class had earned one before the whole incident, so it wasn't uncommon for the others to think that the boy had just dropped out when he didn't.
There were a few people however who were still surprised that Takeda hadn't made it; Sasuke was confused since he saw him a few times when they were younger, he did see Takeda training with a white haired man and could recognise the talent which made his rejection all the more surprising.
Hinata on the other hand had her own expectations of him since she had seen him training when the group entered the Academy; Being in a similar position as Takeda but as Heiress to her own Clan, she was groomed to know what it took to be a Clan Head and that there was no room for weakness or for error. "I've seen him train during Academy time…If he can dedicate the time and the effort to show that he is improving, then it'll be disappointing to see him give up altogether…"
Everyone stood up when the door opened, thinking it was Iruka coming in to take role. Only for that look to turn to shock when Takeda not only showed up like nothing happened but also having a ninja headband wrapped around his arm.
If it wasn't for the fact that Iruka was following behind him, the entire classroom would've been in an uproar. "Alright everyone, take your seats and we'll start with your assignments into teams."
"Hold on, Iruka-sensei!" A random student called out as they were more surprised than anyone; "Why is Yoshida here? I thought Mizuki-sensei had failed his advancement test."
"After Mizuki was dismissed from the Academy, I re-evaluated Yoshida's scores since he had a few biases and felt it was satisfactory for him to become a Genin and push himself further." Iruka explained as Takeda took his seat, taking notes of everyone present and started assigning out their Squad numbers.
"And lastly we have Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha and Takeda Yoshida for Team 7 under Kakashi Hatake as your Jonin." Iruka said as he flipped the pages back over on his clipboard. "Hopefully, you all can work together and make each other into fine Ninja worthy of the Hidden Leaf."
Hours pass as the mid-morning dwindled into the late afternoon; Nearly everyone in that class had been greeted by their new teachers and led off into what would be their next steps, Sakura, Takeda and Sasuke however were kept behind as no one knew where Kakashi was or when he was planning on making his big entrance.
"So why did you really come back?" Sakura asked Takeda as the silence that stagnated in their empty classroom was making it hard to stomach. "Last I heard, you got a failing mark at the assessment."
"It's like how Iruka-sensei said, I got re-evaluated and he thought that I did better than what Mizuki originally thought." Takeda reiterated, he may have promised to be nicer and open to making friends instead of isolating himself but he also knew that he didn't want everyone knowing about what had happened.
"Iruka-sensei doesn't reconsider things fast like that." Sasuke pointed out as he decided to weigh in. "You were dismissed as not passing because you couldn't perform a Jutsu…And even if you have that flame thing, it wasn't that convincing enough to earn a pass."
"Well…He passed me, okay?" Takeda said as he was getting annoyed that they were pushing it. "I've got just as much reason to be here like you do, so can you please just drop it?"
The two decided to leave it for now because while they were skeptical about how Iruka made a 180 from being overly strict on Takeda to granting him a passing grade, neither of them were too crazy on accusing him of the stuff that most adults tended to gossip about. "Considering how his "Family" is and what I've heard Father or Itachi talk about…I don't have much reason to believe that he has some tricks up his sleeve: But he was always lazy in class and that other kid who hung around him was too much of a No-Good to pass before…What had happened." Sasuke thought to himself as he was also feeling the rather annoying sting of waiting for his supposed teacher.
Sakura fidgeted in her seat as she glanced to Sasuke, her mind was in two places at the moment; She had the dream teammate that any of the girls could have asked for in the form of Sasuke Uchiha, the top of their class and an heir to a powerful clan…But on the other hand, she also had the one that everyone had said was the opposite of everything that a respecting ninja would stand for, a boy that not only was infamous for getting into fights but also the only kid in their class who couldn't perform ANY Jutsu at all. "The Smartest Girl in the class paired with Konoha's golden child and the copper child…I'll take the 2/3 but he's just going to drag us down." She thought to herself as she believed she knew better than to smack talk Takeda in front of him.
Takeda rested his head on the desk as he was starting to get bored of waiting around; "Man, either this guy's busy or he's forgotten about us." He grumbled out loud and started to play with his ring, moving it back and forth to make the light dance on the gemstone.
"You can't really think that they're gonna ignore Sasuke, can you?" Sakura snapped as she peeked out of the window to see if anyone was following their way in from outside.
"It's a Jonin, they're probably held up on missions with the Hokage…Or they're working up the nerve to walk in to greatness." Sasuke added as he kept himself in one of his patented brooding positions, something that kept Sakura and the girls enraptured for nearly hours on end.
However even Takeda was losing patience at this no show from the person who was supposed to be their teacher; He got up from his seat, walked over to the blackboard and then headed towards the door without uttering a word. "This'll show that jerk for keeping us waiting…" Even though he was a head now, Takeda was still a kid at his core.
"Yoshida, stop whatever you're doing! All you're going to do is get us in trouble!" Sakura barked at him as she was determined to be the good student in both their teacher's eyes and in Sasuke's, though the latter didn't even glance away from the corner that his eyes were focused on.
"Remember all the times that Iruka got moody when one of us were late? Why should we have to put up with it if they won't set an example." Takeda pointed out as he walked back, though the curious thing that Sakura noticed as that even though it looked like the rogue boy was physically setting something up, it had just looked like he shut the door to a slight crack.
Sakura kept up her visage of disapproval as Takeda headed back to his seat but deep down in the back of her mind, she was cheering that someone was going to stick it to whatever jerk was keeping them waiting. "What are you even planning?"
Sasuke just scoffed as he watched what Takeda had planned, he had picked up on what he was doing but he wasn't about to lower himself to a baseless joke. "Don't bother, it's not worth the effort to try figuring out."
Though before Takeda could even so much as roll his eyes, the shuffling from the door was heard as their teacher finally made his appearance.
Standing in the doorway was Kakashi Hatake, a silver haired man with a mask that covered up the lower half of his face and wearing the standard Jonin uniform. "Sorry I took a little extra time getting here, it's nice t-" He began his introductions but the eraser that fell from the door smacked him on the head and brought up a good amount of chalk dust before it hit the floor. "Okay, forget nice…I already don't like them."
"I-I'm sorry sir! I didn't know what Yoshida had been planning otherwise I would've stopped him." Sakura said to try and apologise for both their inactions and also inadvertently outing Takeda as the culprit…Though her inner voice had a polar opposite belief. "Ha! As if…You made us wait for hours so you can suck it for falling to such a prank!"
"So…Moving on." Kakashi started as he dusted off his hair and then putting the eraser on the desk. "Now that we officially got together as Team 7, we'll be going to the roof for official talks, get there quickly because I hate waiting." He said before vanishing in a puff of smoke, leaving the three both speechless at his lack of reaction to getting pranked and at his bold attempt to dissolve his hypocrisy.
Sakura grumbled to herself as she got out of her chair first and decided to at least try to remedy his impressions of her. "Come on, Sasuke…At least we can look better since we weren't the ones acting like immature kids."
Though that would've been her plan but Sasuke was already out of the door by the time that the smoke dissipated, leaving both Takeda and her alone to leave.
"Oh…Well, I'll see you there!" Sakura cheered out loud in the hopes that he heard her but her attitude changed on a dime when she saw Takeda lumber past her towards the door. "Nice going by the way…Really good job in making our teacher hate us in the first five minutes."
"We took the time to wait for him, if he's not gonna respect us as students then why should I respect him in return?" Takeda pointed out as he was a little surprised that Sakura was humouring him with her presence as they walked together, though the fact she was using that time to berate him wasn't surprising.
"He's still our teacher…And a Jonin to boot, he is the higher authority and can easily make it worse for us." Sakura retorted with an indignant huff at Takeda's lack of care. "I did not work THIS hard and for this long to be with Sasuke…just to get thrown back to the academy because of your lack of respect for our Ninja Code!"
"Appointments must absolutely be respected." Takeda reiterated as he turned on the stairs and started walking up. "You may think that I'm just a thug but my clan still have rules to follow even if I'm the only one to follow and enforce them."
Sakura blinked, she hadn't expected for Takeda to advocate for actual rules even if they were just his own…It only made her more curious to find out what else he had to follow. "Really? So tell me, Mr. Bigshot…What other rules do you have?"
"Rule 1. No one can present himself directly to one of our clan leaders. There must be a third person to do it… 2. Always being available for the Boss is a duty – even if your wife is about to give birth… 3. Appointments must absolutely be respected… 4. Wives must be treated with utmost respect. 5. When asked for any information, the answer must be the truth…" Takeda recited with the level of seriousness that came with repeating it ever since being able to talk.
"Wow…And to think that everyone in the village says that the Mafia Clans were a bunch of lawless brutes…" Sakura thought to herself and had to feel a little impressed that Takeda was at least honest enough to share his principles. "So if I ask you a question as a teammate, you can be honest with me?"
"Like you said, we're teammates." Takeda agreed as he walked up towards the door to the roof. "If you're honest with me then I'll be honest with you…I know I'm not exactly Sasuke but I'll look out for you if you do the same."
Sakura nodded a little as she both agreed to his terms and accepted that he was willing enough to put trust in her as well, though it did ignite a small warmth in her to hear him say something like that to her. "Alright, then let's go meet Kakashi and see if we can turn this around…I am still annoyed at you for making him snippy with us for life though." She said and then returned to her irritated expression when she remembered what he did.
When the door opened up, Sasuke was sat under the shade of a tree while Kakashi was leaning against a railing while keeping the place in an awkward silence. "Well, now we're all here…Let's get down to brass tacks." Kakashi remarked as he gestured for the two to sit by Sasuke.
"Again, I'm really sorry about what happened in the classroom." Sakura apologised on behalf of her team's behalf, though all that earned her was an unfazed one-eyed blink from Kakashi and some subtle eye rolls from both of the two boys. "So what do we do now?"
Kakashi straightened up as he began going into teacher mode. "Well, since we're making up for lost time, how about we go around and break the ice by saying a little about ourselves? You know, stuff like hobbies, dreams and whatnot." He suggested before glancing to Sakura. "How about you?"
"Oh!" Sakura flinched a little as she hadn't expected to be put on the spot like this, though the fact that she was now under the microscope and revealing her not-so secret dreams in front of Sasuke made her feel a little self conscious. "Wait, wouldn't it be easier to have you start? You are our teacher after all so maybe we can work better if we know how you work?"
"I guess…Doesn't really make much of a difference but alright." Kakashi shrugged as he tapped his chin. "Let's see, you know my name's Kakashi Hatake…I have plenty of likes and dislikes but I also have hobbies as well." He listed off though he seemed to ignore the questioning look from Sakura and the annoyed looks from Sasuke and Takeda. "But I can't say I have any goals."
"And this is my teacher…" Takeda thought sarcastically as he then noticed something behind his back; If there was one thing that he was taught at a young age, it was to be observant. "So what about that book you've been sneaking peeks at? Doesn't that count as a hobby?"
Kakashi then chuckled as he pulled it from behind him and waved it. "So you noticed my new buy, I'm guessing you know about what it is?" He asked with a more piqued interest.
"Not really, I just saw the orange sticking out from behind you and you tucked it behind your back when we came up." Takeda explained with a shrug. "It would've just been easier to say you like to read instead of that whole "I have and don't have hobbies" stuff."
"Alright then, smart guy…Since you like to reveal stuff, why don't you go next?" Kakashi said as he then made sure to tuck the book back into it's pouch so he didn't get more questions about it.
Sasuke wordlessly scoffed as he saw what he believed to be Takeda's showboating and went back to pretending not to care. "Nobody's impressed…Anyone could see that book from a mile away."
"Fine, my name is Takeda Yoshida…I like plenty but my hobbies are mostly stuff like cooking and marksmanship." He started to explain but then paused when he saw the confused expression. "What? I'm a big fan of target practice."
"Uh…Huh…" Kakashi nodded as he realised the clan that this kid came from. "Well…Considering his background, not really a shock." He thought as a small nugget of curiosity hooked itself in his mind at the prospect of seeing whether this boy was up to their standards. "So what about dreams?"
Takeda then gazed up at the clouds curiously and thought about what he would say. "I guess; I don't really have much in terms of a dream, more of a goal…To take what remains of my clan and reform it into something stronger…Become a Clan head to be proud of."
Kakashi hummed along with what Takeda was saying; Being a former ANBU meant that he had watched the Varia and certain members of that group of clans in action, he wouldn't be shocked if it DID happen, that and knowing how headstrong that the head officers of them were. "Sounds like you put a lot of thought into it…Though you know that you have to put a lot of work into that."
"I'm aware of that."
Kakashi then waved it off before looking to Sakura. "And how about you? Want to tell your team a little about yourself?" He asked as now the attention was back on her.
Sakura nodded as she felt a little more calm at the prospect of talking about herself then when he turned to her first. "Okay…My name is Sakura Haruno, I like syrup dumplings…but I like a certain someone more." She said and then glanced to the sullen boy with her cheeks flushed pink, something that made both Kakashi and Takeda look at her weirdly but Sasuke never even flinched. "My dream is to become a great Kunoichi like Tsunade the Sannin."
"Top in her class for Ninja Training but she's as subtle as a hammer everywhere else…" Kakashi mentally snarked as he saw Sakura settle down. "Like I said with Yoshida, that's a lofty goal…You're going to need to work hard if you want to even come close."
"If it means working with Yoshida to be by Sasuke's side then I'll do it with grace!" Sakura said in a backslid attempt to placate herself to Sasuke.
Something that wasn't left unnoticed by the three as they saw how she changed her focus on a dime. "Wow…That promise to look out for each other lasted about as long as I expected it to." Takeda thought as he felt his mood sour to the point that it almost matched Sasuke's.
"O…Kay then, now that we've covered that." Kakashi clapped his hands together to get the focus back. "How about you, Sasuke? Want to tell us a little about yourself?"
"This is pointless…We're just on the same team, they don't need to know everything about my private life just like I don't care to know their's…" Sasuke muttered as he was adamant on not participating beyond the minimum. "Not to mention that you didn't bother to tell us anything about yourself to begin with."
Kakashi sighed, he had found the potential problem student but he wasn't about to argue since he did have a point. "Look, we're all going to be working together until you guys age out or you become qualified enough to become Jonin yourselves…One part of this is t-"
"My hobbies don't matter, my list of likes are little concern and my dislikes are plentiful." Sasuke snapped as he decided to just be upfront. "I have no dreams, only one goal: To kill the man who is responsible for my suffering and to attain a loftier meaning to my life than to just survive."
Kakashi blinked with his one uncovered eye and saw the resemblance between him and his former ANBU brother. "Yep…He's an Uchiha alright…"
Sakura was practically entranced by Sasuke's overwhelming sense of angst and derision, it was like everything that she had dreamed of since she first saw him…Though it also cut the part of her dream where he would proclaim his desire to restore his clan with her as his future wife.
Takeda was equally as derisive as even a blind man could see the backhanded comment of Sasuke's goals being greater than his, though judging from the bewitched gaze from Sakura and Kakashi's lost expression…It was only him that noticed or cared about the jab.
"So…We have an aspiring Master Kunoichi, a mobster with plans and an avenger." Kakashi surmised as he got up from his leaning stance and turned his gaze to the three of them. "I have to say that so far…I really don't like any of you at all."
There was no one who could have anticipated that Kakashi was that blunt but Takeda looked the most unphased since he already had a distinctly low standard of Kakashi, now he just had a valid reason to not like him beyond being late. "Well, considering that you're gonna be our teacher…That's going to be a problem."
"First impressions can be changed, though…Which is why I organised some training exercises in order for you three to change my mind, you are right that I am to lead you as a team but that's only half of the step…"
Sakura tilted her head in confusion at this idea, their new teacher was far more confusing than she had initially expected and a lot more confrontative than Iruka had been. "So…What is this training?"
"Team building…" Kakashi stated simply as he got up and headed for the door, not bothering to wait for further questions. "Show up at 7am and be ready….Oh, and try to avoid having breakfast, the training I'll be doing is aggressive and you'll end up throwing it back up again." He warned before vanishing from the roof, leaving the trio to take in everything.
