Hanrui pinched her cheeks in exasperation while the older Zhuqing started laughing at her younger self's innocent question.
"Qing'er, Were you even listening to what I was saying earlier? Or are you just nodding along?" He asked, making her pout and look away in embarrassment.
"I clearly said, if I was still a "Soul Master", it would be difficult to "Catch It" if it wanted to escape, but I can still "Defeat It", while its speed is troublesome.
And you say it's too easy? Was it supposed to be hard to beat for me? A level 35 Soul Elder with 3X 10,000 year Soul Rings?" He said.
Zhuqing playfully poked her tongue at him and looked away again, her ears still red from embracement.
"As for that Dagger, well, I made it to make it easier to kill the Soul Beasts below 100,000 years of cultivation, so of course it is different.
So as long as you have enough strength you can even make superficial injuries on a 100,000 year Soul Beast with that dagger." He said, making her eyes widen.
'So, this dagger can really be considered an Artifact?' Zhuqing thought as she stared at it.
'Hmph, I made it using rare metals and used sealing arts to make it the sharpest weapon.
But I also installed safe guards so it won't cause any trouble. Make it look like a normal dagger and be a bit blunt unless it detects the proper usage and in the right hands.' Hanrui thought.
As they were bickering the Nether Flame Phantom Dark Panther's Soul Power condensed into a white ring then slowly turned yellow then purple, and stabilized as a 1000 year Soul Ring.
"Ok ok, let's stop bickering, get ready and absorb your first Soul Ring, Qing'er." He said, making Zhuqing turn serious.
She summoned her Martial Soul and used Martial Soul Possession, then she sat down cross-legged on the ground beside the Nether Flame Phantom Dark Panther and summoned the Soul Ring to her body and started absorbing the Soul Power.
Hanrui was about use his 1st Soul Skill "Dragon King's Grace" on Zhuqing but Xiao Long was once step faster than him as it cat the skill before him.
The first Soul Ring on Xiao Long flashed and green light enveloped Zhuqing increasing her attributes while giving her constant healing buff.
As Zhuqing steadily absorbing the Soul Power, a phantom is the Nether Flame Phantom Dark Panther appeared in her consciousness.
Just as Zhuqing was about to be pulled inside the older Zhuqing intervened and pulled the soul beast into her own domain and looked at it with a half smile.
'You have quite the gall to hide your soul infront of me, little beast.' She mocked as primal fear gripped the Soul Beast in place.
Before the Soul Beast could even try to surrender, Zhuqing(MS) made her move, swiping its body with her claws, cutting its body in half, cleanly and instantly turned the soul beast into energy.
Zhuqing who was absorbing the Soul Power started feeling pain in her body but as she said, she gritted her teeth and endured.
Her muscles, tendons and even her meridians stared taking damage, but due to have the healing buff, there are quickly being mended.
Each time her body is tearing itself and put back together, her body visibly started to grow stronger.
Despite that the pain persisted, nearly making her faint.
Just then a change occurred, as she was absorbing the the Soul Power.
An illusionary tail started to manifest on her back beside her cat tail.
While Hanrui stared at it surprised, the older Zhuqing decisively took action and funneled the extra energy/Soul Power from the Soul Ring into the illusionary tail.
Suddenly the pain Zhuqing was signing from reduced by half, because of it.
Zhuqing, oblivious to the changes, put her full concentration into absorbing the Soul Power and slowly felt the pain go away and the flow become natural.
It's only after nearly an hour later she finally finished absorbing the Soul Ring and opened her eyes.
She jumped to her feet and cracked her bones, feeling lighter and peaceful.
She pounced into Hanrui's chest and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you, brother Hanrui." She said, her face still buried in his chest, her two tails wagging uncontrollably.
"You don't need to thank me, you are my future wife, it's only natural i help you." He said as he pinched her cat ears, making her giggle in delight.
Seeing the little girl still didn't seem to notice her new tail, he held one of the tails in his hand, before she could react, making her stiffen in his arms.
Just as she was about to protest in her astonished eyes he held the other tail in his other arm, making her confused by the feedback.
"Huh?" a confused sound left her mouth as she moved her head from his chest and looked at him, confused.
