Chapter 118 - Chapter 118

Transcendent Judgment Magic — Fairy's Law!

One of the three ultimate magics of the Fairy Tail Guild.

This legendary meta-magic is said to conquer darkness with divine light—targeting everything that the caster's heart perceives as an enemy and annihilating them through pure will. Rumor has it that if the caster's faith is strong enough, even the world itself could be destroyed.

Without a doubt, the reward for the guild's latest upgrade was beyond belief.

When the Hundred Regiments Alliance incident occurred, Sugisawa Yuuto obtained the power of Fairy's Law. A single strike would be enough to obliterate an entire army. Yet this new spell—Transcendent Judgment Magic—surpassed even that.

As Yuuto stood there, still reeling from the joy of obtaining Fairy's Law, a hush fell over him.

Beside him, Gion noticed his sudden silence and felt a ripple of unease.

"President Sugisawa Yuuto," she began seriously, "I know this request isn't a trivial one. So—aside from the remuneration listed in the commission letter—I'm willing to grant one additional request of yours, as long as it's within my power and doesn't violate my sense of justice."

Yuuto arched a brow.

"Anything?" he asked lightly. "Then how about… this."

He stepped closer and whispered something into her ear.

For a heartbeat, Gion froze in place. Her delicate face flushed a brilliant shade of red.

Conflict flickered in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Yuuto teased. "Even such a small request can't be fulfilled? It seems the Vice Admiral's sincerity isn't as great as I thought."

He turned as if to leave.

"W-Wait!"

Gion inhaled sharply. Her pretty features hardened with resolve, as though she'd made up her mind.

Then—before anyone could react—under the stunned gaze of every G-5 Marine officer, Gion stepped forward, seized Yuuto by the collar, rose on her toes, and pressed her lips against his.

Her first kiss—guarded for over thirty years—was gone in an instant.

The entire fortress fell silent. One could have heard a pin drop.

"Satisfied now?" Gion muttered, wiping the corner of her mouth, her eyes flashing.

Yuuto burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! I can see the Vice Admiral's sincerity clearly now. Rest assured—your request will be fulfilled today!"

With that, his body dissolved into golden light, vanishing into the sky above G-5 Fortress.

For several long seconds, no one spoke.

Then—

"Ehhh?!"

"W-What just happened?!"

The stunned Marines erupted into chaos, their uproar echoing like a tidal wave.

"Vice Admiral Gion—the most beautiful woman in the Marines—she kissed him!"

"And in front of everyone!"

"Has the President of Fairy Tail already claimed our Vice Admiral Momousagi?!"

"No! I refuse to accept this!"

"I object to this marriage!"

"Shut up, you fool! They're a perfect match—beauty and power incarnate!"

"Vice Admiral, please forgive their nonsense!"

"Wait—if President Sugisawa Yuuto and Vice Admiral Gion really end up together, does that mean we could join Fairy Tail too?!"

Pandemonium spread through the fortress, full of teasing shouts and crude jokes.

And among them, the one hit hardest of all was Vice Admiral Chaton, the infamous "tea dolphin."

Known as one of the greatest "simp legends" of the seas, Chaton had been courting Gion for over ten years—proposing nearly a hundred times and being rejected every single one.

In the hierarchy of hopeless romantics, his persistence rivaled the Four Great Lickers of the Sea—the Black Tiger, the Boiling Sheep, the Two-Faced Turtle, and the Tom Cat.

Until now, Chaton at least consoled himself with the thought that his beloved Gion was cold to everyone, not just him.

But now…

The goddess he'd adored for years had thrown herself into another man's arms—without hesitation, in front of the entire garrison.

Chaton's world shattered.

"G-Gion Vice Admiral… you—you…"

His words died as he trembled, face pale.

Nearby, the young officer Yunque blushed furiously.

"S-Sister Gion, why did you kiss that man? Don't tell me… you actually like him?"

The other woman, Peacock, widened her beautiful eyes in shock.

"Gion, do you realize who he is? That man's one of the Five Emperors! He may not have done anything outrageous yet, but he's still on the opposite side of the Marines! Just like the Enies Lobby incident—one day, he'll clash with us in full!"

Colonel Smoker spoke in a low voice, frowning.

Hina cast him a sidelong glance.

"Still bitter about losing to him in Loguetown?"

"That's different!" Smoker snapped, scowling.

"Enough," Gion said quickly, trying to suppress the teasing. "No more gossip."

Outwardly, she appeared calm—but her heart was in turmoil.

That had been her first kiss.

Something she'd never planned to give away lightly.

How had she let herself… agree to that?

No, no, no! What was she thinking?!

She shook her head hard, cheeks burning.

Just then, her den-den mushi began to ring.

Blublublu~

It was Vice Admiral Tsuru calling.

Gion slapped her cheeks lightly, forcing herself to focus, and answered the line.

"Sister Tsuru, the G-5 Fortress situation has been resolved. President Sugisawa Yuuto accepted our proposal, but…"

She recounted the earlier negotiation in detail.

"Good work, Gion," Vice Admiral Tsuru replied with a faint smile. "As for the letter requesting Fairy Tail's investigation into Dressrosa…"

"Yes, Sister Tsuru? Should I deliver it now?"

"No need."

"Eh? Why not?"

"Just moments ago, Fairy Tail arrived in Dressrosa and completely annihilated the Donquixote Family under Doflamingo's command. All of Dressrosa's hidden corruption has been exposed. I'll be heading there myself shortly."

"What—?!"

Gion froze, utterly speechless.

At that instant, realization struck her like lightning.

When Yuuto said earlier that there would be results today, he hadn't been bluffing.

He'd already investigated everything about Dressrosa—long before meeting her.

And yet, he'd said nothing… letting her make that ridiculous request.

Her precious first kiss… given away for nothing!

"Ugh…"

Gion covered her face, feeling tears well up.

Meanwhile, somewhere high above the New World, a golden streak blazed across the sky.

Blublublu~

Yuuto's den-den mushi rang.

"President! The situation in Dressrosa has been handled!" came Erza's steady voice.

"I know," Yuuto replied calmly. "Return for now."

He hadn't received any direct report before this call—yet he already knew the mission was over.

After all, the guild's sudden upgrade reward could only mean one thing.

Strictly speaking, his own mission—to find the missing children—was still incomplete.

For the guild to level up mid-quest, the only explanation was that Erza and the others had already completed the main commission in Tokushima.

The event had concluded hours ago.

And with that, the golden light streaked onward—toward the next storm awaiting Fairy Tail.
