She sat at her desk, the cold light of dawn bleeding into her room. Her gaze fixed on the scattered sketches, and the hospital envelope tucked under a stack of textbooks. She stared at it in silence, her resolve finalized.
The fear that once, made her hide it, was now gone. She was ready. Ready to face it head on, despite the challenges and battle it may come with.
She inhaled slowly, her shoulders squaring in the process. Without hesitation, Maya reached for her laptop. She opened her agency login, and the schedule for the next two weeks blinked back at her. It was fully packed; photoshoots, evaluations,and runway casting. It was everything she had worked for.
