~Abigail's POV~
"I'm so nervous," Debbie breathes beside me, her fingers twisting together in her lap.
Esther, on the other hand, looks like she's vibrating with excitement, her face glued to the window as the car rolls through the gates of the Suzuki estate.
I smile despite the nerves tightening my chest. Darius feels it, squeezing my hand, silently telling me I'm here. And that I'm okay.
The car stops, and Kenji is already waiting with two guards behind him. One opens the door, and Esther hops out first, practically bouncing. Debbie follows more slowly. Then I step out with Darius close behind.
"Welcome," Kenji says warmly. I return the smile immediately. He and Darius exchange a quick handshake. Debbie gives an awkward, tiny wave. Esther, of course, just stares at Kenji like he's an idol stepping off a runway.
"You're even more handsome up close," she giggles.
Kenji laughs. "And you are even more beautiful up close, Esther."
