"So you spent your rut with another Alpha just like yourself, and he just left without a word?" Minjae asked, his eyes wide as he was absorbing every detail.
"Um..." Rihan blinked at him.
Of course, Minjae didn't know the full story. He had cut out a lot of parts. Like the part where Taeryn was actually a killer, the part where Taeryn was also a psycho who triggered his rut in the first place, the part where he was actually an Enigma, not an Alpha like Taeryn.
Rihan had cut everything down to a clean summary, yet Minjae still looked ridiculously invested.
He took a slow sip of his coffee before nodding. "Yeah."
"Well… was he just helping you through it? Or was it something more?" Minjae asked suddenly, leaning in.
Rihan instantly regretted opening his mouth at all.
"I don't know," He sighed, fished out a cigarette, sparked his lighter, and brought the flame to the tip.
"But it won't happen again, and I'm over it." He exhaled a heavy plume of smoke.
