The battle between Fenric and Golden Sage King had already drawn the attention of the local government.
Boom!
A deafening roar echoed as a helicopter appeared overhead, blades slicing the night sky. Sirens wailed on the streets below, police rushing in from all directions.
But the most alarming arrival was from above—an enormous robot flying in from the distance.
"Senior Golden Sage, where is the enemy?"
The robot's metallic voice rumbled as it hovered, its very presence confirming one thing: the pilot was a Samsara.
Fenric had just pushed himself up from the rubble when his death sense screamed danger.
"Shura, I advise you not to resist."
The crisp, cold voice came from the side. Fenric turned to see a woman aiming a bizarre-looking gun at him, its muzzle locked onto his chest.
With Fenric's current strength, ordinary firearms meant nothing. Yet the moment that strange weapon fixed on him, his instincts flared. His death sense whispered warnings—this gun was dangerous.
Clearly, it wasn't ordinary. Its power could threaten him, though it lacked the force to kill.
"Beauty, I don't like people pointing guns at me."
Fenric's voice was low as arcs of lightning crackled across Thor's Hammer, electricity dancing up his arm.
Zi-zi-zi!
The woman's brows knitted, but she said nothing—she simply pulled the trigger.
Whoosh!
Instead of bullets, a glowing orb of green light shot forth.
A magic gun!
Fenric instantly felt the danger. If struck, this attack would cause real trouble. He twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the blast.
But to his surprise, the green orb curved mid-flight, homing back toward him.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Two more orbs streaked out as the woman fired again, her expression icy.
Three glowing projectiles flanked Fenric from all sides.
"Enough!"
Fenric swung Thor's Hammer, summoning a bolt of thunder that tore through the sky and struck at the woman.
But her body shimmered, turning translucent, and the lightning passed harmlessly through her.
Fenric narrowed his eyes. What kind of ability is that?
At the same time, he could tell—this woman was no ordinary opponent. She was another A-Rank.
"Zi-zi-zi!"
Fenric hurled thunder at the green orbs, shattering them on contact. The light dissolved instantly, unable to withstand the storm's fury.
Boom!
The air cracked as Fenric vanished, reappearing in front of the woman in a blur of motion. He whipped his leg toward her head in a vicious kick.
The woman's eyes widened. She tried to retreat—
—but his strike was intercepted.
Clang!
Golden Sage King appeared, blocking Fenric's kick.
"Miss Song, this man is my prey. Don't interfere."
Though his words were directed at her, Golden Sage King's glare never left Fenric. His body, however, trembled slightly, sweat dripping down his forehead.
That last exchange had drained him—just as Fenric's Buddha Palm and Savage Charges had consumed much of his energy.
Fenric exhaled slowly. He, too, was nearing his limits.
Boom!
The giant robot finally descended behind Fenric, landing with earth-shaking force. Its metallic voice boomed:
"Senior Golden Sage, we don't wish to interfere with your hunt. But your battle with Shura is tearing apart the city. The President fears Soule itself will not survive if this continues. We were ordered to assist."
"Senior Golden Sage, end this quickly."
Golden Sage King's brows furrowed. He said nothing, but gave a curt nod. Even in his arrogance, he could not ignore the President's will.
The three of them turned, encircling Fenric.
"Shura," the robot rumbled, "you are undeniably strong. To stand against Senior Golden Sage proves your worth. But against the three of us together, you have no chance. Surrender."
Fenric eyed the trio. The robot's design looked familiar, yet he couldn't place whether it came from a movie or an anime.
Still, their combined might was undeniable. Golden Sage King alone already pressed him to his limits. Against three A-Ranks, Fenric knew the outcome—he would be crushed.
He wasn't a fool. He didn't need to fight to the death here.
"Today's been fun," Fenric said calmly. "But this fight ends here. Another day, I'll return… and we'll play again."
"You think you can run?" the robot sneered. "You won't escape."
The woman's eyes suddenly widened as realization struck. "No—he has teleportation!"
The instant her words fell, Fenric's form blurred—and vanished.
Teleportation. His trump card. Not even a secret anymore, thanks to the One Piece dungeon.
The three stood frozen, faces dark with frustration.
"Bastard! No wonder he dared to cause chaos in Soule," the robot roared. "With teleportation, he can come and go as he pleases!"
The woman's voice was low, solemn. "We've provoked a monster. And worse—a monster with limitless potential. When he returns, he'll only be stronger."
Her words silenced the others. Even Golden Sage King's expression hardened.
The man they called Shura had just broken through the tenth floor of the Samsara Tower. And already, he was this strong.
Suddenly, Golden Sage King's ears twitched. He closed his eyes, floating into the air as if listening to something distant.
Moments later, his eyes snapped open, sharp and focused.
To the north, a blazing ball of fire rose into the sky.
Boom!
In a flash, Golden Sage King vanished, racing toward the flames.
