Chapter 394 - Chapter 395: The Gods Are Nothing More Than That!

Buzz…

The earth shook. The mountains quaked. The sea roared.

In the distance, a volcano erupted violently, spewing magma and ash into the sky. It was as though the whole world screamed in agony, trembling on the brink of collapse.

"What's happening? An earthquake?!" Blink cried out, her voice high-pitched with fear.

"This… this is his power?!" Storm stammered, her face pale. "What kind of ability is this?"

"Damn it… does he mean to destroy the entire world?" Wolverine muttered, his usually steady expression gone white.

Even Magneto faltered, whispering in awe, "Oh, God…"

At that moment, every mutant present felt the same terrifying truth—

The world itself seemed on the verge of annihilation.

One punch.

Just one punch from Fenric had shaken the very fabric of heaven and earth.

The sight was horrifying.

As they trembled, the environment around them began to change once more.

The ground's vibration intensified, building rhythmically until it evolved into a full-blown earthquake.

Along the distant coast, houses collapsed in succession. In mere moments, a small town was reduced to rubble. Towering trees toppled like fragile sticks, uprooted by the violent tremors.

Fortunately, the town had long been abandoned, or the devastation would have claimed countless lives.

The volcano thundered louder, hurling molten rocks high into the sky. They rained back down in blazing showers, striking the earth with explosions of fire and ash.

Out at sea, the waves swelled higher and higher—until they fused into a monstrous tsunami.

This wave dwarfed even the one Fenric had summoned earlier with his trident.

The raging waters surged forward, as though intent on swallowing the entire world.

But the greatest terror lay in the void itself.

Fenric's punch had shattered space, leaving jagged cracks in the very fabric of reality.

At the same time, the shockwave engulfed the entire Sentinel army. In an instant, the machines were torn apart—shattered into fragments that rained from the sky and crashed into the sea like a storm of metal.

One punch.

That was all it took.

With a single strike, Fenric annihilated the supposedly invincible Sentinel army.

On the ground, Wolverine and the others could only gape in stunned silence, their mouths open as they stared at him.

Before, calling Fenric a god might have seemed like an exaggeration.

Now, such a comparison felt inadequate.

Even gods could hardly match him.

Every mutant present felt it in their bones—Fenric had the power to destroy the world. A few more punches like that, and there would be nothing left.

Ordinary gods could not do such a thing.

"Is this… his true strength?" Blink whispered, her wide eyes fixed on Fenric, awe and fear mingling in her voice.

"Enough!" Professor X suddenly shouted. "Fenric, stop! The power plant can't withstand this much longer!"

Hovering in midair, Fenric let out a small laugh. "I'm afraid it's too late. The earthquake I caused can't simply vanish at my command."

At his words, Wolverine and the others nearly coughed blood in frustration.

He couldn't suppress the destruction he had unleashed? And yet he warned them about being accidentally hurt?

Still, none dared voice their complaints. Not now. Not against someone like him.

Even Wolverine, who never feared anyone, held his tongue in Fenric's presence.

At last, Fenric descended to the ground, releasing the Indestructible Demon Body state ahead of time.

With the Sentinels destroyed, there was no need to waste energy maintaining it.

After all, the Indestructible Demon Body was but one of Fenric's many abilities—and unlike most, he could dispel it whenever he chose.

The moment the transformation faded, exhaustion swept over him.

"It's not that long… and I'm already this tired?" Fenric thought, surprised. "The cost of using this ability is immense."

Clearly, the Indestructible Demon Body was best reserved as a last resort—a trump card.

When he landed on the platform, the structure was still trembling violently, its foundations strained to the limit by the aftershocks.

"Old Man," Fenric said, turning to Magneto. "This plant is made of metal. With your power, you should be able to stabilize it, prevent it from collapsing."

Magneto stiffened at the casual way Fenric addressed him. But he dared not complain. He only nodded quickly. "I'll try."

He rose into the sky, power radiating as he seized hold of the metal structure.

Bit by bit, the entire thermal power plant steadied under his control. The vibrations subsided, and at last the facility held firm.

The others exhaled in relief.

But their gazes soon turned back to Fenric—filled now not with suspicion or resentment, but awe.

Fenric ignored their looks. He turned toward Skynet.

"How much longer?"

"About an hour, brother," Skynet replied eagerly. "You're incredible! Are you… a god from the Bible?"

"Don't talk nonsense," Fenric snapped. "There are no gods. Focus on your task."

"Got it, brother!"

Something occurred to Fenric then. He turned to Professor X and the others.

"By the way," he said casually, "have you chosen who to send back into the past? The time displacement device can't carry too many at once."

The mutants froze.

Fenric's words left no room for doubt. Even if they didn't want to believe it, they had to. After all, they had just witnessed his terrifying power firsthand.

This decision would determine everything—who would travel back, stop the Sentinels' creation, and rewrite the fate of all mutants. The burden was immense.

Professor X thought deeply, then finally turned his gaze toward Wolverine.

But before he could speak, Fenric cut him off.

"If you haven't decided, I'll make the choice."

Professor X blinked, stunned, but fell silent. He could only wait to hear Fenric's decision.

"Blink. Storm. You two."

Fenric's tone left no room for argument.

Time displacement had one… peculiar requirement.

Clothing could not accompany travelers.

And Fenric himself intended to go back as well—for him, this mission was crucial. There were far too few mutants in this world to allow him to achieve the supreme "god-tier" evaluation he sought. By returning to the past, he could change that.

But there was one thing he absolutely refused to do—

Travel through time alongside Wolverine, naked.

Two men, bare, side by side? Absolutely not.

That was why, the moment Professor X looked toward Wolverine, Fenric had immediately interrupted.

For him, the choice was obvious.

Blink and Storm.

Only they would accompany him.
