To help the Revolutionary Army establish its foothold, Eli Winters had stayed in the Feimon Kingdom for nearly half a month. Once the arrangements were complete, Eli and his crew set sail again, their journey continuing through the impoverished South Sea.
As for how exactly the Revolutionaries would operate, Eli didn't concern himself with it. He wasn't their babysitter, and besides, Dragon's people were capable enough on their own.
Before leaving, Dragon hadn't asked Eli to remain and assist further but he did request three special coins, each marked with Eli's spatial insignia. In times of crisis, they could use them to call for his aid. Eli agreed readily; Dragon had proven dependable this time, and for him, such a favor was no effort at all.
Now, Eli lay sprawled lazily on the deck, basking under the warm sun. "The South Sea's really poor," he muttered helplessly. "Even the rewards for daily sign-ins are pitiful."
Just like that last village Bande Village. The "reward" he'd received there was a meager 230 Prosperity Points and a single crate of electric toothbrushes. It felt more like a consolation prize than anything valuable.
"System," he said lazily. "Open the panel."

The year was now 1510 of the Sea Calendar. Another year had passed, and Eli was one year older.
His strength had indeed grown but not enough to mark a major leap. After a full year of meditation and study, his mastery over space had risen by two percent, reaching 45%. He had even created a new, devastating technique: Spatial Collapse.
The ability was nothing short of apocalyptic. A single activation could erase an entire island from existence. And if left unchecked, the collapsed zone would persist indefinitely transforming into a chaotic void, a forbidden dead zone where no life could exist.
As for Prosperity Points, since he hadn't spent them much recently, they had finally surpassed the 10,000 mark. "Not bad," he thought. "Took long enough."
Big Pan's Conqueror's Haki had also reached the advanced level, and under Eli's personal guidance, he was learning Conqueror's Infusion. His strength now rivaled that of top Admirals.
Just as Eli was reviewing his stats, Simon's voice echoed from the watchtower. "Captain! Pirate ship spotted ahead!"
Eli raised an eyebrow. "Pirates, huh? Been a while."
In the South Sea, pirates were rare. The region was too poor to support the chaos and ambition that bred piracy elsewhere.
He walked to the bow and looked ahead. A large, triple-masted ship was cutting through the waves. At first glance, it looked like a merchant vessel until he saw the black flag fluttering atop the mast.
The moment the pirate crew spotted the Silver Dragon, they froze. Then, in a panic, their ship abruptly turned around and fled at full speed.
Eli chuckled and glanced at his crew. "Looks like those rats know who we are."
Big Pan grinned. "Haha, Captain, sounds like our reputation's not too friendly among pirates these days."
Fiona frowned. "They won't get far."
Filina crossed her arms. "Full speed ahead, Dote! Let's turn those scum to ash."
Without hesitation, Dote engaged the Silver Dragon's engines. The ship roared forward, slicing through the sea like a cannonball, rapidly closing the distance.
But even as they caught up, the pirate ship refused to stop. The chase only made Filina smirk coldly.
She raised her hand. Storm clouds began to gather, twisting the skies dark. With a flick of her wrist, she summoned a raging gale that howled across the sea. The wind struck the pirate ship like a monstrous beast, sending it careening helplessly.
Eli seized the moment. In a flash, he and his crew vanished using Moon Step to leap through the air and land neatly on the enemy deck.
A bald man in a black leather coat stormed up with several armed subordinates. His face was twisted in anger, though his eyes betrayed fear. "Who are you people?! How dare you barge onto my ship?!"
In truth, he already knew who they were. Everyone did. But he prayed he was wrong that these weren't those pirates.
Eli didn't bother to answer. His Observation Haki flared outward, blanketing the entire ship in an instant. His mind's eye saw everything the deck, the cabins, the hold.
When the image of the ship's lower deck appeared in his mind, Eli's expression darkened. A surge of fury erupted from within him.
There, locked in iron cages like animals, were terrified civilians. Men, women, and children captured and bound.
A slave ship.
Eli's killing intent exploded outward. A crushing wave of Conqueror's Haki burst from his body, slamming into the pirates like a tidal wave. One by one, they collapsed, trembling violently under the overwhelming pressure. Even the bald captain dropped to his knees, too terrified to raise his head.
"Mercy, my lord!" he stammered. "Take all my treasure just spare my life!"
Eli's gaze was ice-cold. "Kill them all."
His crew obeyed instantly. Big Pan, Fiona, and Filina struck without hesitation. Within moments, the deck was awash with blood.
Only a few remained alive the bald man among them, shaking uncontrollably. "Y-you can't kill me! I belong to Lady Sherry! If you kill me, she'll hunt you down!"
"Lady Sherry?" Eli frowned. The name was familiar. Ah, yes one of her lackeys, a man named Kumori, had been the first to fall to his hands. Eli had even waited for her revenge afterward but she never came. How disappointing.
Eli stepped forward and pressed his boot onto the man's head. "Where is this Lady Sherry now?"
"I-I don't know exactly," the man stammered, voice cracking. "She's in the Sabaody Archipelago, but she never meets with us directly!"
Eli narrowed his eyes. "How many slave ships like yours are there in the South Sea?"
"Just one more! Led by a man named Gukochi he commands three fleets! I'm just a minor underling, I swear!"
Eli's expression didn't change. "I see."
He lifted his foot. The man sighed in relief only for his head to be severed the next instant. His body crumpled soundlessly to the blood-soaked deck.
Mercy had no place for those who traded lives for profit.
With the pirates dead, the crew freed the imprisoned civilians below. Their faces were pale with fear and exhaustion, but their eyes shone with hope.
Filina, Fiona, Dote, and Simon all fell silent. Their expressions darkened memories surfacing. They had once been captives too. If not for Eli, they might still be chained or worse.
"Captain," Reiju said softly, her tone steady despite the tension. "What should we do with them?"
Eli thought for a moment. "We'll ask the Revolutionaries for help. They'll know what to do."
Reiju nodded. The Revolutionary Army had already rooted itself in the South Sea, secretly taking control of the Feimon Kingdom and reforming it from within. The people there were already living better lives.
Eli extended his hand, summoning a massive Spatial Gate over the sea. The Silver Dragon glided through first, followed by the captured ship carrying the freed civilians.
In a flash of light, they emerged near the Feimon coastline.
Eli handed the rescued villagers over to his crew to comfort, then made his way to a hidden base to meet the local commander Raven, the future leader of the Revolutionary Army's Northern Division.
After hearing Eli's explanation, Raven immediately agreed to take in the refugees. His eyes widened further when Eli handed him a chest filled with Celestial Gold plundered from the East Blue.
The man was so stunned he nearly knelt on the spot. The Revolutionary Army was poor painfully poor. They had never seen such wealth in one place.
Eli just smiled faintly. "Don't mention it. Money's not something I care much about."
After all, he had already marked the Holy Land of Mary Geoise with his spatial coordinates.
As Eli liked to say, in chaos, when your neighbor hoards grain you hoard guns. Because in the end, your neighbor becomes your grain depot.
And while the Celestial Dragons weren't exactly his neighbors, his space powers made them close enough.
Once the civilians were safe, Eli took his leave. He had new prey in sight the slaver Gukochi, and the elusive Lady Sherry.
This time, he thought coldly, neither of them would escape.
Not even God could save them.
