Chapter 60 - Where is My Son

The weight of the Rossi empire pressed down on Salvatore, heavier than ever. He hadn't slept properly in weeks, haunted by the ghosts of his past and the uncertainty of his future. The power struggles within the family were escalating, and he felt like he was losing control. Then, just as he thought things couldn't get any worse, a figure emerged from the shadows, a man he hadn't seen in years. It was Enzo, an old associate who had once been fiercely loyal to Marco. Salvatore's hand instinctively went to his gun, but Enzo raised his hands in a gesture of peace."Salvatore," Enzo said, his voice low and urgent, "I need to talk to you about Alessandro."Salvatore froze, his heart pounding in his chest. Alessandro. He hadn't heard about his son in a while, not since the helicopter crash. He had sent men to search for his son, but, to no avail. "What about Alessandro?" Salvatore demanded, his voice trembling. "What do you know?"Enzo hesitated, his eyes darting nervously around the room. "He's alive and moving that's for sure." Salvatore stared at him. A wave of emotions washed over him – relief, joy, and a burning anger that he had been kept in the dark for so long."Where is he?" Salvatore asked, his voice barely a whisper. "Is he safe?" Enzo shook his head. "He's in danger, Salvatore. The Shadow Wolves are after him. They know he's alive, and they won't stop until they find him." The Shadow Wolves. Salvatore's blood ran cold. They were ruthless, relentless, and they wouldn't hesitate to kill Alessandro to get to him."He's with a woman," Enzo continued, "a librarian named Clara. She's innocent, caught in the crossfire."Clara. Salvatore remembered the name from the reports he had received. A simple librarian, a woman who had somehow captured his son's heart."I need to find him," Salvatore said, his voice filled with desperation. "I need to bring him home." "It won't be easy," Enzo warned. "Alessandro doesn't want to be found. He wants nothing to do with the family."Salvatore's heart sank. He knew Alessandro had always resented the life he had been born into, the violence and the betrayal. He had always dreamed of a different life, a life of peace and normalcy."He doesn't understand," Salvatore said, his voice filled with pain. "He's my son, my heir. He's the only one who can take my place, who can lead the family." "He doesn't want it, Salvatore," Enzo said, his voice firm. "He wants to be free."Salvatore closed his eyes, his mind racing. He had to find Alessandro, to protect him from the Shadow Wolves. But he also had to convince him to come home, to embrace his destiny."Tell me where he is," Salvatore said, his voice filled with determination. "I'll do whatever it takes to bring him back. I'll give him anything he wants, just as long as he's safe."Enzo hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "He's in a coastal town," he said, "hiding in a small cottage. But you have to be careful, Salvatore. The Shadow Wolves are watching."Salvatore nodded, his mind already racing with plans. He would move heaven and earth to protect his son, to bring him home. He would offer him the world, if that's what it took. He had made mistakes in the past, but he wouldn't let Alessandro pay the price. He would save his son, even if it meant sacrificing everything he had. The Rossi family would have its heir, and Salvatore would finally have the peace he had been searching for.
