"Human!"

The Bone Dragon's furious roar echoed as its eerie green flames transformed into deep violet-black fire. In an instant, overwhelming annihilating power erupted throughout the Undead Demiplane, engulfing Chen Junting in terrifying waves of destructive intent.

Compared to the previously weakened annihilating force, which had been nearly exhausted, the power now wielded by the Domineering Bone Dragon surged forth in its full, terrifying might. Were it not for Electrolux's protection, both Chen Junting's body and soul would have long since been obliterated.

The annihilating energy surged like relentless tides crashing against the shore—yet every wave was firmly repelled by a thin but unyielding gray barrier. "Chen Junting," gripping a translucent scepter, stood impassive, his face calm as still water, as if the assault weren't directed at him at all.

"ROOOOAR!" ×3

Three thunderous dragon roars split the heavens.

Three Bone Dragons—each the equivalent of a Title Douluo within this Undead Demiplane—rushed forward at breakneck speed, launching a fierce assault against the Domineering Bone Dragon. Yet flickering violet-black soul flames danced mockingly from its hollow eye sockets, radiating disdain.

Its spiked tail swept sideways; its claws—sharp as dark-gold terror talons—slammed down; its fangs, horrifyingly massive, snapped toward its opponent's neck. Three simultaneous attacks from different directions were effortlessly deflected by the Domineering Bone Dragon. Merely the recoil from its defense sent bone-cracking sounds echoing through the attackers' skeletons. Their once-vibrant soul flames withered under the oppressive annihilating aura, teetering on the brink of total extinction.

Yet everything—the Domineering Bone Dragon's transformation into an undead creature, as well as the very existence of this Undead Demiplane—was Electrolux's doing. How could he possibly allow such a beast to run rampant?

"Chen Junting" tapped his scepter against the ground. A wave of gray energy enveloped the area. Instantly, the haughty Domineering Bone Dragon was suppressed, while the three nearly extinguished Bone Dragons flared back to life, closing in to pummel it once more.

"Domineering Dragon," "Chen Junting" spoke coolly, "you've been dead for tens of thousands of years—your soul nearly faded. Shouldn't your hatred have dissipated with the wind by now?"

His expression remained detached. Electrolux knew precisely why his undead creation had gone rogue: nothing more than an undying grudge forged over millennia of hatred, a final breath of lingering obsession that refused to fade from the mortal realm.

"Human! Angel God!"

Stung by those words, the Domineering Bone Dragon grew even more frenzied. Waves of annihilating power poured from its body, relentlessly tearing at the forms and souls of the three Bone Dragons. Electrolux was forced to intervene repeatedly to restore them—until, all too soon, they neared their breaking point…

Then, a thread of that ancient obsession stirred—and with it, long-forgotten memories returned.

Its soul flame blazed ever fiercer, driving it into utter madness!

"Let go of hatred? Impossible! My hatred burns eternal! Qian Lingyun destroyed nearly a million years of my cultivation! She severed my path to godhood! I HATE HER! I HATE HER! I'd slaughter every last member of her accursed Qian clan and annihilate you all to quench the fire in my heart!"

"ROOOOAR!"

"In that case," came the calm reply, "don't blame this old man for being ruthless."

A flash of regret—and sharp resolve—flickered in "Chen Junting"'s eyes. Electrolux had originally hoped to preserve the dragon's lingering soul thread, intending to forge it into Chen Junting's sixth soul ring and second soul spirit. If it were truly erased now, even if a soul ring were formed, it would be no different from an ordinary 100,000-year soul ring—lacking that soul-infused essence.

Meanwhile, within the Sea of Consciousness…

Qian Lingyun.

So that was the name of the First Angel God.

Chen Junting—whose consciousness was temporarily detached from his body—listened to the dragon's furious cries and mused inwardly. But he quickly shook his head. This was no time for idle curiosity about irrelevant trivia.

"Master, let me speak with this Domineering Dragon myself."

"Very well."

Trusting his disciple without hesitation, Electrolux immediately relinquished control of the body back to Chen Junting.

His own consciousness temporarily withdrew from Chen Junting's Sea of Consciousness, materializing outside as a humanoid form shaped from a gray orb, continuing to restrain the rampaging Domineering Bone Dragon.

This display seemed to restore a flicker of intelligence to the beast—it suddenly realized its opponent might also be a deity.

"You… are a god too!?"

Electrolux regarded the dragon with serene indifference.

"This old man could have become a god… but chose not to."

"Ridiculous!" the Domineering Bone Dragon sneered. "All living beings yearn for eternal life. You humans are nothing but hypocrites!"

Despite its harsh words, its tone betrayed confusion. It sensed no deceit—this "man" clearly spoke truth, and had no need to lie. But how could anyone truly refuse godhood?

That moment of clarity was swiftly drowned again by rage, and it renewed its savage assault on the three Bone Dragons. Even with its power suppressed by Electrolux, its formidable body rendered it impervious to their attacks.

Seeing this, Chen Junting knew it was time to speak.

"Domineering Dragon—the main Qian family line has been completely wiped out!"

At those words, the Domineering Bone Dragon froze.

Clarity returned to its gaze. It let its undead form be battered by the three Bone Dragons, its violet-black soul flame locked intently on Chen Junting.

"You dare deceive this Sovereign!?"

Faced with that sky-rending killing intent, Chen Junting remained unperturbed. Activating his Seven Kill Domain to passively shield himself, he laid out everything—every major event from ten thousand years ago—for the dragon to hear.

He even revealed the truth: soul beasts cannot ascend to godhood.

"HAHAHA—!"

A harsh, exultant laugh burst from the Domineering Bone Dragon.

"Qian Lingyun! Qian Lingyun! Tens of thousands of years ago, I cultivated to this level through rare heavenly treasures, vowing never to leave Death Valley until I achieved godhood! But because of your so-called 'compassion,' you deemed my ferocity a threat to humanity and struck me down—shattering my divine path! Now look! Your Qian clan's main line is extinct, and the Angel Godhood you created has been utterly destroyed! This is karmic retribution!"

Perhaps the weight of hatred had finally lessened. The dragon no longer hid its fragmented memories, pouring out its tragic tale—much to Chen Junting's fascinated relief. He quickly pieced together its miserable history:

Early life: An ordinary soul beast.

Mid-life: Blessed with fortune akin to the Tian Meng Ice Silkworm.

Late life: Even more wretched than Kurama from Naruto—truly, "the beast sat quietly at home, yet disaster fell from the sky."

In short: Great fortune, cursed fate.

After laughing itself hoarse, the dragon finally calmed.

It fixed its gaze on Chen Junting, its annihilating aura gradually receding.

"Though only a sliver of my soul was awakened by obsession, I know clearly: in all my life, I had but one regret and one hatred—both rooted in the same desire: to break past a million years of cultivation and ascend as a god. Now you tell me soul beasts cannot become gods? Does that mean the Dragon God legacy in my blood is all a lie!?"

"Cannot… means cannot."

Unfazed by the dragon's roar, Chen Junting stood firm.

"Ten thousand years ago, the Sea God—also the Asura God—married a 100,000-year soul beast who had taken human form, a Soft-Boned Rabbit. Despite holding the rank of both a 1st-Class God and a God King, he still couldn't grant her godhood—only bring her to the God Realm. Do you think you'd be an exception?"

The dragon's dwindling intellect seemed to catch up. It eyed Chen Junting suspiciously.

"How do you know so much about that secret of godhood ten thousand years ago?"

'Because I read the script,' Chen Junting thought—but aloud, he smoothly replied: "My sect's ancestral records document it. Two of my forebears were present at that ascension and left detailed accounts."

Then, exploiting the dragon's simple mind, he added, "If you doubt me, ask my master. Though he never became a god in life, he possessed god-tier strength and understands the laws of the God Realm well."

"Fine… I believe you." The Domineering Bone Dragon sighed deeply. "Truth be told, even before Qian Lingyun that wretch came knocking, I already sensed something… off. But it felt vague—I thought it was just insufficient strength, so I gambled everything. When she struck… my last hope died with her blade."

Chen Junting stayed silent.

From a human perspective, the First Angel God's actions were justified—eliminating every potential catastrophe humanity couldn't handle alone. Had Di Tian not been exceptional, he too would've been purged.

"Enough… enough…"

As if finally released, the dragon's violet-black soul flame dimmed. A faint emerald glow emerged in its place.

"You've freed my remains and lifted my obsession. Take this corpse—do with it as you will."

With that, its violet-black flames suddenly extinguished.

Chen Junting's mouth opened—too late. He could only mutter, bewildered:

"I was just about to tell you there are other ways to become a god… Why'd you rush off like that? Did I waste all that talking?"

"Not wasted! Not wasted!"

Whoosh!

The violet-black flame reignited in an instant. The dragon's soul thread—awakened by obsession—returned, its skeletal face now alight with eager excitement as it stared at Chen Junting.

"Did you just say… there's a way to become a god!?"

In response, Chen Junting could only give it a strange look.

…Is your obsession really that flexible?

One moment it vanishes—next moment, it's back on demand?
