Chapter 169: Multiplayer Condition
"I… but we're still in school," Susan said hesitantly, her voice soft like a cat.
Dudley didn't look away, his gaze remained steady on her.
"We're legally adults now," he replied calmly. "We can already use magic outside of school. This… doesn't change much either we are still studying or not.
Susan fell silent with his word, truthfully 17 are the age where a wizards can get married but because of the school they waited until they take NEWT Examination.
Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out.
Harry watched the scene with his breath caught in his throat. He didn't even realize he had stopped breathing for a moment. Beside him, Vernon and Petunia were also staring at Dudley, their expressions filled with surprise… and quiet expectation for the new daughter in law.
Even Amelia, who usually remained composed, was observing closely.
The entire room felt tense, waiting answer from Susan.
Susan lowered her head for a moment, her thoughts in chaos.
'This was sudden....too sudden.'
But at the same time… she knew Dudley wasn't joking when he proposed to her
Slowly, she lifted her head again.
"…Okay," Susan said softly. "I agree."
For a split second.... Everything went silent.
Then suddenly, a bright white light burst out, enveloping both Dudley and Susan.
"W-What is that?!" Harry shouted, instinctively raising his arm to shield his eyes.
"Close your eyes!" Amelia warned sharply.
The light grew stronger, forcing everyone in the room, Harry, Amelia, Vernon, Petunia, and even the house-elves. to shut their eyes.
The air itself seemed to tremble with Magic..... Pure, overwhelming magic.
Flashback
When Dudley first received the Multiplayer Reward, he had been confused with it
"…The condition is marriage?" he muttered at the time, frowning with the system reward.
The more he read, the stranger it felt.
'It's like this thing is forcing me to get married,' Dudley thought, slightly annoyed by it.
The function of the Multiplayer system was simple in theory but absurd in execution.
It allowed another person to share his abilities, that means that person can use his skills, perks, the magic that he had mastered and not just even unique abilities like Gamer Mind.
Luckily there is an option for the second player to not receive a notification reward from the games, it was by muting that person.
Which meant, even if Susan agreed to marry him, she would gain access to those abilities as well and she won't know that he is a transmigrator.
A completely unfair advantage to everyone who will become his future spouse.
Later, when Dudley received the reward a second time, also the same reward which is Multiplayer, he realized something else. The system most likely forced him to get married early, maybe to make him feel more connection to this world.
Since it was a duplicate reward, the system converted it into something new, he can give this reward to anyone.
A transferable version, he could give it to someone else and without hesitation, he gave it to Steve Rogers.
"Thank you, Dudley," Steve had said sincerely. "I really needed this."
Dudley had already guessed what Steve intended to do, most likely this Multiplayer reward would be given to Hermione. He would activate the magic so Hermione can also use this thing because steve wanted to protect her

The light slowly faded, the room returned to normal.
Everyone cautiously opened their eyes.
"…What just happened?" Harry asked, still stunned.
Dudley and Susan stood there, unharmed but for Susan something else entered her mind. The formula of potion that she never knew before and even the kind of magic that she never learned before are there inside on her mind.
She also could feel a faint aura lingered between them, threads that connect her to Dudley.
Instantly she knew what it was, something like blood bond magic.
Dudley looked at Susan, his expression softening slightly.
"It worked," he said quietly.
Susan blinked, still trying to process everything.
"…Dudley," she whispered but couldn't continue.
Amelia went forward and asked Dudley.
"What did you do to Susan?"
"I have this kind of magic that could share my all magic skill to someone but that person needed to marry me, so when Susan agreed to my proposal the magic acknowledge it and shared my skill to her," explained Dudley.
Susan, Harry and Amelia instantly knows the reason why Dudley action earlier. He wanted to protect Susan by giving sharing with her all his skills.
"It's true," said Mipsy. "I can feel master Dudley connection with me after that bright light."
"Me too, I can also feel mistress susan connection," added Dobby.
"Does that mean Susan is my daughter in law?" asked Petunia.
"Yes, mother... Magic had legally bind us and now our status had changed to a marriage," revealed Dudley.
He feels it is better come clean at this time rather than letting Susan finding out it later.
"Yes I have a daughter in law now," beamed Petunia.
"Yeah, congrats Dudley," said Vernon.
Dudley can only smiled then he looked at his wife again.
"You..." Susan pointed her finger to Dudley.
"Do you hate it," Dudley cut her off.
"No," answered Susan. "But you should tell me earlier."
"I don't want you to marry me because of this bond magic, I really loves you Susan but to thinks that you only agreed to marry me because of this bond doesn't feels rights on me," said Dudley.
"Oh Dudley," said Susan wanted to hug him but stopped when Amelia Bones raised a question.
"How do you learn this magic?" asked Amelia.
"I have learn a lot of magic aunt, some magic that even you didn't know exist," said Dudley. "If you don't trust me, you can ask Susan about it because she now share all my magical skill too."
Amelia looked Susan and Susan can only nod.
"Yes aunt, Dudley told the truth."
She can only exhaled her breath when Susan confirming it.
"I will check the blood registry and if it is true you had legally married, I will the others about it," said Amelia.
The way to check it, by seeing the last name of Susan and if it changed to Susan Dursley that means she had magically married with Dudley.
"Thank you aunt," smiled Dudley.
