Kaguya looked up at me with dull, lifeless eyes. Her body was weak, coupled with the fact that she hadn't drunk a drop of blood for the past few weeks, caused her to look almost like a dying corpse. She refused to drink a drop of my blood, and when I forced her to feed, she would only throw up.
It would be a difficult task to break the compulsion the leader of the Veylmont clan had on her. They turned her into an emotionless assassin who could only follow orders. In the time that I had her here, I figured out two things:
One: her loyalty and love for the Veylmont clan transcends every other emotion she had.
Two: She hated me with a burning passion.
And finally, and maybe the most important thing: a part of her still cared for her daughter.
Figuring that out, the first thing I did when she looked at me was present her with the box containing Isabella's lungs. She barely reacted with a raised eyebrow, but she reacted nonetheless.
