Great. Just what I needed.
Raven Blackwood. The girl who somehow wormed her way into Alex's life and brought those fleeting smiles back. It was like she was the missing piece, the one who could make Alex smile again, even if it was just for a moment. She became Alex's roommate when her previous one left, and as I watched them, I realized something.
Raven was bringing my Alex back.
She made Alex laugh again. She made Alex smile. I couldn't believe it. But I had to keep my distance. Watching them from the shadows was all I could do. I couldn't intervene—not after everything that had happened. I watched as Alex slowly started to come back to herself, piece by piece. It wasn't perfect, and it wasn't easy, but Raven was the reason for the change.
