Chapter 102 - The bitter confrontation

As soon as they stepped out of the car, Yerin stood right in front of them.

Her eyes were burning with anger, jealousy, and frustration. The glare she threw at Suho was sharp enough to cut, but Suho wasn't affected. In fact, the anger in his heart was far stronger than hers. He already knew her truth now, and whatever soft corner he once had for Yerin no longer existed.

Yerin's face was flushed, her breathing uneven as she noticed Hauen standing beside him. Suho's hand was firmly holding Hauen's, protective and unyielding.

"So…" Yerin scoffed bitterly, anger dripping from her voice. "You found this bitch and ran all the way to the USA for her?"

She laughed coldly, eyes filled with venom.

"The moment our marriage was announced, she suddenly appeared. Wow… what an amazing timing." Her gaze snapped to Hauen. "Where were you all these months, huh? Hiding like a coward?"

Her words came out like poison.

"If you were hiding, you should have stayed hidden. Why show up now?" She sneered. "Trying to steal him again? Or were you scared he would actually marry me?"

Each word stabbed with intention.

Hauen's fingers tightened around Suho's hand. Suho squeezed back, grounding her. Neither of them spoke. They stood still, silent, letting Yerin pour out everything she had left to say.

Yerin's gaze slowly shifted to Suho. Suddenly, her eyes filled with tears, shimmering like she had practiced this moment a thousand times.

"And you…" Her voice trembled, sharp like a blade. "After everything, you ran after her to get her back? How could you, Suho?" Her tone rose. "Did you forget what she did to you?"

Suho stared at her, unmoving. Calm. Cold. He was watching her now, not listening. Watching how perfectly she twisted pain into performance.

"Talk to me, Suho!" she screamed.

The shouting drew Bora out of the house. She froze when she saw Hauen standing beside Suho, their hands tightly locked.

Yerin stepped closer, losing control. "How could you run after her while ignoring me?" she yelled."I'm your would-be wife! The woman you loved for years... How could you betray me like this?"

Her words came out fast, desperate.

"Do you know how restless I was when you didn't pick up my calls? I was losing my mind every second, wondering why you weren't responding!"

Her eyes burned with accusation.

"And you?" she spat. "You went to New York to fuck with this slut?"

That was it.

Suho's patience snapped.

Without saying a word, he pulled out his phone. His movements were slow, deliberate. He tapped the screen once… and played the video.

Yerin's voice filled the space. Her words. Her tone. Her truth. The color drained from her face.

She froze.

Suho's eyes burned like fire, his jaw clenched so tight it looked painful. His grip on Hauen's hand tightened, protective, grounding. Yerin stood there, exposed, her mask shattered in front of everyone.

Tears finally spilled from her eyes, real this time. But it was too late.

"Answer this, Yerin," Suho said, his voice hard, sharp, unforgiving.

She looked at him, lips trembling, but no words came out.

"What happened?" he continued coldly. "Speak now."

"You were shouting nonsense all this time. Where did your voice go?"

Yerin's eyes flickered helplessly… then landed on Hauen.

Hauen was looking at her quietly. No anger. No pride. No victory. Just an emotionless stare. And that silence hurt Yerin more than any scream ever could.

Yerin stayed silent for a second… then suddenly laughed.

It was not a normal laugh. It was hollow. Twisted. Almost frightening.

"Ohhh," she scoffed, clapping lightly. "Where did you get this from? Huh? This bitch manipulated you with a fake video?" She tilted her head, lips curling. "Wow. How cheap."

She tried again. One last attempt.

But Suho did not move. Instead, a chuckle left his lips. Not amused. Just tired. Broken. Done.

"Enough, Yerin," he said, voice boring through her skin. Eyes sharp, having no mercy in those gazes. "And mind your language in front of my wife."

Her smirk vanished.

"I am not foolish enough to fall into your lies again," he continued, his voice steady. "I have enough evidence now. Enough to strip your truth bare."

Yerin's breathing grew heavy. Her chest rose and fell rapidly as reality sank in.

She was losing. Him. Forever.

Suho looked at her, pain flickering in his eyes. Not for Yerin. Never for her. It was for Hauen. For everything she had been put through.

"Why?" he asked, almost breaking. "Why did you do this, Yerin?"

"Why did you stoop so low and cause so much pain to all of us? Why?"

And something snapped inside her.

"Because you belong to me! You fucking bastard," she screamed. "You are mine!"

Her voice echoed through the space, raw and ugly.

"And this bitch," she pointed at Hauen, shaking with rage, "She came in between us and stole you from me!"

Her eyes burned with madness.

"She ruined my home. My love life. This slut entered our lives and destroyed everything!" Each of her words was wrapped with venom and hate.

Hauen stood still. She did not speak. She did not move. But every word hit her like a sharp knife, slicing straight into her chest. And she felt it. Every single one.

"Why did you come into our lives, you bitch?" Yerin screamed, her voice cracking with rage."Why did you mess with my man? Aren't you ashamed of stealing someone else's man? You shameless, unworthy slu—"

"YERIN!"

Suho's roar cut through the air like thunder.

Yerin froze.

Her eyes went wide as she looked at him.

Suho was shaking with anger, his jaw clenched, eyes burning with a fury she had never seen before.

"Say one more bad word about my wife," he said coldly, each word sharp,"And I'll make sure you never speak again."

Yerin stumbled back a step, stunned.

He had never yelled at her. Never spoken to her like this. Never looked at her like she was nothing.

In that moment, she realized it. This was no longer her Suho.

Tears flooded her eyes and spilled down her cheeks, fast and helpless. But Suho did not soften. He did not look away. Her tears meant nothing to him now.

"Suh—" she tried to say his name, but her voice broke halfway.

Unable to face him, her gaze shifted to Hauen, who was standing quietly beside him.

"How could you?" Yerin whispered, disbelief trembling in her voice. "How could you do this to me?"

Her voice rose again, raw with pain.

"We were happy before you came into our lives!" she shouted. "We loved each other endlessly!"

She took a shaky breath.

"And then you came," she continued, pointing at Hauen. "Like a bad shadow. You changed everything."

Her sobs grew louder.

"You broke my home," she cried. "You stole my man. You stole my Suho."

Her voice cracked completely. "You are a home wrecker."

Hauen's eyes filled instantly. She did not want to, but Yerin's words pierced deep, sinking straight into her soul like sharp blades. And for a moment, the pain showed.

Yerin collapsed onto the ground, her knees giving up beneath her. She cried uncontrollably, her voice broken and hoarse.

"You stole my Suho…" she sobbed, over and over again.

Her cries echoed painfully, and every word struck Hauen like a blow. But Suho did not move. He did not soften. He did not feel pity.

If anything remained for Yerin in his heart, it was anger… and quiet hatred.

"I'll never forgive you for doing this to me," Yerin muttered through her tears. "You'll suffer. You'll pay for this."

She kept whispering curses, nonsense words born out of desperation and loss.

Hauen stood there, trembling silently. Tears slipped down her cheeks, but she did not fall apart. She took a shaky breath, gathering what little strength she had left.

"I didn't steal your man," she said softly. Her voice was low, almost fragile.

"I just… loved him. When you left him without looking back, breaking him into pieces."

The words were simple, but they crushed Suho's heart.

He pulled Hauen into his chest slowly, holding her tightly, protectively, as if shielding her from every cruel word in the world.

Yerin looked up at them. Her lips trembled. Her eyes burned with jealousy and pain.

But Suho did not even look at her. And that hurt her more than anything else.

In that moment, she understood it clearly. She had no place in his life. No role. No meaning. Nothing. She was just a forgotten stranger.

Yerin broke down completely, crying helplessly, unable to accept the truth.

Just then, the sound of approaching footsteps broke the moment. Officer Park arrived with his team, an arrest warrant in hand.

Suho looked at him, his face stiff, his emotions tightly controlled. Everything had finally reached its end.

Officer Park walked up to Yerin. She was still sitting on the ground, silent, tears slipping endlessly from her eyes.

"Miss Seo Yerin," he said firmly, "you are under arrest for falsely framing Kim Hauen in a criminal case, fabricating evidence, kidnapping her, and abducting Kang Hyunwoo."

Yerin did not react. She did not shout. She did not cry louder. She simply stared at the ground, empty.

Officer Park sighed and gestured to the female officer beside him. She nodded and moved forward, handcuffing Yerin. The officers lifted her up and began escorting her away.

Yerin walked silently, letting herself be dragged.

Bora stood frozen, watching Yerin being taken away.

Suho did not even turn back once. His arms stayed wrapped around Hauen, holding her close, steady, protective.

The police car drove out through the penthouse gate, its sound fading into the night.

Only then did Suho look down. Hauen was sobbing quietly against his chest, her tears soaking into his shirt.

He gently brushed her hair back and pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head.

"Hauena…" he whispered. "Everything is over now. Nobody can hurt you anymore."

She stayed quiet, her arms wrapped around him, face buried on his chest. Calming herself.

He held gently, grounding her, smiling, kissing her hair. He knew how ugly Yerin's words towards her were, how they might impact her.

After a few moments, she slowly looked up at him.

He smiled and leaned down, kissing her forehead. "You okay now?" he asked softly.

She finally smiled back, nodding. It was gentle… warm… but somewhere deep inside, Yerin's words still echoed faintly. But she hid it well, keeping her smile intact.

"Come," Suho said softly. "Let's go inside."

He guided her into the penthouse.

Bora's face lit up the moment she saw Hauen.

Hauen smiled widely. "How are you, Bora?"

"I'm fine, ma'am," Bora said happily. "How about you? Where have you been all this time?"

Suho smiled quietly to himself as the two of them began talking like friends reunited after years apart.

He stepped back, letting them talk. Slowly, gently, the heavy air inside the penthouse began to soften. After a long while, it felt… normal again.
