Instead, the massive lion-dragon hybrid was doing something far more dangerous. Its presence radiated outward, some form of command or influence washing over the remaining horde beasts. And they were responding.
The creatures that had been attacking multiple points along the defensive perimeter began disengaging, pulling back from Helena's eastern position, abandoning their northern flanking attempts, withdrawing from scattered probing attacks. They were consolidating, reforming into a single concentrated mass.
All aimed directly at Raze's position.
