After getting pregnant, Emma couldn't stand the second thing: not being allowed to drink coffee.
She couldn't drink, but still liked to stop by the cafe on the ground floor of the building where she worked, buying a few cups for her colleagues in the group.
"Emma, thank you. I got your free coffee again today."
Someone curiously asked: "You don't drink every day, but you always buy it for us, don't you mind?"
She smiled slightly: "Don't say that. My stomach hasn't been well lately, so the doctor told me to limit my coffee intake. Buying it for you isn't exactly 'buying it as a gift', but the smell of coffee wafting through the office makes me feel like I'm drinking it with you."
"Emma, you're so funny. Then we don't need to be polite anymore."
