The reason to why those guys were aiming for that kid was a bit complicated, i was able to see that they were part of a criminal organisation that called themselves a citizen's movement, but they were actually Magic Political Organization which actually called for an end to the political systems that treated Magicians as superior to normal people and eliminating the difference in treatment caused by the presence of magical abilities, the name of the organization was Blanche .
If someone were to listen to these words, he might think that those guys had a noble goal in mind, but that wasn't the case with this organization, i was able to tell due to infiltrating the mind of those guys, the members of Blanche all held deep resentment towards Magicians .
They don't care about equality or anything even remotely similar like justice, they just want the Magicians out of their lives, a criminal organisation through and through, the memories i just got the chance to browse through confirmed that those guys indeed were criminals willing to even kill Magicians that have nothing to do with the cause they were fighting for .
The Antinte rings in their hands were given to them by that organization, aiming to kill their target with it, a Magician without the ability to use magic was normally not that much of a threat due to its unique sequence that able to hinder most of the Magicians from being able to use magic .
The boy that they targeted by the order of those superior to them, he was meant to be set as an example, to show how strong was their movement is, the boy was a Magician, so he would have set a great example according to them, not to mention that the boy identity was somewhat special .
He was the mayor's of this town son, the consequences of them succeeding in doing what they wanted to do were unimaginable .
After reading the memories of those guys, i concluded that Blanche goal wasn't to be equal with the Magicians, no they wanted to kill all the Magicians, just because they were born as such .
After knowing the in and out of this situation, i controlled myself otherwise i would have killed all these useless guys, but i decided against it, they rotting in prison, seemed much more fitting, i already know of the place they were using as the center of their operation here, so i as well show them the big disparity between the Magicians and the normal people .
I made sure that those guys will stay asleep for a suitable amount of time and was able to see that the boy was already heading to this place and with him there were more than a dozen police officers, in front of the boy walked a middle aged man that was wearing a tag with his name and title as mayor written on it, he currently had an enraged expression on his face as he making his way towards here, that was the boy's father .
Looking at them like this, for some reason made me a bit uncomfortable, due to them reminding me of my own circumstances, i left this place seeing that there was no more reason for me to stay here and began heading towards the center of those guys operation, wanting to find the mastermind behind all of this incident and removing this organization from the town .
I reached an inn like hotel this place where those guys tended to meet other members in and get their orders from, the bartender was responsible for giving the information needed, i was able to recognize that his face was different than the one in the memories of those guys, but there was no mistake that he was the same person .
Ironically the guys who initiated their movement on wanting to be equal with the Magicians on the surface, had actually Magicians among their ranks, like the guy in front of me for an example .
He may be able to fool others but with my sensitivity to Psions and my Spatial Eyes, i was able to see that he was using magic to change the structure of his face just so that no one would be able to recognize him .
I was still keeping an eye on the in, when i suddenly felt as if someone was watching me, i looked to where that feeling came to be from and saw a guy in a black armored suit with white lenses, peering at me from a quite far of a distance, he was anonymous to me at first and i was a bit guarded of his sudden apperance, but after i peered into the armored suit and saw who was inside, i was more of surprised and shocked than guarded .
This was all due to the fact that he was an old acquaintance of mine, one that i couldn't understand his reasons for appearing here like this all of a sudden, i raised my hand and waved at him and he nodded his head with an expression that was as before quite difficult to read .
I asked him to wait for a few seconds using sign language, we both learn it so that we make the communication between us more easier back when he used to visit, he nodded his head, but began to use Acceleration to close the distance .
I then got down and entered the inn, the moment i entered, i understood two things, one was that all the people in here were normal people and with Blanche, two, they already was expecting that someone would come knocking into their doors, but they were imagining that the person who would come was the Mayor or the police, not someone like me .
This place being with Blanche was no secret after all, what is happening behind the curtain was .
And they wasn't ready as wanting to turn themselves in kinda ready, no they were ready to use force if there was a need to do so, guns were already loaded and all of them had their Antinte rings on, they even had a secret basement that hide some kind of robots like humans, probably those were the genuine Enhanced Humans that one of those guys previously mentioned or maybe something else I'm not sure, all these things were quite new to me .
On my first time outside i was now dealing with a Movement that discriminated against Magicians and was now going to wipe out their stronghold, so it wasn't the best first day out of the facility that i had planned in mind, but just due to the fact that i became quite interested in knowing about this, i would say that it was a quite fulfuilling day .
The second i appeared on the door, they all tensed but soon calmed down when they saw the shabby looking me, my clothes were filled with holes and became tattered, but i was using Fabrication to show them something else .
Now that i was reminded of this, i couldn't help but turn my head towards the guy who was currently speeding towards me in the distance, wondering how was he able to tell that it was me, even though i currently looked like a completely different person, was he able to see through Fabrication or there was some other reason to it, i would ask him about it later, even though i already guessed that he would not give me a definitive answer .
Bullets were then fired and began to pour on me like rain, gaining access to why they did so, i couldn't help but chuckle to myself, the reason to they shot me was quite ridiculous, they shot because i turned my head, they thought that this was the signal for police to start infiltrating the place .
All their bullets were this time absorbed by Black Hole, then another small black hole appeared behind each and every person that shot at me and returned back their bullets at them, making them collapse on the floor instantly, normally killing a person and especially for the first time would have affected me mentally, but that wasn't the case at least not this time, i didn't label what i was currently doing as killing, i labeled it as retribution, every person here had the blood of at least 5 to 6 Magicians on their hands .
What was worse, was the fact that they didn't even have a shred of guilty conscience because of it not even a fraction of guilt, if anything some of them even celebrated and rejoiced their ability to do so, the blood on their hands came from killing kids, women, teens, old people, they didn't know nor they care about knowing any kind of information about theirs victims, all but one specific piece of information, that they were Magicians .
I first thought about handing them to the authorities, but i changed my mind, none of these guys deserved to be spared and none of them will be .
The sudden noise of gunshots alarmed the other members in the inn, door rooms were beginning to open and guns were being fired, but the result every time was still the same dying with bullets in the back of their heads, then they would collapse on the floor, stairs, ground, whatever they were standing on, i looked down and saw that the Enhanced Humans downwards were being activated, i killed the the guy using a Psion Bullet that was enough to put a hole in his chest, then he collapsed on the floor .
But the 5 enhanced humans were successfully activated and began running through the stairs and they appeard in front of me, they all wore the same clothes consisting of a black tee-shirt and black jeans and for some reason they wore sun glasses too, the moment they saw me they labeled me as an intruder and began to physically attack me .
I saw that they were using magic the same way those guys at the Matsumoto Base used to but the difference between the two were the fact that the guys in front of me had Psions already stored in them and the magic sequences was already engraved in them .
Whatever what those guys in front of me were, they were far away from being called humans, i was able to tell that they also shared the same deficiency as the guys in the base, a short life span, but those guys have an even shorter life span than the ones in the Matsumoto Base .
Their main focus was physical attacks, the magic engraved on them allowed them to hit much stronger and move faster, the moment the first one was able to successfully land an attack on me, i was for the first time feeling challenged physically, it only stung like a mosquito bite, but that was already quite something, i used the Acceleration circulation on both my arms and in an instant, destroyed two of the five models in front of me with two fast punches, i found that i was indeed right, even the insides of those guys were made of metal .
I was then held by the back of the head by one of the remaining 3 models wanting to restrict me from moving, as to give the other two models a chance to finally attack me, but that wasn't going to happen .
No matter how hard he tried to force my head move, i wasn't budging for even an inch, i then pointed at his head with a back handgun then used Psion Bullet to completely obliterate his face, he collapsed on the floor with his neck still had electric sparks coming out of it.
Seeing that there plan failed, they moved to different side of me and tried to attack simultaneously from a different angle, one came to attack with a kick and another was trying to sweep me off my feet, leaving me no chance to escape or evade, but i hadn't thought of evading in the first place .
The moment they came close to me, i used the first circulation of Psion i had tried to invoke, both of their bodies were suddenly affected by a huge and sudden increase of a gravity pull impacting both of their bodies, then they both crashed on the floor, the one that was going for the kick, was instantly split to pieces as his body came crashing down on the ground .
The other was a bit more lucky, his body was sticking to the floor and the earth beneath him even began to crack, then his body shook suddenly then he exploded .
The explosion was enough to engulf the whole building in it, i got out of the building in the middle of it being on fire, then a second later the building collapsed extinguishing the fire in the process as well .
I jumped over a rooftop and waited for officer Ooguro Ryuuya to arrive, yes the person i saw before peering at me was none other than the acquaintance i had made a year before and the guy who onec offered to help me get out, he was also the man that i decided to search for information about before, thinking that he might be able to help me up, i couldn't believe that his appearance here was a merely coincidence .
I was reminded of the alarming feeling i got before when i searched his name, it wasn't possible to locate me and appear like this in front of me almost an hour later, my intuition about something being wrong was indeed correct, the police and fire department arrived faster than he did, due to the fact that he was still a bit far from reaching the town .
They inspected what was left of the place and i saw the Mayor arriving soon later, he just said good work to the people doing their work, looked around as if searching for something or someone then he talked a bit with the chief officer, then got in the car and drove away .
I came to know after i kept my eyes on him that he was looking for me, not out of ill intention but purely want to express his thanks to me for saving his kid, the kid also was the initiator to him searching around the place for me, as he kept nagging him about wanting to meet me his hero .
I was beginning to feel a bit happy about the fact that i was being labeled as such, but looked at the state of the building and wondered, would a hero really go and do something like what i just did, 57 person was in that inn, all of them but one were normal people, but not one person out of all the 57 was innocent, that was what i kept telling myself, now and after everything was done, my conscience came to reprimand me about what took place .
But luckily mid the reprimanding, my Acquaintance finally arrived to where i was, saving me in the process .
