Ethan and Lyra, both, were moving downstairs, towards the well.
The house was a two-story house with a parents' bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen situated downstairs.
His brothers' room, his sister's—which was now empty, as his sister lived with her husband, and his room were upstairs.
The washroom was situated at the back corner of the house, and the bathing area was near the well, which was also situated at the back of the house but away from the washroom, in the other corner.
The front of the house had a lawn, and the whole house was surrounded by a fence, with a main gate.
And right now, Ethan and Lyra were both going towards the well so Ethan could bathe.
...
As both were walking, there was a silence between them, a comforting silence that Lyra felt due to the presence of Ethan.
But that was not the same for Ethan.
His mind was running here and there as he looked all around the house walls or whatever his eyes went on as they were ascending the stairs.
After a while of looking here and there, he got bored, as a thought crossed his mind.
'If previous Ethan. I mean, if I were unconscious, for how many days was I?'
Thinking, he looked at Lyra, who was walking next to him, as they had descended the stairs and were now moving towards the back of the house.
"Hey sis," He spoke, gaining her attention as she looked at him with a smile and hummed.
"Hm."
Hearing her hum, Eden asked his question, his voice neutral, and a normal smile on his face, as though he was asking, 'How was the weather?'
"For how many days was I unconscious?"
Listening to him, Lyra stopped, her smile vanishing as a hurt expression appeared on his face.
Seeing her stop, Ethan also stopped and looked at her with a curious face.
Lyra knew Ethan was not going to let go of this topic, so she took his hands, her fingers intertwining with his, as she spoke.
"Seven days."
"Oh, ok," Ethan replied.
The answer didn't affect him that much. Instead, it increased his curiosity.
How was he not feeling any effect of being unconscious for seven days?
'That Robert guy should be the reason behind this.' He thought, getting his answer from the memories, as he once again started to move towards the back of the house.
Seeing Ethan moving once again, Lyra studied her worrying heart as she also started to walk with him, her hands still around his.
...
After opening the back door of the house.
Ethan and Lyra entered the back area of the house.
The area was open, with only a fence surrounding it, and it was divided into two parts.
One corner had a washroom, and the second corner was where the well was, with bathing tools.
As Ethan entered through the door, his eyes went towards the washroom section, then to the well area, where his mother was arranging clay tubs.
Her clothes were wet, and her face showed fatigue.
Hearing the sounds of footsteps, Selene looked towards the door and smiled, her fatigue disappearing.
"Oh, you guys came."
As Ethan and Lyra reached her, Lyra let go of Ethan's hand and moved towards Selene, and took the tub from her hands.
"You can take a break now, Mother. I will do it."
"Thanks, Lyra," Selene said, moving towards Ethan.
"How are you feeling?" She asked.
"Fine," Ethan replied as he saw Lyra taking water from the well and then pouring it into clay tubs.
"Should I help?" He asked, even though he knew what the answer to his question would be.
"You don't have to. I can do it alone, you know." Lyra spoke, straightening up as she flexed her nonexistent biceps, with a smile on her face.
"Yes, Ethan." His mother also said, standing next to him.
"Okay," Ethan replied, after listening to both ladies, making them both smile a little.
Lyra once more got to her work.
As Selene had already filled all of them, leaving only two. It didn't take much time before Lyra filled the remaining ones.
After filling the tub, she moved towards a tub from which steam was coming out as she pulled it in front of the wooden bath stool before mixing the water.
After doing it, she straightened up, wiping the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand, and spoke up, with a smile on her face.
"It's done."
"Mm, okay," Selene spoke to Lyra, turning towards Ethan.
But before she could do anything, Lyra jumped in between her and Ethan.
"Mother, you should rest. You haven't even slept properly for days," Lyra spoke, before eyeing Ethan, as she added, her voice carrying an undertone of something, "And you don't have to worry, Mother; I will help him wash up."
Hearing Lyra's words, a soft smile emerged on Selene's lips.
"Thanks for worrying about me, Lyra. But as you can see, I am sweaty," Selene spoke, looking at Lyra, before her eyes moved towards Ethan. As she spoke again, her smile widening a little, "And it's been years since I had taken a bath with him, due to his shyness, so I don't really want to miss this opportunity, as he is not protesting right now."
Selene's words made Lyra realize the situation, as she nodded in response.
"Okay, Mother."
Seeing the back-and-forth between his sister-in-law and mother, Ethan couldn't help but grumble inside.
'Aren't they going to ask me if I want to take a bath with them or not? I am not a kid—who can't bathe alone properly.'
Even though he was grumbling inside, he didn't speak his thoughts aloud because he knew they still wouldn't listen. As he had just woken up from being unconscious for a week—even if he was looking all well, it didn't erase their worries for him.
And not that he cared about bathing with them, as who would throw away a chance to take a bath with two beauties?
Not his virgin ass.
After their back-and-forth, Lyra and Selene both moved towards the standing Ethan.
