Chapter 317 - Kakashi, Her Name Is Hanare

"Your voice is very beautiful. I've never seen a woman whose voice sounds more ethereal and pleasant than yours."

Inside the room, after hearing Yuzuru's praise, Hanare lifted the hem of her dress and bowed gracefully.

"Thank you for the compliment, Lord Yuzuru. Being able to perform song and dance for you is my honor."

Feeling the sincerity in her words, Yuzuru nodded in satisfaction. "Let's go. I'll take you around Konoha."

"Alright."

After changing into casual clothes, Hanare followed him onto the streets of Konoha.

To her, everything in the village felt new and fascinating.

Many of the things here were things she had never even heard of in the Land of Rice Fields.

A paradise on earth.

That was the deepest impression Konoha gave her.

She could not help but sigh in admiration. "Konoha truly deserves its reputation as the most prosperous village in the ninja world. The people living here are incredibly fortunate."

Seeing that her reaction was genuine, Yuzuru smiled. "When the Land of Rice Fields eventually submits to Konoha, I'll transform it into a place that won't be any worse than this."

Hearing that, Hanare looked at him in shock. "Lord Yuzuru, are you serious?"

Yuzuru nodded. "With my position, there's no reason for me to deceive you."

"In fact, my goal is to unify the ninja world and make every place as prosperous as Konoha."

It was the first time she had heard about his goal, and Hanare felt momentarily dazed.

Such a thing sounded far too unbelievable. If anyone else had said it, she would have assumed they had gone completely insane.

But the person standing before her was Yuzuru.

She could not help but feel a trace of hope.

"Lord Yuzuru… can something like that really be achieved?"

"Many places in the ninja world are barren and poor. They don't have the natural advantages Konoha possesses."

Yuzuru glanced down at her calmly.

"Then why do you think I insist on unifying the ninja world?"

"Once everything is under my control, allocating resources will be nothing more than a single command."

For a moment, the image of Yuzuru in Hanare's mind began to crumble.

In her previous impression, he had only been a man driven by ambition, someone who would wage war without caring about the lives of others.

But now she realized something else.

His vision was unimaginably vast.

Let everyone in the ninja world live prosperous lives…

Even she understood that such a goal could never be easily achieved.

Noticing that Hanare was staring at him without blinking, Yuzuru revealed a gentle smile.

He lowered his head slightly and said, "Many people think I'm a bloodthirsty killer, but I don't care."

"For the sake of change, someone will inevitably have to bleed and sacrifice."

"Only by removing those parasites who can't keep up with the progress of the times can tomorrow become better."

"So I won't mourn the people I've killed."

"Because time will prove that I was right."

Looking at the seriousness on his face, Hanare suddenly felt as if a small deer was running wildly inside her chest.

From the moment she was born until now, it was the first time she had experienced such a raw and primal stirring of emotion as a woman.

In her eyes, Yuzuru seemed to glow.

Every part of him radiated an irresistible charm.

Only then did Hanare remember that before launching wars against other nations, Yuzuru had already accomplished many earth-shaking feats.

He had strengthened the Uchiha clan and formed cooperation with the Land of Lightning, turning it into the strongest nation in the ninja world. Bandits and rogue ninjas had almost disappeared.

He had overthrown the daimyo system, ensuring that ninja were no longer treated as lowly tools.

He had killed Sarutobi Hiruzen and others, introduced numerous welfare policies that benefited the people, and transformed the Land of Fire from a place where people once resorted to cannibalism into a land where everyone now lived in prosperity.

All those past events had proven that Yuzuru was right.

Then this time would surely be no exception.

Thinking of this, Hanare spoke firmly.

"Lord Yuzuru, please use me as you wish. I'm willing to give everything to help you achieve your goal."

Seeing the expression on her face, Yuzuru nodded inwardly.

When it came to relationships between men and women, he had always believed emotions were important.

Even if they "boarded the bus before buying the ticket," feelings still needed to be developed.

Although they had only been walking around and chatting casually, which might seem a little rushed, as long as the man himself was strong enough, the results would not be bad.

Just like riding a bicycle.

Some people studied for three years and still couldn't ride it properly, while others could stand up on the pedals and ride skillfully within just a few days.

With that thought, Yuzuru reached out and held Hanare's hand.

She trembled slightly, then clasped his hand in return.

Perhaps even she had not noticed that her mindset had quietly changed.

As the two walked down the street, two ninja suddenly appeared and blocked their path.

"Brother Yuzuru?"

Obito asked uncertainly.

Yuzuru nodded. "Keep your voice down."

A grin immediately appeared on Obito's face. He nudged the person beside him.

"See? I told you it was Brother Yuzuru. You're paying for dinner tonight."

Kakashi shrugged indifferently and greeted him.

"Lord Yuzuru."

Yuzuru responded and casually asked, "I haven't seen the two of you in a while. What have you been busy with lately?"

At his question, Obito's eyes instantly lit up with excitement.

"Brother Yuzuru, do you think I could become a famous novelist in the ninja world like Jiraiya?"

Yuzuru looked at him in surprise. "You're going to write novels?"

"Yep!"

"What made you think of that?"

"I took a look at the book Kakashi reads every day, Icha Icha Paradise. Honestly, it didn't seem that impressive. I think I could write something just as good."

At that point, Kakashi said helplessly, "You? You've been stuck for days and still haven't written anything."

Obito raised his eyebrows and immediately retorted, "Nonsense. I've already written the opening!"

He pulled a small booklet out from his clothes.

"Even though it's only one sentence, the beginning is always the hardest part. Once I get started, the rest will be easy."

Yuzuru actually felt a bit curious. He snatched the booklet from Obito's hand and opened it.

After just one glance, the corner of his mouth twitched.

Written inside was a single line:

Obito's grades at the Ninja Academy were not very good...

Using his own name as the protagonist was one thing, but the sentence itself somehow felt strangely familiar.

Still, he really was curious to see what kind of story Obito would end up writing.

With that thought, Yuzuru patted Obito on the shoulder.

"Not bad. I'll be your first reader."

Hearing that, Obito burst into excited laughter and proudly showed off to Kakashi.

"Hahaha! Kakashi, even Brother Yuzuru says my writing is good. What do you say now?"

Kakashi glanced helplessly at Yuzuru.

"Lord Yuzuru, you really spoil him."

Then he suddenly noticed Hanare standing beside Yuzuru, holding his hand.

Kakashi couldn't help but say, "Lord Yuzuru, your luck with women really never ends."

"And this lady is…?"

A faint smile appeared on Yuzuru's lips as he said softly,

"Her name is Hanare. She's a ninja from the Land of Rice Fields."
