Chapter 129 - Chapter 129 The Forgotten Eriri

Snowfield City.

"Camelot folks, then this king eagerly anticipates the next competition."

After Ryuya left, Female Gil and the others, having completed the Holy Grail War as False Servants and False Masters, also turned into bubbles and vanished from this world.

Bidding farewell to Artoria, Morgan, and the others, within the golden afterimages, Female Gil from Uruk and the Artoria from Camelot also smiled and waved to Irisviel, embracing her before departing.

Those left behind were Tokiomi, Kayneth, Kirei, Irisviel, Artoria, and Waver.

"Since this Holy Grail War is resolved, we shall take our leave."

Uncertain where Ryuya went, Tokiomi and Kirei sighed with emotion, then left after saying goodbye.

Kayneth, however, had another matter.

"You go ahead, Kayneth."

Her presence had been weak throughout, but this very weakness highlighted Sola-Ui's completely different personality.

The girl who should have been passionate was now cold as ice. Puzzled, Kayneth saw something in his fiancée's eyes.

It was coldness, disgust, and displeasure towards him.

"Sola, you..."

He very much wanted to talk to Sola-Ui about what was wrong, but Kayneth understood now wasn't the time. After some thought, he felt some things could be discussed later.

He also glared fiercely at Waver, but contrary to Kayneth's expectations, his timid disciple showed no fear at all.

Slightly surprised, he wasn't angry but instead felt this version of Waver had some magus backbone.

Flicking his robe, Kayneth also left.

As for Waver, he just held the fragment of Iskandar's cloak, remained silent for a long while, and then quietly left.

"Einzbern-san, I'd like to ask about your Master."

As the daughter of a magus family, Sola, though lacking talent, understood power well and had been biding her time, suppressing her feelings.

Was it love that sharpened one's observation?

Watching Irisviel, she had observed more carefully than Kayneth and the others. Her intuition told her Ryuya wouldn't return for some time.

Chatting with Irisviel about Ryuya, the two discovered the Saber hadn't left. Saber was calling out alone, seemingly a bit hungry.

"Lily... Ah, I call someone else Lily too. Sorry, force of habit."

"It's fine, I don't mind."

Shaking her head, Saber indicated Irisviel needn't worry.

"Then let me ask, Lily, aren't you returning to the Throne of Heroes?"

In a world where all other Servants were gone, Artoria's presence was particularly conspicuous.

Not understanding why Saber hadn't left, Irisviel blinked. She didn't remember Ryuya mentioning this before leaving.

"My contract with the Throne of Heroes is broken."

When near death, Saber had made a contract with Alaya. She was one of the few who entered the Throne not through death but in a peculiar state.

Since the path to the Root was closed, her contract with Alaya was also severed. The current Saber was like a girl who had gained freedom.

"Ah? The contract ended? So you're a normal person now?"

"Should I make you something to eat?"

Remembering the mature Artoria from Camelot often ate, Irisviel asked.

"If it's not too much trouble..."

Her face slightly red, feeling Irisviel gave off the aura of a beautiful princess, Saber's new life with the Einzbern Family began here.

Meanwhile, the real world.

"Hey, Tengu, how did you get so small? I remember you were quite large back then."

"Ryuya-sama, it's been over two hundred years. I've aged. My children handle affairs now."

"Ohh, I see."

Nodding, Ryuya looked at the other youkai.

The dog demon who had started gaining weight, the ox demon dedicated to the path of slaughter, the wolf tribe leader, etc...

All were the great youkai who had followed him during the Bakumatsu Era.

Besides them, there were many new faces. According to Souji, these were minor youkai absorbed by the youkai community later.

Over the years, the Shinsengumi had adhered to Ryuya's original principles, helping humans, absorbing good youkai, punishing evil ones, etc.

After returning to the real world, that very evening, Souji, Kaguya, and Haruno rushed to Ryuya's apartment.

Seeing the man was fine, the three, greatly relieved, showed no intention of leaving.

Souji, needless to say, would definitely not leave her lover. Haruno's thoughts were temporarily unclear to anyone, but she clearly stated her intention to live with Ryuya and Yukino.

As for Kaguya, she just blushed without speaking, claiming she was just checking on her companions' safety.

After that, Ryuya followed Souji to the Shinsengumi's Headquarters and met the great youkai from back then.

They expressed immense joy at Ryuya's return. The youkai's excitement stunned the minor youkai, who watched their bosses crying like children before a human, feeling they had witnessed something unbelievable.

After catching up with the great youkai, Ryuya took Souji back to the newly prepared apartment. That night, he rested with Yukino and Souji.

In the following days, Ryuya and Yukino resumed their normal studies. Souji, with Ryuya's Midnight Lost Child, continued handling Shinsengumi's affairs. Haruno went to the Shinomiya Conglomerate with Kaguya during the day, returning home in the evening for shared meals like barbecues.

The only problem was...

"Onii-chan."

"Hmm? What is it, Yuki-chan?"

Turning to look at Yukino, Ryuya asked.

"Did we... forget something?"

Her increasingly intimate relationship with Ryuya left Yukino feeling elated daily, especially with fewer rivals around. It was truly wonderful.

But she felt they might have forgotten something important. Wasn't there a club she was part of?

Inside the Mutual Aid Club's classroom.

"Yukino! Ryuya! When are you two coming back?!"

All the messages she sent to Yukino and Ryuya went unanswered.

Eriri wasn't the type to persistently bother others, at least she felt... Yukino and Ryuya wouldn't just ignore her like this.

Working hard on her drawings, growing more confused, she recalled the planned shopping trip for art supplies a week ago.

'When would it ever happen?'

This was truly vexing for Eriri!
