Chapter 191 - Chapter 191: How to Cultivate Ultra Instinct to Whis’s Level

What Champa had realized, Vados had naturally realized as well.

Five years from now… just how terrifying would this kid become?

She slowly licked her lips, her scorching gaze fixed on Gran as if she wanted to devour him whole.

Absolutely tempting…

"Sister, what exactly are you planning to do?"

Whis stepped in front of her line of sight, clearly displeased.

The corner of Vados's mouth twitched. "Can you stop guarding against me all the time?"

"Why would I guard against you?" Whis replied flatly. "You don't know the answer yourself?"

"..."

Vados shot her infuriating little brother a fierce glare.

The group began walking toward Old Kai's direction, moving soundlessly, careful not to disturb him.

Beneath the great tree—

Old Kai had already noticed Beerus and the others returning. Calm as ever, he casually put away the photo magazine in his hands.

When Beerus and the rest drew close, Old Kai spoke,

"Greetings, Lord Beerus, greetings—"

"That's enough."

Beerus waved his hand. "Just focus on unlocking this kid Gran's potential."

"Lord Beerus, it's fine," Old Kai replied confidently. "As long as no one storms into the Supreme Kai Realm, nothing else will affect me."

"Oh?"

Beerus raised an eyebrow. He hadn't expected Old Kai's potential-unlocking technique to reach such a level of stability.

"Lord Beerus," Old Kai finally voiced the doubt he'd been holding back,

"Why did the Grand Priest summon all the Gods of Destruction?"

Back when Beerus had been summoned, Old Kai had been worried sick.

Especially when Beerus and Whis vanished for an entire month—he'd truly thought something catastrophic had happened.

"It was nothing," Beerus said casually. "The Grand Priest just made us Gods of Destruction fight each other again."

"…What?!"

Old Kai's face changed instantly.

"Then—then did you win, Lord Beerus? And what about Quitela? That bastard once sent people to ambush our candidate God of Destruction—did you kill him?!"

Despite looking like a frail old man who couldn't even tie up a chicken, Old Kai's words were filled with shocking killing intent.

Talking about killing a God of Destruction like it was nothing—terrifying.

Champa and Vados exchanged glances, silently agreeing:

There really isn't a single normal person in Universe Seven.

"Hmph!"

Beerus lifted his chin proudly. "With my strength, victory was naturally mine!"

He then recounted the Grand Priest's true purpose in summoning them, embellishing the battle between the Gods of Destruction with no small amount of dramatic flair.

Old Kai and Shin listened, completely dumbfounded.

"Even though you didn't manage to kill Quitela, that was to be expected," Old Kai said with a satisfied grin.

"Lord Beerus, you did absolutely splendidly!"

Shin couldn't help clenching his small fists. With a God of Destruction like this backing them, the sense of security was overwhelming.

"Alright, enough chatter."

Beerus shifted his gaze to Gran.

Gran had already changed back into his God of Destruction attire. His streamlined muscles were perfectly defined, radiating pure power.

"This guy's been hiding his strength ever since he came out of the Time Chamber. You're unlocking his potential—you should know exactly how strong he is by now—"

Before Beerus could finish, Old Kai interrupted him.

"Lord Beerus, you really shouldn't ask."

Gran said that until that battle officially begins, he wants to keep an air of mystery.

Old Kai's grin was impossible to suppress—clearly, he was extremely satisfied with Gran's current level.

"Even from me?"

Beerus pointed at himself.

"Yes."

"..."

Beerus didn't know whether to laugh or get angry.

But seeing Old Kai's expression, he knew one thing for sure—

Gran's strength was definitely no joke.

Since Gran had insisted, Beerus didn't press further.

Instead, he asked, "How long will it take to finish unlocking his potential?"

Old Kai sat cross-legged, pondered for a moment, then answered,

"About five years."

The moment those words fell—

Beerus, Whis, Champa, and Vados all exchanged looks.

Five years.

Even they hadn't expected it to take that long.

But then again

Given Gran's current dimensional level and power, five years wasn't strange at all.

And five years just so happened to align perfectly with the upcoming Candidate God of Destruction battle.

Meaning

The timing was perfect.

"Fine," Beerus said. "Focus on unlocking his potential."

He then shoved Champa toward the lakeside.

By the lake.

Beerus asked, "Dead fat pig, you heard it. Gran needs five years before he comes out. What's your plan? Go back to Universe Six, or wait here?"

Champa fell silent.

He and Vados had come mainly to gauge Gran's current strength.

After all, in that future battle, he would be relying heavily on Gran.

"Vados, what do you think?" Champa asked.

Vados considered briefly.

"In the Time Chamber, we've already taught Hit everything we could. Even if we return, there's nothing left to do. So we might as well—"

Champa immediately understood.

Out of the twenty Candidate Gods of Destruction he had chosen, two-thirds were Saiyans—but in the end, only Hit could truly take the field.

As for Hit, just as Vados said, everything that could be taught had already been taught.

All that remained was steady training in the Time Chamber.

Returning to Universe Six would be pointless.

Better to stay in Universe Seven—

After all, there was far more good food here.

Champa licked his lips, eyes shining.

"Alright! Then we'll stay here. Five years from now, we'll return to Universe Six and bring Hit to participate in the battle!"

"Wise decision, Lord Champa," Vados said politely.

Her gaze drifted toward Gran's position, her eyes gleaming.

"Stop staring."

Whis once again blocked her view.

He was genuinely starting to worry about his sister.

With both of them staying here… would she start causing trouble again?

"Dead fat pig," Beerus warned coldly,

"You can stay, but don't you dare cause trouble. Otherwise, I'll deal with you personally."

Champa shrank his neck.

Whether he'd escape punishment in the future depended entirely on Gran—how could he dare mess around now?

"You're so naggy," Champa sighed.

"I won't do anything else."

He rubbed his belly.

"It's been ages since I've had Earth's food. Beerus, take me to eat something."

"Fine."

Beerus himself had been gone for a month—he was craving it too.

So he had Whis bring everyone along—Beerus, Champa, Vados, Whis, little Broly, and Shin—heading straight for Earth.

The Supreme Kai Realm was left with only Gran and Old Kai.

"Tch… these guys," Old Kai muttered.

"Going off to eat good food without even asking this old man."

He looked at Gran in front of him and sighed helplessly.

Once the potential-unlocking ritual began, he wouldn't be able to move anyway—might as well obediently stay here.

Old Kai somehow pulled out another photo magazine from who-knows-where.

And while he was happily flipping through it, Gran encountered a problem of his own.

Within a meditative world—

Silver light shimmered endlessly, stretching into infinity.

A phantom figure walked forward within it.

"How exactly do I cultivate Ultra Instinct… to Whis's level?!"

The phantom looked identical to Gran.

He was deeply immersed in his own meditative realm.
