...
On the arena.
A figure was moving rapidly toward the southern region.
His features were sharp and handsome, his muscles sculpted as though carved by divine lines. Clad in the uniform of a God of Destruction candidate, paired with eyes that seemed to look down upon all living beings—
He resembled an ancient deity reborn.
"Whoosh!"
It was Gran.
He was heading straight toward Hit.
Through his perception, he could sense that Hit had begun to be surrounded by two candidates. Hit's aura was finally starting to decline.
He needed to get there quickly.
But as Gran passed over a vast ocean—
Four figures were approaching from the opposite direction.
Lion Lambert of Universe One.
Mummy Harry of Universe Five.
Silver Fox Joel of Universe Eight.
Golden Sea Monster Blair of Universe Twelve.
"Hm?"
Gran paused for a fraction of a second.
Then he accelerated even further.
All four of their universes possessed a Mortal Level above 7.
From the beginning of the tournament until now, they had never revealed their true strength.
No one knew how powerful they truly were.
However, according to Whis, the candidates from Universe One and Universe Twelve had already reached Fourth-Tier instinctual mastery of the body.
"The guy from Universe Seven has surged to peak Sixth-Tier power. Be careful when we engage him!"
Lambert stomped across the ocean's surface as he warned the others.
"No wonder they told all ten of us to join forces," Harry said gravely. "So this is how strong he is."
"Enough talk. We're about to meet him. Get ready!"
Silver Fox Joel assumed a battle stance.
However
With a crashing sound, a streak of light flashed past them.
It was so fast they couldn't even react.
Only when the colossal wave Gran had stirred up crashed over them did they finally come back to their senses.
Golden Sea Monster Blair blinked blankly.
"Did… did he just ignore us?"
The words pierced the other three like blades.
Their blood instantly boiled.
They were candidates from the four strongest universes—
And they had just been ignored.
Utter humiliation.
"Damn it!!!"
Joel's face flushed red.
"He actually ignored us!"
Harry ground his teeth.
"Chase him! Catch him! I'll tear him to pieces!"
The four turned and pursued Gran in fury.
Yet during the chase—
They realized something terrifying.
No matter what they did
They simply couldn't catch up to him.
...
Southern Region.
What had once been a dense forest was now barren wasteland.
Under the corrosion of Destruction energy, the land had been stripped clean. Even the ground itself had collapsed in many places. Falling through one of those cracks beyond the arena boundary meant immediate elimination.
"Damn it! Why is this guy so hard to kill?!"
Slime Bellock of Universe Three barreled toward a distant mountain range.
Hit was fleeing in that direction.
Under normal circumstances, Hit—who only possessed Fourth-Tier power—should never have been able to contend with Fifth-Tier Bellock.
It was just like in the original animated battles—Hit couldn't even break Bellock's defenses.
But this time was different.
The arena was massive—planet-sized.
And Hit had never intended to fight head-on.
He had been using his time abilities purely to escape.
It perfectly validated what Champa once said—
Hit might not be the strongest fighter.
But if he wanted to run?
Almost no one could stop him.
After all
Hit wielded time manipulation on a level approaching that of the Angels.
"Running nonstop—what kind of skill is that? Fight me head-on if you've got the guts!"
Bellock rolled after him.
His method of movement was almost comical—his soft, elastic body compressed into a sphere, rolling like a bowling ball across the terrain.
"Tch. If I can't win, why wouldn't I run? Should I just stand still and let you kill me?"
Hit glanced back with a cold snort.
"If you've got the courage, go clash head-on with Gran later and let me see."
Unlike Bellock, Hit's movement technique was refined and precise.
With the lightest tap of his toe, his body would glide forward a tremendous distance.
Yet in terms of raw strength, he was still inferior.
As Bellock pushed himself at full speed, the distance between them slowly shrank.
At this point
Hit stopped using Time-Skip.
Instead, he unleashed his trump card:
Time Freeze.
Unlike Time-Skip, which allowed him to leap through moments
Time Freeze imposed his temporal power directly onto others.
It isolated the opponent's personal timeline.
If the opponent was weaker, they would be completely immobilized.
If stronger—
Their movements would still be slowed.
Of course…
This technique was also affected by the opponent's absolute strength.
Still, even the slightest delay was enough.
Each time Bellock nearly caught up—
Hit would use Time Freeze to widen the gap again.
Thus, a delicate balance formed.
No matter how hard Bellock tried
He couldn't quite close the distance.
"Stand still!"
Bellock roared in frustration, hurling a Destruction energy sphere.
BOOM!
The distant mountain range was obliterated instantly.
But Hit had already escaped using Time Freeze.
The arena was simply too large.
Without outside interference
The balance between Hit and Bellock might never be broken.
Just as Hit fled toward an even larger, more complex mountain range
A winged, heavyset woman suddenly appeared in front of him.
She had once dressed like Cupid—
But now wore the uniform of a God of Destruction candidate.
She was the Love Goddess of Universe Two.
Rosa.
She was… extremely large.
Nearly three hundred pounds in appearance.
"Hmph. You can't even catch trash with Fourth-Tier power. Useless."
Rosa blocked Hit's path.
Her voice also reached Bellock's ears.
Bellock stopped rolling, his gelatinous body trembling as he stared at her.
"What did you say?"
"I said you're useless. If Heles hadn't ordered me to cooperate with you first, I would've eliminated you already."
"You!"
Bellock and Rosa immediately began arguing.
Caught between them
Hit began to sweat.
Facing one candidate
He could still maintain balance, preserving his undefeated state.
But being flanked by two?
There was only one conclusion.
I'm dead.
"Hmph. Watch how I kill him."
Rosa suddenly ascended into the air.
?
Seeing someone flying
Both Hit and Bellock froze.
Then they realized—
She was flying using the wings on her back.
You can do that?
Bellock's eyes flickered.
His slime body suddenly morphed
Sprouting a pair of wings.
He flapped them.
WHOOSH!
Wind howled violently.
Bellock rose into the sky as well.
On an arena where flight was supposedly forbidden
Being cornered by two opponents who could fly—
Hit's expression darkened further.
