"Gran, you've finally come out!!"
Young Bulma cried out in delight, nearly overjoyed to tears.
"Why do you look so anxious—"
Gran had only spoken halfway when he suddenly sensed something.
Cell's aura had grown far stronger than before. If nothing unexpected had happened, then he had already absorbed the two Androids.
Perfect Cell's power level was roughly 2.5 billion—about the same as in the original anime timeline.
"What is that energy?"
Trunks also noticed Cell's presence.
Gohan frowned deeply. "Why is it mixed with so many familiar auras?"
"The two Androids from before were creations of someone called Dr. Gero. The owner of this aura is also one of his creations."
Gran briefly explained the grudge between the Red Ribbon Army and Son Goku, then continued:
"Their very reason for existing was to eliminate Kakarot. But in your timeline, Kakarot died long ago, so now their attention has turned to all of you."
After learning the true origin of the Android crisis, Future Bulma and the others were utterly shaken.
So everything traced all the way back to things Son Goku had done as a child.
Just as they were processing the revelation, Cell's voice echoed up from the world below:
"I'll give you one more hour! If you still refuse to come out, I'll destroy the Earth!"
Future Bulma's expression changed instantly.
She grabbed Trunks by the arm.
"My son… can you defeat that monster now?"
Young Bulma was also studying Gohan and Trunks carefully.
Both of them had matured greatly, yet from their hidden auras, she could not judge how much stronger they had become.
They must be suppressing their power.
Trunks exchanged a glance with Gohan, and both of them smiled faintly.
"Say something!" Future Bulma slapped her son's shoulder hard.
"Mom, don't worry."
Trunks' voice was full of confidence.
"Lord Gran trained Brother Gohan and me for five whole years. With our current strength, dealing with the one below is as easy as lifting a hand."
Gohan smiled as well.
"Aunt Bulma, there's no need to worry. Lord Gran said it himself—within the current universe, no one is our match anymore."
"R-Really?"
Future Bulma covered her mouth.
The despair she had carried for so many years crushed down upon her heart—and at this moment, she could no longer hold it back.
She burst into tears.
"Gohan… Trunks… you must avenge our family and friends!"
Her choked sobs echoed through the Heavenly Realm.
Gohan and Trunks both felt their noses sting.
Only they truly understood the hopelessness of these years.
And now… at last, they could take revenge.
"Lord Gran, we're going."
The two of them sniffed once, bowed respectfully to Gran, then leapt down from the Heavenly Realm and shot toward Cell's location at incredible speed.
"Gran, I want to watch the fun too."
Young Bulma wanted to join the excitement, but she also feared being blown to pieces by the shockwaves of battle, so she lightly nudged Gran's shoulder.
Gran rolled his eyes, then glanced at Future Bulma.
She was looking at him with the same hopeful expression.
Clearly, both Bulmas wanted to go.
"Fine. Let's go."
Gran extended both hands, grabbing one Bulma in each.
Then he stepped forward.
His entire body vanished straight into space itself.
This was not Instant Transmission—
It was Spatial Shift.
Southern Archipelago, Earth
A ripple tore through the air above the islands.
The next moment, Gran and the two Bulmas appeared in the sky.
Gran released them, folded his arms across his chest, and looked downward calmly.
The moment he let go, Future Bulma's heart skipped a beat. She thought she would fall—
Yet a mysterious force held her suspended in midair.
How incredible!
"Gran, is that the Cell you mentioned?"
Young Bulma hovered nearby, ignoring the stunned look on her older counterpart's face as she pointed toward the green figure standing on one of the islands.
Future Bulma also looked down.
Cell's face held a strangely sinister charm, but his body resembled an insect, covered in dense black spots. The combination made him look disturbingly unnatural.
"Yes. That is Cell—the ultimate weapon created by Dr. Gero."
As Gran spoke, Cell had already noticed their arrival.
"Hm? How did these people appear?"
He stared upward.
He had not sensed their arrival at all.
After examining them, he noticed something strange.
There were two Bulmas.
One older and more mature.
One younger.
And then there was the man with a tail wrapped around his waist—
A Saiyan.
Cell searched the database within his mind.
Dr. Gero had never recorded any information about this Saiyan.
However…
The memories he inherited from Androids 17 and 18 did contain fragments regarding this man.
And according to those memories—
The two siblings feared him greatly.
"Feared him?"
Cell was stunned.
Son Goku was already dead. There should be no one left capable of making those two feel fear.
"How interesting."
A thrill suddenly rose within him—perhaps because of the Saiyan blood inside his body.
"I'd like to see just how strong you really are."
He shot into the air and flew straight toward Gran.
"Lord Gran, he's coming!" Future Bulma cried nervously.
"Gohan and the others have arrived too."
Gran lifted his gaze.
Two golden streaks of light descended from the sky above.
BOOM!!
The power bursting from those two lights made the heavens tremble.
Measured by battle power, they had reached 50 billion and 10 billion respectively.
There was no way Cell could fail to notice it.
"What now?!"
Cell froze in midair.
With only 2.5 billion power, his body began trembling uncontrollably before those overwhelming forces.
In his vision, the two streaks plunged downward at terrifying speed.
In a single instant, they were right in front of him.
BOOM!!
Gohan and Trunks slammed to a stop, and the violent shockwave erupted outward.
Under the pressure of that blast alone, Cell could barely endure it. His body was forced downward toward the island below.
Future Bulma's face flushed red with excitement.
"My god! Trunks can become a Super Saiyan too! Lord Gran, you're amazing! How did you train them?!"
"Hey, hey, other me—don't get too excited."
Young Bulma raised her chin proudly.
"This is Gran we're talking about. Isn't it only natural that he's incredible?"
She seemed to have forgotten that the praise was not directed at her.
Gran's mouth twitched slightly.
Then he said calmly:
"Don't get too excited yet."
"This is only Super Saiyan 2."
"The truly spectacular part is still coming."
