Adrian froze. His eyes immediately shifted toward Achiku. She hadn't even spared him a glance.
Yet that voice…Why did it sound so much like Stella's?
Adrian's mind was filled with questions. 'Who had spoken?'
'Was Stella conscious?'
'Or was there something else inside her that he still didn't understand?'
He had several questions he desperately wanted to ask, but one thing had already become clear to him.
He would never understand everything happening inside this room.
So instead of interfering, Adrian forced himself to remain still and focused on the bigger picture.
Stella had to wake up. That was all that mattered. Achiku suddenly reached toward the staff floating beside her.
The wooden staff seemed to have remained suspended in the air throughout the ritual, held there by the power of her magic.
With both hands, Achiku performed several intricate movements while continuing her incantations.
