Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Bloodline Speciality.

Chapter 68: Bloodline Speciality.

Aiden walked towards the main hall, the same one where the history class had happened. His steps were steady and calm, his expression quiet as always.

This was also one of the classes in which students from all departments would be present in the same hall, so the hallway was crowded with students rushing toward the hall. Aiden, however, walked straight through without paying attention to the noise.

As he walked forward, Aaron and Victoria were speeding behind him to catch up to him. Their footsteps echoed lightly as they tried to match his pace.

Olivia was far away from them, walking slowly and thinking about something with a slightly confused expression. Aaron and Victoria finally reached Aiden as they silently followed behind him without saying a word, just keeping up with his pace.

They then reached the hall. Once again, all the students saw Aiden and went completely silent. The moment he stepped inside, whispers died down, and many eyes locked onto him.

His calm face, his straight posture, and his silent presence made everyone tense up. Aiden walked to the back of the hall and sat in a corner. Aaron and Victoria sat beside him quietly.

After a few minutes, Olivia entered the hall as well. She looked around for a moment before spotting them at the back. She walked over and sat beside Victoria, still carrying a curious look on her face.

After a few moments, a man wearing a white coat that was hanging around his body entered the hall. His appearance was striking. He had dark purple hair that looked messy and brown eyes that seemed half-open.

His skinny figure looked like he was all bones, and he had deep, dark circles around his eyes. He was tall in height, around 5.11 feet, but his posture made him seem even taller.

He arrived in front of the speech desk and said slowly, his tone filled with tiredness and laziness, "Hello, my name is Kevin Asmodia. I am your professor for the Mana and Blood Relation class." His voice dragged a little at the end of every sentence, making it clear he lacked energy.

Then he yawned as if he had not slept for days and said, "I don't have any particular rules for my class. I will give you the lecture, and you will ask questions. You are all free to leave or enter whenever you want, and if you don't want to come to my class, it's completely fine."

Everyone heard this as they were clearly surprised by how lazy and easy-going Kevin was as a professor. They had not expected him to be so carefree. Some even looked at each other in disbelief. Everyone in the hall was left speechless as they tried to comprehend his words.

After a few seconds, Kevin yawned again and began to speak, "Okay, now I will start the lecture for today. If anyone wants to leave, they can leave."

He waited for a moment to see if someone would actually stand up and go. But no one stood up to leave, as everyone present here wanted to learn and become strong.

No student wanted to miss important knowledge about mana and bloodline. Kevin then took a breath and began his lecture.

"First, I will tell you all about the relations between Mana and Bloodline."

The hall grew silent again as all eyes focused on him.

"As you all know, when a person creates a mana heart, they become a mana cultivator. But to successfully create a mana heart, you will have to make all the veins in your body turn into mana veins."

"This, in turn, makes your whole body filled with mana. Mana then begins to fuse with the body as the person advances and becomes stronger. Thus, mana and their whole body become one. Mana then integrates itself into the person's DNA."

Students nodded slowly. Some were hearing this for the first time and were shocked, while others had known a little but not in this detail.

"So if two high-stage mana cultivators were to have a child, the child would have the mana DNA of his parents inside his body. Thus, he will most likely have an affinity with the same elements as his parents."

"If a daughter is born, then she will most likely have her mother's mana affinity. And if a boy is born, he will most likely have the same elemental affinity as his father. But this is not permanent. A daughter could have the same affinity as her father."

"Or a son could have the same elemental affinity as his mother. A child can also have the elemental affinity of both his parents, but these three cases are rare, especially the third one."

Kevin stopped for a moment and looked at the students. "Now, does anyone have a question?"

Everyone heard this as they began to discuss between each other in low voices. At this moment, Aiden suddenly handed Aaron, who was sitting beside him, a small piece of paper. His movement was small and silent, but Aaron noticed it clearly.

Aaron took the paper and read it. After reading it, he thought for a second, then took a small breath and stood up with his right hand raised.

Kevin looked at him and said, "What do you want to ask?"

Aaron took a deep breath as he said hesitatingly, "I… I wanted to ask what a bloodline speciality is."

Kevin heard this and was completely stunned. He had never imagined a new student to ask this question, even though he was planning to teach them about bloodline speciality in the next class. For a moment, he stared at Aaron with eyes slightly wider than before.

He looked at Aaron and said, "Very good question. I will tell you what a bloodline speciality is, even though I had planned to teach about it in the next class."

Then he took a breath and began.

"A bloodline speciality is a special trait that many noble families have because of their long history of mana cultivators. Their mana fuses with their DNA again and again, and their children get the same elemental affinity again and again."

"So this, in turn, makes them special, as they are then born with a body that supports that family's element."

"After a century, every male child that is born will have that specific elemental affinity, and there will be no male child born in the family that doesn't have that elemental affinity. The daughters can have different elements due to their mother being from other families, but the son will have that element no matter what."

"An example of this is the Draconia family. They have a Lightning element bloodline speciality, so every child that is born in their family will definitely have lightning elemental affinity. The former Azirph family was also the same, with having bloodline affinity for parasitic mana."

"But there was one difference in them from the other families. The Azirph family was very large, and they didn't let anyone from outside their bloodline marry into their family. This, in turn, had an effect that even their daughters would have the bloodline speciality."

Kevin paused again and looked at the class. "That's all about bloodline speciality. Is it clear, or do you have any other questions?"

Aaron heard this as he shook his head and sat back down. Then other students began asking questions, but Aiden was in deep thought as he comprehended the bloodline speciality.

His eyes looked calm, but his mind was moving fast as he memorised everything Kevin said.

After a few minutes, he memorised every word. Then he heard Kevin's voice again.

"The class is dismissed. All of you can leave now." As he said this, he suddenly disappeared from the stage, leaving no trace of mana behind.

All the students stood up as they walked out of the hall. Aiden and the company also began to walk toward the door as Aiden walked forward. Victoria and Aaron were behind him as Victoria whispered to Aaron, "How did you know about bloodline speciality when even I don't know about it?"

Aaron replied, "I also didn't know about it. Julian gave me a piece of paper on which it was written, 'Ask the professor about bloodline speciality.' So I asked him."

Victoria realised as she whispered, "So it was Julian, huh."

Olivia, who was walking behind them, heard everything as she added, "But how did Julian know about it?"

Aaron and Victoria heard this, and they both began to wonder how he knew about it. All three of them wanted to ask Aiden about it, but they all knew that he would not reply even if they asked him.

So they gave up on asking and continued walking.

After a few moments, they arrived at the area where the path to every department led. Aiden, who was walking in front, headed toward the water department as he planned to take the Basics of Water class.

Julia went toward the wind department. Olivia went to the parasitic department while Aaron went to the light department.

Aiden entered the class as every student present began to whisper about him. He ignored them as he sat in the back. After a few moments, a lady with blue hair and blue eyes entered the classroom. She was wearing a brown regal dress. She was Sophia de Sade—the professor who had taken Aiden's registration interview.

She entered the class as she politely said, "Good morning, everyone."

Everyone heard this as they all replied—except Aiden—"Good morning, ma'am."

Sophia then glanced around the class as she was searching for someone. Suddenly, she spotted Aiden sitting at the back. She smiled at him and said, "Julian, why are you sitting at the back all alone?"

Aiden heard this but didn't reply.

Many students felt Aiden's behaviour was rude, but didn't say anything, as they all knew how strong he was. But suddenly, a girl with dark blue hair and eyes stood up. She was Ashley Lopez. She looked at Aiden and then said to Sophia:

"Ma'am, he is sitting there all alone because he fights everyone, so all of the students are scared of him. And he is also disrespectful to the professors just because he is from a strong family."

Sophia, who was Ashley's aunt, was completely surprised by her words, because she already knew about the fights Aiden had been through, and she knew it wasn't his fault.

The others had started the fights. But she didn't know anything about him disrespecting a professor.

What surprised her even more was that Ashley had said Aiden was from a strong family, while in reality, he was just a commoner. She had asked William herself about Aiden's origin and his relationship with him.

William had told her that he had saved Aiden when his parents were in a conflict and died. He saw potential in Aiden and took him in to train him as his guard. So Sophia, who completely believed William, didn't doubt his words.

She then looked at Ashley and said, "Ashley, I think you have misunderstood something. I was the one who took Aiden's admission interview, and I also confirmed with the principal. Julian is not from a strong or noble family. He is an orphan from the countryside."

This revelation left everyone in the class speechless.

Aiden, who was a commoner without any support, had beaten the young master of the Draconia family while also confronting a professor for someone else.

This didn't make any sense to them. It was impossible to comprehend because to do this, a person must have immense confidence in themselves, and Aiden had done it.

No one else in the class could do the same, even if they had the support of a noble family.

The class was in complete silence as their minds couldn't comprehend it.

Author's Note: Aidens learns about bloodline speciality, but this makes things even more confusing for him as he was trying to find his own bloodline speciality.
